Elf Feather, Elf Queen

Su Yu and Mao Jiu appeared in a forest, then the two of them headed toward the wooden cabin.

However, the wooden cabin had now become a mysterious place of the Elf Race, so guards had always been stationed outside.

Tall walls had been built around the wooden cabin, with only a single entrance guarded by a hundred female elves. When Mao Jiu saw the wall towering more than twenty meters high ahead of them, she immediately became unhappy. Such a tall wall blocked out the sun.

The two arrived at the entrance, and the elves immediately looked at Su Yu warily. One of them shouted, "Who are you? This isn’t a place you should be. Leave at once!"

Life Star was home to more than just elves; there were all kinds of other races as well, including humans. They were not native to the planet, but had come from other planets in the Xuantian Star System. Life Star was like a major city on Earth. Although its technology was not particularly advanced, many people still wanted to come here.

That was why they were not surprised to see Su Yu and Mao Jiu. They merely took them for humans who had come to live on Life Star.

Su Yu looked at the elves. Each of them had a pure white feather tied around her head, while the one who had shouted had two. Without even counting, Su Yu knew those feathers had to be symbols used to distinguish status and strength.

"Hey, could you tell me what the feathers on your heads represent?" Su Yu asked as he looked at them.

The two-feathered elf looked at Su Yu and suddenly understood. "You must have just arrived on Life Star, if you don’t even know about Elf Feather. Since you probably came here without knowing this place was forbidden, I’ll let you off this time. Leave quickly."

Su Yu smiled. "Little girl, you still haven’t answered my question."

"Who are you calling little girl?! I’m already eighty years old!" the two-feathered elf said angrily.

"So that’s equivalent to sixteen years old for a human. Mm, calling you little girl is perfectly appropriate," Su Yu said with a smile.

Elves generally lived for five hundred years, so that two-feathered elf was equivalent to a sixteen-year-old human.

"You! Leave this place immediately! This is forbidden ground. No one is allowed to come here!" the two-feathered elf said.

Su Yu smiled and shook his head. Then he looked at a somewhat absent-minded-looking elf beside her and asked, "Could you tell me what your feathers mean?"

"Ah, oh. Elf Feather is the symbol of our Elf Race. Every ordinary elf has one, while elves with Life Force can have several. Soldier-level Elves have two, General-level Elves have three, and King-level Elves have four," the elf hurriedly explained in one breath.

Life Force was like the spiritual power used by cultivators. Just as not every human was suited to cultivation, not every elf was suited to it either, so not every elf possessed Life Force. Once an elf gained Life Force, her status within the Elf Race became vastly different.

The Soldier-level Elf looked at her and said, "Yiran, why do you answer everything he asks?"

The elf called Meng Yiran said quietly, "Sister Xiaoyu, Mother said that when others encounter difficulties, we should help them."

Sun Xiaoyu looked at Su Yu. "Why haven’t you left yet?"

"This is our home, so why should we leave? And why did you build such a tall wall? The sunlight can’t even reach the wooden cabin anymore," Mao Jiu said angrily.

This little wooden cabin held great meaning for Mao Jiu.

Sun Xiaoyu looked at Su Yu and Mao Jiu with a strange expression. "Did something traumatize you? This mysterious place has existed for tens of thousands of years. How could it possibly be your home?"

Mao Jiu was too angry to speak. She grabbed Su Yu and headed inside. Su Yu smiled and could only follow her. He knew Mao Jiu was genuinely upset. What had once been a beautiful wooden cabin had been turned into something like a prison, surrounded by such high walls.

"Stop! You are not allowed to enter!" Sun Xiaoyu’s expression immediately turned stern as she shouted.

Then every elf raised the bow in her hands and aimed it at Su Yu and Mao Jiu.

Mao Jiu ignored them and continued walking inside. Sun Xiaoyu snorted coldly. "Do you really think we don’t dare shoot you? Fire!"

As Sun Xiaoyu’s voice fell, a rain of arrows shot toward Su Yu and Mao Jiu.

Su Yu slightly raised his other hand, and all the arrows in the air stopped midflight. Sun Xiaoyu and the others were utterly stunned. What was going on?

Su Yu smiled. "Go back and tell your Elf Queen that she no longer needs to send anyone here. The owners of this place have returned."

After saying that, Su Yu and Mao Jiu walked straight past everyone and entered the walls. Su Yu snapped his fingers, and the walls instantly began turning to ashes.

Then, right before the eyes of Sun Xiaoyu, Meng Yiran, and the other elves, the two entered the barrier.

One elf looked at Sun Xiaoyu. "Xiaoyu, what do we do now?"

Sun Xiaoyu watched Su Yu and Mao Jiu’s figures and sighed. "Let’s go back. We’ll report this matter to the queen first, then let her decide what to do."

Everyone nodded, packed up their things, and left.

The wooden cabin had not been cleaned in over twenty thousand years and was covered in dust. If Su Yu had not created it, it would probably have collapsed long ago.

Su Yu quickly restored the little wooden cabin to how it had looked more than twenty thousand years ago. Then the two took a walk to the stream from back then.

Su Yu smiled. "Since we’re here, shall we catch some fish?"

Mao Jiu nodded in enthusiastic agreement. "This time, I’ll definitely grill one that isn’t burnt!"

"Haha, is that all you want?" Su Yu asked with a smile.

"Mhm."

The two soon went into the water to catch fish. They did not catch many—just one each. After lighting a fire, they began grilling them.

Before the fish had even finished cooking, an elf dressed in a green gown arrived by the stream. She looked like a refined young lady, with four feathers tied around her head. Sun Xiaoyu and Meng Yiran followed beside her.

The woman came before Su Yu and Mao Jiu and gave a slight bow. "Senior, I am the queen of the Life Elves. May I ask who you are?"

As he grilled the fish, Su Yu said, "Su Yu, Main God of the Xuantian Star System. Whether you believe it or not is up to you."

The Elf Queen’s body trembled slightly upon hearing Su Yu’s words. Then she said respectfully, "Of course I believe you. Our Elf Race was born twenty-five thousand years ago, and this wooden cabin had already existed then. This cabin is enough to prove your identity, Senior."

Su Yu smiled. "Did you come to see me because you need something, or were you simply curious about me and came to take a look?"
