#257 · 257 of 310

Do You Remember Love?

The other party fell silent for a moment before slowly rising.

"I’m just very curious."

Izayoi Sakamaki raised a brow. "Curious about what?"

"Or rather, as an Omniscient and Omnipotent being, there are actually things you don’t know?"

Faced with Izayoi Sakamaki’s jab, "Chloe" seemed utterly unconcerned.

"She" said softly, "In most circumstances, I am naturally Omniscient and Omnipotent."

"To put it bluntly, even what you are doing, I know perfectly well."

Izayoi Sakamaki frowned, his expression turning cold.

"If you came here just to show that off, then you can leave now."

The other party fell silent for a moment before continuing.

"No, I was merely proving my identity."

"I haven’t yet mentioned what I’m truly curious about."

Izayoi Sakamaki frowned. "What exactly are you curious about?"

"I don’t think there’s any need for you to specifically send out a projection because of us."

"Chloe" replied, "Of course there is."

"Just what method do you use to chat?"

Izayoi Sakamaki froze. "What?"

Seeing that Izayoi Sakamaki did not seem to understand, "Chloe" elaborated.

"How do you communicate? Why can’t I see it at all?"

"Before the Hounds of Tindalos noticed you, I had not even realized that such a Spacetime existed beyond the scope of my dominion."

"What exactly is that?"

Just hearing about Yog-Sothoth’s surveillance made Izayoi Sakamaki clench his fists.

…It seemed the situation was even more serious than he had imagined.

Before coming into contact with the Outer Gods, Izayoi Sakamaki had constantly wondered what kind of being had created something like the Chat Group.

Who could possibly possess such great power?

It was not until he encountered the Outer Gods that Izayoi Sakamaki thought he had found the answer.

—The Chat Group was Yog-Sothoth’s handiwork.

After all, that being spanned Spacetime and could completely create something like this.

It could also let them travel between universes.

After all, in essence, they were merely moving back and forth across that being.

Yet he had not expected that today, when facing the other party directly and thinking he was about to ask some question,

he would say that it was not his "masterpiece."

For a moment, Izayoi Sakamaki was lost.

The question was, aside from Yog-Sothoth, who else had the power and standing

to create a Chat Group like this?

Izayoi Sakamaki was deeply puzzled.

So he voiced his doubts.

Yog-Sothoth looked even more shocked than he did.

"Of course it wasn’t me! And in terms of standing, we may even be equals!"

Izayoi Sakamaki immediately frowned.

If it was not this The Unifier of All Things, then who else could it be?

Izayoi Sakamaki said, "If I remember correctly, you said before that while you are Omniscient and Omnipotent to us, there are still things you do not know?"

"Chloe" replied, "Of course. And the Chat Group is not the only thing I do not know about."

"There are many other unknowns… for example… you should know where I was born."

Izayoi Sakamaki also said quietly,

"The Nameless Mist."

That was where Yog-Sothoth had been born.

…No one knew what kind of abyss lay within it.

Izayoi Sakamaki had even entertained the thought of exploring it once everything was over.

But seeing that even Yog-Sothoth did not know what was inside made him frown.

Given Yog-Sothoth’s abilities, it was no empty boast that he was the strongest among the Three Great Gods.

Yet even he had places he knew nothing about.

After a brief silence, Izayoi Sakamaki suddenly asked, "Have you ever been there?"

Yog-Sothoth paused. "Where do you mean?"

Izayoi Sakamaki said, "The depths of the Nameless Mist. Legend says Azathoth’s palace is there…"

"That’s impossible!" Yog-Sothoth practically roared. "How could that one be in the depths of the mist? I have seen that palace!"

Izayoi Sakamaki raised a brow. He clearly had not expected such a huge reaction from him.

"If it isn’t there, it isn’t there. Why are you getting angry?"

"Chloe" fell silent for a moment before speaking.

"My apologies. I lost my composure."

"But how can you so casually speak of that one’s palace? You could be hunted down for it."

Do You Remember Love

Izayoi Sakamaki could not help but freeze when he heard that. "What? Is there something wrong with saying it?"

As far as he remembered, this was not the first time he had mentioned that name and the so-called palace to Master Ancient.

But why was the other party so nervous?

The one before him truly was the projected incarnation of that being called "Yog-Sothoth," wasn’t it?

Facing Izayoi Sakamaki’s hesitant gaze, "Chloe" hesitated for a moment.

Only then did she speak in a low voice.

"You seem to be surrounded by some strange Spacetime power."

"That power may also originate from the Nameless Mist."

"That is a domain directly created by that one."

"Perhaps your words will not draw that one’s attention."

"But that may not be the case if I am here…"

Izayoi Sakamaki could not help asking with a frown, "Isn’t this supposedly a dream?"

According to the Outer Gods, every universe was a dream of Azathoth’s.

It was only because this dream was too vast and enduring that countless races and creatures had emerged from it.

"Chloe" gave a bitter smile. "Have you never been awakened by sounds within your own dreams?"

Izayoi Sakamaki recalled that voice which had appeared from nowhere.

The voice that had whispered countless times in his dreams that he could not resist fate.

It was the voice Izayoi Sakamaki despised most.

If he had already found a way to enter the dream world,

Izayoi Sakamaki would have gone in and slapped the speaker to death.

In any case, Izayoi Sakamaki was sick to death of that voice.

He said, "Yes. It would be even better if I could kill whoever owns that voice."

Izayoi Sakamaki had even considered asking this Omniscient and Omnipotent being whether there was a way.

Yet the other party’s expression looked rather strange right now.

"Chloe" said, "That one thinks so too."

Izayoi Sakamaki rolled his eyes.

"Fine, I understand what you mean. I won’t say it anymore."

Only then did "Chloe" let out a breath of relief and nod.

"Where were we just now?"

"Oh, right. The origins of your Chat Group."

Izayoi Sakamaki sighed. "We were talking about whether we should explore the Nameless Mist."

Though he did not know the exact difference between a projection and an avatar,

the real Yog-Sothoth probably would not panic so easily, would he?

Izayoi Sakamaki thought uncertainly.

Yog-Sothoth calmed down before speaking.

"Fine."

"Actually, I believe there is no problem with exploring it."

"Most of the time, it is very stable."

"Or to put it another way, there is nothing inside."

"And no creature that has entered has ever come back out."

Izayoi Sakamaki naturally added, "Except you."

"Chloe" smiled reservedly and nodded. "Except me."

Perhaps the entire Nameless Mist existed for this being.

Perhaps it was precisely because Yog-Sothoth had been born that the Nameless Mist madly devoured other races.

Doing so to give itself a chance to catch its breath.

Of course, that was merely Izayoi Sakamaki’s speculation.

He said softly, "Then, before long, I will bring the group members to pay you a visit. I hope we will not intrude."

"Chloe" nodded as well. "Then, can you tell me something about the Chat Group?"

"Anything is fine. I truly want to know."

Izayoi Sakamaki looked at "Chloe" with a faint, enigmatic smile…

He would not decide that the other party was harmless after only a few friendly exchanges.

She was the incarnation of one of the Three Great Gods.

Izayoi Sakamaki had yet to encounter a truly powerful Outer God.

Thus, he did not know much about Yog-Sothoth’s strength.

But he believed that the other party would certainly be a good opponent.
