Error404

Just as Lu Su and the two Demons were locked in a stalemate, Tianwang Baixiaosheng’s true body stood within an underground space that emitted a faint, continuous hum.

If someone looked down from above at that moment, they would discover that the entire underground space was filled with giant servers.

Densely packed information indicators flashed ceaselessly throughout the underground space.

Bai Xiaosheng, dressed like a scholar, stood before an enormous light screen and could not help muttering, "Let me see where your confidence comes from."

The massive light screen before him was divided into numerous smaller sections, each displaying a different scene.

This was the Martial Arts Armament he used to spy on and monitor the entire world.

Although the Martial Arts Armament had completely changed in appearance with that side’s help, its essence remained no different.

At that moment, the screen before Bai Xiaosheng displayed everything happening at the Secret Realm Entrance.

With a slight thought, the screen instantly zoomed in on Lu Su and his cards.

Just as he had said before, when it came to combat strength, he might not rank among the very best in the martial world.

But when it came to gathering intelligence, even if everyone in the entire martial world were put together, they might not surpass him.

Soon, complex streams of data continuously flashed across the screen.

Looking at the information on the screen, Bai Xiaosheng felt a trace of confusion. "Does it need to analyze for this long?"

Even analyzing someone at Liu Wenyi’s level, one of the world’s absolute strongest, had never taken this long before.

"Tsk."

Bai Xiaosheng could not help curling his lip. Then, an eerie blue light instantly spread from where he stood throughout the entire underground space.

The next moment, the data stream on the screen before him suddenly froze. It was followed by a blinding scarlet glow and alarms that filled the entire underground space.

"EError404?!"

Bai Xiaosheng stared dumbfoundedly at the words on the screen.

Faced with the sudden turn of events, he quickly remembered that when that side had handed it over, they seemed to have mentioned that when encountering certain existences, the Tianwang system would be unable to complete its reconnaissance due to the limits of its own capabilities, resulting in this kind of error message.

It was just that he had never encountered such a situation and had long since put the matter out of mind.

Seeing this, the scholar gritted his teeth. "I refuse to believe it!"

"Is there really anything in this world I can’t see?!"

As mentioned before, although Bai Xiaosheng’s combat strength lagged far behind other existences of the same level, in exchange, he possessed unmatched intelligence-gathering abilities.

And the reason these things could still be called Martial Arts Armaments was naturally because…

They were powered by the wielder’s Internal Force.

In other words, brute force could indeed overcome technical limitations.

As Bai Xiaosheng’s face flushed red, the eerie blue energy that had covered the entire underground space immediately began to surge.

The blaring alarms abruptly stopped, and the error message on the screen vanished as well.

The data began flowing again.

"I-I knew it."

Bai Xiaosheng looked utterly drained as he stared at the screen before him, unable to suppress a smug smile.

But that smile soon turned blank.

Name: ???Holy Sword Blade Driver
Abilities: ???
*&%¥

This was all the information Bai Xiaosheng had uncovered about Lu Su. Other than a name, he could be said to know nothing at all.

Even the name was incomplete.

The key was that the scholar had only investigated the Holy Blade Armor on Lu Su. He still knew nothing whatsoever about the Youth’s true body.

".?" Seeing this, Bai Xiaosheng felt a faint sense of unease. "Maybe it’s just an isolated case. Let’s look at the others first."

He comforted himself like that, then checked the information on the figure who had fought Liu Wenyi a few days ago.

Name: No. 4 · Ulquiorra Cifer
Abilities: Cero, Resurrección

Perhaps because he had previously observed Ulquiorra’s battle with Liu Wenyi from the shadows, the information Bai Xiaosheng identified this time was slightly more detailed.

Yet his expression remained grim.

Because this was very wrong. Under normal circumstances, the intelligence should not have been so bare-bones. In the end, aside from a name, the Black-and-White Figure’s profile offered no useful information.

"Didn’t I still fail to uncover anything?"

The sense of unease in his heart grew stronger and stronger, but at this point, Bai Xiaosheng could only force himself to continue.

Name: King of Knights??
Abilities: Mana Burst, ?? Release, ????
Name: The Unprecedented Great Villain · Unohana Yachiru
Abilities: Kido: ., Zanpakuto Release: .

The good news was that he had uncovered something.

The bad news was that out of the two, he had only uncovered information on one.

Swallowing hard, Bai Xiaosheng skipped over the Blonde Girl, whose details had yielded practically nothing, and began carefully examining the black-haired woman’s information.

"What does it mean, dragging an opponent into a world of blood to fight to the death??"

The scholar looked utterly bewildered at the ability description for the Zanpakuto Release displayed on the screen.

Although they had experienced one or two worlds after joining that lord’s faction, to be honest, those worlds had all been very weak.

