Earth Exploded Again

"Boss, we’ve received word from Whitehall. He hopes we’ll transfer control of Daisy to him. His ‘World Destroyer’ project needs Daisy’s participation."

Malick stood respectfully behind Hive and reported on the situation.

Among the vast number of Inhumans, there were quite a few with spatial or speed-based abilities. With the help of these loyal subordinates, Hive had finally, without alerting anyone, stolen Magneto’s slightly decayed corpse from the tombs beneath the Mutant royal palace.

Although the corpse was no longer fresh and the memories Hive obtained were incomplete, they were still more than enough to make Hive a Ninety-Third Heaven.

Now that his own strength had risen, Hive no longer placed as much importance on the development of the Inhumans. However, a powerful kingdom couldn’t be controlled by Hive alone. He still needed a group of loyal subordinates. The Inhumans existed merely to provide Hive with a group of tools for controlling his kingdom.

Daisy’s power was formidable, and Hive had valued her quite highly at first. But now she was no longer as favored. Besides, Hive had complete confidence in his control over the Inhumans and didn’t believe Whitehall could sever the connection between them.

Hive’s control over the Inhumans wasn’t as crude as mere parasitism. Otherwise, in the original television series, it wouldn’t have been countered only by the ability to lash people. If an electric current alone could kill Hive’s parasites, a stun gun would have been enough to deal with all the infected people.

"If he wants her, then let Daisy go report to him. At worst, I’ll have her come back after she’s finished being enhanced. By then, I’ll have gained a powerful warrior for nothing." Hive smiled.

As for promises and credibility, Hydra didn’t care about those things!

Everything came down to profit!

"I understand!" Malick obeyed and turned to relay the order to Daisy.

Hive’s orders were absolute. Although Daisy was unwilling, she still obediently followed the command and went to report to Whitehall.

"Haha… Welcome back, Daisy." Whitehall personally came to the base entrance to greet Daisy’s return.

But Daisy didn’t appreciate his display of goodwill in the slightest. She glared at him furiously.

"Put away that fake expression. The only reason I didn’t snap your neck the moment we met was because of Hive’s orders. But I haven’t forgotten what you did to my mother."

Whitehall’s smile faded slightly, but his expression remained unchanged, still wearing a kindly look.

"Daisy, you may not believe me, but I sincerely welcome you back. Besides, I’ve always liked people who value their relationships." His words carried a deeper meaning.

The more Daisy valued her relationships, the more effective her father Carl would be as a hostage. So Whitehall was telling the truth.

However, Carl was in such a miserable state that Whitehall didn’t dare show him to Daisy, lest complications arise. Once the experiment was complete and Daisy had escaped Hive’s control, he could play the Carl card if she truly decided to turn against him.

Because he lacked information, Whitehall didn’t know how Hive controlled Daisy. But he was certain of one thing: once a puppet became strong enough, any method of control would become ineffective.

"Come on, Daisy. The Gravitonium is ready. This time, we’ll speed up the injection a little."

Whitehall turned and walked inside. Daisy followed closely behind him, her face dark.

The laboratory still contained the familiar instruments and familiar researchers. Without needing the researchers to guide her again, Daisy went straight into the injection machine.

The machine’s door closed and sealed. The instruments powered on, and the Gravitonium was injected.

"Take it to 50% first!" Whitehall ordered the researchers, then immediately turned and left the laboratory.

A gentleman didn’t stand beneath a dangerous wall. If Skye went berserk, there was no reason for a scientist like him to get into a conflict with a lab rat.

Skye once again felt the agony of having Gravitonium injected into her. But she was now a Magnetic Field Rotation: Twentieth Heaven expert. Her physical constitution, spirit, and willpower were countless times stronger than before, so her ability to endure the pain and the whispers in her ears had naturally increased as well.

As she screamed in agony, the aura around her surged rapidly.

She now possessed three abilities: Magnetic Field Rotation, gravity control granted by Gravitonium, and vibration-wave control granted by her Inhuman bloodline. Under the effects of the Gravitonium, these three abilities interacted and promoted one another, all growing at an inconceivable rate.

Soon, the 50% Gravitonium injection was fully completed.

A speaker inside the injection machine switched on, and Whitehall’s voice rang out through it. "Wow, I really underestimated your potential. Daisy, how do you feel? Are you free yet?"

In response to Whitehall’s question, Daisy clutched her head and groaned while cursing loudly. "Fuck you!"

"Tsk! Looks like you’re not free yet. Then continue the injection. This time, take it to 100%!"

The machine began operating at high speed once more. The Gravitonium flowed through the tubes and steadily poured into Daisy’s body again.

Daisy entered enhancement mode once more, rapidly growing stronger through the pain.

But this time, Daisy couldn’t hold out until the end. When the injection reached 88%, she finally lost control and waved her hand. With a boom, the lid of the injection chamber was blown away.

"Ah…" Daisy screamed as she tumbled out of the injection chamber. Clutching her head, she rolled through the air. The maddening whispers in her mind were at least a hundred times stronger than before.

As she screamed and thrashed like a madwoman, every piece of equipment in the laboratory exploded. Parts flew everywhere, sparks burst from the machines, and the gravity throughout the entire base went haywire. People and machines flew about chaotically, while twisted spaces appeared and vanished everywhere. Anyone caught inside one was instantly crushed into a mass of flesh.

Whitehall hurriedly activated the Twin-Headed Armor on his body and took flight.

He was a scientist, not a warrior. There was no need for him to stay and fight the experimental subject.

"That voice just now was Daisy! Right? It was Daisy!" Carl’s head screamed, trying to twist around to look, but his head was fixed in place and simply couldn’t do that.

"That’s right, it was Daisy. She isn’t in very good shape right now. Once she breaks free of Hive’s control, I’ll arrange for you two to meet." Whitehall casually placated Carl before checking Daisy’s various readings in real time through the laboratory’s monitoring equipment.

Daisy rolled and screamed in midair. As the Gravitonium transformed her, her Magnetic Field Rotation Realm had already successfully reached Fifty Heavens, and her vibration-wave ability had also been greatly enhanced.

Under the combined effects of these three abilities, Hive’s control over her finally failed.

And as Daisy regained her freedom, everything she had done before resurfaced in her mind.

I… killed the father who loved and cherished me most with my own hands!!!

A piercing agony instantly overwhelmed every other discomfort in her body.

Back when she was at Twenty Heavens, Daisy had already been able to read minds. She could therefore completely sense how pure, selfless, and all-consuming her father’s love for her was. Even after she had gravely injured him, Carl had felt no resentment toward her. Instead, he had been more worried that she would be harmed after Hive took her away.

At the time, her body had been controlled by Hive. Although she had felt pain, the will to serve Hive had suppressed it, and she hadn’t felt that anything she was doing was wrong.

But now that she had returned to normal, all the emotions that had been suppressed burst out like a flood, instantly drowning her reason.

"Ah…"

Daisy let out a miserable howl, unconsciously venting her power.

She was now a Magnetic Field Warrior, a Graviton Warrior, and an ability warrior all in one. The power she unleashed was enough to destroy heaven and earth.

As she released that power unconsciously, it destroyed the sky, tore the earth apart, and Earth… exploded again!
