Everything for Peace

After burying her brother, Shuri donned the White Panther Armor and escorted her parents out of Wakanda.

Throughout the retreat, she remained tense, constantly feeling that Erik would come after them and silence them the moment they left Wakandan territory. She had also prepared herself to return to Wakanda at any time and take everyone there hostage with their lives.

Unexpectedly, however, they left Wakanda without incident. They even boarded a plane bound for New York, far from Africa, without seeing any sign of Erik.

Even so, she did not let down her guard in the slightest. She did not take a passenger flight, but instead flew alongside the plane in the White Panther Armor, ready to fight at any moment.

It was not until they landed in New York that Shuri’s tension finally eased.

Although they had been forced to flee, they were not short of wealth. They had enough to live comfortably for the rest of their lives. But neither T’Chaka and Ramonda nor Shuri herself was willing to live on in such a miserable state.

They wanted revenge!

They wanted to rescue Wakanda and their African brothers and sisters from Erik’s clutches!

T’Chaka and Ramonda decided to seek instruction at the Martial Arts School, while Shuri continued to develop the Vibranium Magnetic Armor. Once T’Chaka reached the Magnetic Field Rotation Realm, he could wear Shuri’s White Panther Armor and return for revenge.

However, before they could even begin carrying out their plan, someone knocked on the door of their home.

"King T’Chaka, perhaps I have a way to help you reclaim your throne!"

T’Chaka and the others exchanged glances, then each put on their armor. Shuri opened the door warily. Standing outside was an elegant German man.

"You may call me Baron Strucker. I have come on behalf of Hydra!" the visitor introduced himself with a smile.

"Hydra? Wasn’t that organization destroyed already?" T’Chaka frowned.

"Obviously, it wasn’t." Baron Strucker smiled. "Won’t you invite me in for a seat? Or do the Wakandans, who have always lived in seclusion, also harbor prejudice against us?"

"No, I have no prejudice against the Third Reich, but I have no goodwill whatsoever toward an evil organization like Hydra!" T’Chaka did not hold back in the slightest.

"An evil organization?" Baron Strucker smiled faintly. "Hydra has existed for thousands of years, perhaps even longer than Wakanda. Where does this claim of evil come from?"

"Thousands of years?" T’Chaka was stunned. Clearly, he knew nothing about this information.

"If King T’Chaka is willing to listen, we can sit down and have a cup of coffee while I explain everything in detail," Baron Strucker said with impeccable manners and an elegant bearing. He looked nothing like a bad person.

T’Chaka hesitated for a moment, then beckoned to Shuri. "Please come in and have a seat."

Shuri stepped aside, and Baron Strucker smiled faintly before entering calmly. He took out a bottle of red wine from behind him.

"This is my first visit, and it was rather sudden, so I didn’t prepare any particularly fine gift. This is wine from Bordeaux Winery. It isn’t aged wine, just last year’s vintage. However, Bordeaux Winery was destroyed some time ago, and it is hard to say whether it can be rebuilt. So this wine may well become rarer with every bottle. I hope you enjoy it."

Ramonda reached out to accept it, thanked him, and carried the wine away, placing it casually in the kitchen.

Baron Strucker sat across from T’Chaka and began explaining Hydra’s "history."

"Hydra can be traced back to Ancient Egypt. At that time, Hydra was a purely Inhuman organization. King T’Chaka, do you know what Inhumans are? They are beings similar to Mutants, except that they are completely different from Mutants."

"Tastes really good!" He accepted the coffee Ramonda handed him, took a sip, and praised it softly before continuing to make things up.

"After a long period of evolution, however, most Hydra members became ordinary humans. Hydra also developed many branches, the most famous being the branch managed by Red Skull during the Third Reich."

He looked intently at T’Chaka and said frankly, "But King T’Chaka, you must believe me when I say that Hydra was not an organization subordinate to the Third Reich. Of course, it is not an evil organization either."

"These are only your claims. I have no way to distinguish truth from falsehood in what you are saying." T’Chaka remained extremely cautious.

"King T’Chaka, why not hear my proposal for cooperation first? If you find that our side is doing anything evil, you may withdraw unilaterally at any time." Baron Strucker made the suggestion with great generosity.

After pondering for a long while, T’Chaka flatly refused. "I’m very sorry, but I cannot trust an organization that operates in the darkness. Besides, I don’t believe pies fall from the sky. And if one does, there must be poison in it."

"Is that so? What a pity." Baron Strucker drained the coffee in his cup, then rose and took his leave.

Over the next few days, the group remained tense for a while, but Hydra never came to retaliate or silence them. Eventually, they relaxed.

The group carried on according to their original plan. They were busy every day, but their lives were quite fulfilling.

That evening, after dinner, the three of them went about their respective tasks—training and research—when the doorbell suddenly rang.

Shuri opened the door. Standing outside was a tall, imposing white man. From his muscular build alone, it was obvious that he had trained in Ultimate Limit Qigong.

"Does Junior Brother T’Chaka live here? I’m Grant Ward. I’m here on behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D. this time. There is something I would like to discuss with him."

Shuri invited him inside. After some small talk, they sat down.

"King T’Chaka, in fact, S.H.I.E.L.D. knew the moment you entered the Martial Arts School. But because of what happened in Washington, we’ve been overwhelmed with work these past few days. That’s why we’ve only come to meet you today. Please forgive us."

"Understandable. In truth, I’m no longer a king. At best, I’m a former king in exile." T’Chaka’s expression remained indifferent, and he paid no attention to the flattering title.

"All right, then I’ll call you Junior Brother. It feels more cordial that way." Grant readily went along with him and immediately changed how he addressed him.

"Junior Brother, have you heard of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Avengers?"

"I’ve heard a little about them."

"S.H.I.E.L.D. intends to invite Junior Brother to join the Avengers and work together for world peace."

T’Chaka frowned and was about to refuse.

He had been king for many years, so he naturally knew what the so-called Avengers were: nothing more than elite thugs, merely operating under the banner of world peace.

Seeing his expression, Grant immediately guessed what he was thinking and said, "In S.H.I.E.L.D.’s view, the greatest threats to peace in the world today are, first, Magneto, and second, the Tyrant Martial God."

The moment T’Chaka heard the name Tyrant Martial God, his breathing quickened and his eyes became bloodshot.

Grant continued to tempt him. "Shuri needs a great deal of equipment for her research, and S.H.I.E.L.D. can provide it. S.H.I.E.L.D. also has many brilliant researchers who can help Shuri achieve better results."

T’Chaka took a deep breath. "What do I have to give in return?"

"Nothing at all! We are all working for the cause of justice. Everything is for the peace of Earth. One Magneto has already caused such a massive catastrophe. We cannot allow a second Magneto to appear!"

"All right. I agree to join the Avengers, in the name of Black Panther."

A smile spread across Grant’s face. He stood and extended his hand. "Welcome Black Panther to the Avengers."