It had once made Bai Xiaosheng think that this world was just as easily crushed as the previous ones. After all, the team the other side had sent to gather intelligence had suffered a crushing defeat some time ago.

But now, it seemed that was not the case?

"If that’s true, then wouldn’t that mean…"

He suddenly thought of something that sent chills down his spine.

Unfortunately…

It was already too late.

At the Secret Realm Entrance, Wormhole Ghost Sparrow watched the blade-wielding woman with a cold gaze.

Though the other party put immense pressure on him, what job like theirs was ever easy?

"I never expected to encounter an old-school swordsman like you in my lifetime."

A hoarse voice came from his mouth.

Ever since he could remember, martial artists who did not use Martial Arts Armaments had essentially vanished.

However, Unohana Retsu had no interest in responding. She simply used Flash Step and vanished from where she stood.

"Clang!"

The long blade and short dagger collided, sending fierce sparks flying in an instant.

But Wormhole Ghost Sparrow knew well that reach was an advantage. As an assassin, clashing head-on with a swordsman put him at far too great a disadvantage.

A trace of indifference flashed through his eyes. The force in his hand loosened, allowing the black-haired woman’s long blade to fall.

Yet the next moment, Unohana Retsu halted her movement and turned toward Lu Su.

Behind her, Wormhole Ghost Sparrow had already disappeared.

An assassin only needs to kill the target. I have no interest in playing dueling games with you.

That thought flashed through the tight-suited assassin’s mind. Looking at the target who was already dealing with the Buddha Light, he coldly thrust out the short dagger in his hand.

Regarding those assassins who claimed that killing all witnesses counted as an assassination, Wormhole Ghost Sparrow only wanted to curse, "You things have no assassin’s soul!"

Of course, Lu Su could sense the threat coming from behind him. Although the bald monk’s Buddha Light was somewhat irritating, it had not actually affected him much.

He took the bait.

With that thought, Lu Su abruptly turned and swung the Flame Sword behind him, its blade carrying scorching flames.

At the sight, Wormhole Ghost Sparrow’s pupils constricted. He had never imagined that the other party would be unaffected by the Nano Buddha Light.

He instinctively switched his short dagger from a thrusting position to a guard, but he was still swallowed by the surging flames.

"Boom!"

In the span of a breath, a ravine covered in lava appeared before Lu Su.

But the youth felt no joy, because he had not felt like he had struck anything solid just now.

"Tsk, space-type abilities are too troublesome."

"No wonder the Demon Army specifically developed the Binding Barrier."

Lu Su now somewhat understood how those people in Donglai had felt when facing Little Spider and Frieren beneath Lu Xi’s disguises.

Thinking of this, he said to Unohana Retsu, who had already appeared beside him, "Sister Lie, I’ll leave that flea to you."

Hearing this, the cold-faced black-haired woman gave a slight nod.

Meanwhile, Wormhole Ghost Sparrow hid behind a tree far from Lu Su, silently staring at the sleeves that had been burned away from his arms.

"Whoosh!"

Hearing the wind howling past his ears, he vanished from his spot once more. Immediately after, large swathes of trees were cut in half by the roaring Sword Pressure.

But when he reappeared, he found Unohana Retsu’s utterly emotionless eyes quietly watching him.

Then, under his puzzled gaze, the black-haired woman placed her left hand upon the Sword Body held horizontally before her.

"Bankai · Kyōten’shō."

As Unohana Retsu’s left hand slid toward the end of the sword, endless blood suddenly overflowed from the Sword Body.

Wormhole Ghost Sparrow could not help feeling dazed at the sight. But when he came to his senses, he realized that his surroundings had completely changed.

The target and the Nano Vajra, who should have been there, had vanished without a trace.

His brow furrowed as he immediately tried to use his ability to leave.

"Hmm?"

But he soon looked at the woman in the distance with astonishment.

His ability had failed. Although he could still teleport, there was now a limit: he could only move within this dim world of blood.

Wormhole Ghost Sparrow had never expected the other party to possess an ability so specifically tailored against him. As things stood, it seemed that this assassin had only one path left: deal with that woman before him.

With that thought, he half-closed his eyes, then tore off the tight suit covering his upper body.

"Come on. Round two."

At that moment, Unohana Retsu watched the blue fluid that occasionally flowed beneath the exposed skin of his upper body, and a rare flicker of emotion appeared on her face.

"This is finally getting interesting."

If the wood of a wooden boat were gradually replaced until none of it was the original wood, would it still be the same boat?

Wormhole Ghost Sparrow’s answer was…

He was still human, even though after undergoing that side’s surgery, he had replaced most of his body with more useful prosthetics.

He shifted slightly aside to evade the incoming Blood Blade, and several pale-blue neural patterns emerged across his face.

Then, the once silent world of blood suddenly erupted with the fierce sounds of battle.
