Su Yu had arrived at Yun Mountain early in the morning to hike alone, then spent the entire day at the summit.

On his way down that afternoon, a torrential downpour arrived without warning. It caught Su Yu completely off guard, soaking him to the bone. Worse still, the soil around him had begun to loosen.

Without another word, Su Yu immediately started running. Only by leaving this place as quickly as possible could he be safe. With rain this heavy, he knew there was a high chance of a landslide.

Su Yu raced frantically down the mountain path alone. The sky around him had turned pitch-black, and the sounds of rocks tumbling and earth shifting scared him into breaking out in a cold sweat.

His cold sweat mingled with the rainwater on his body, barely allowing him to remain calm.

Unfortunately, calmness alone could not save him in this situation. Su Yu soon reached the base of a slope, a place he had to pass through to get down the mountain.

Su Yu stood where he was and stared at the slope. It seemed ready to collapse at any moment. Yet he could not simply stay put either. Gritting his teeth, Su Yu charged forward.

Just as Su Yu reached the middle of the path, a tremendous boom rang out. Rocks began rolling down the slope, and the earth slowly started to surge.

Su Yu’s face turned pale with fright. He could no longer escape. A trace of bleakness rose in his heart, and he gave a bitter smile. "I’ve lived such a pathetic life. If I die, then I die. Nobody cares anyway…"

In despair, Su Yu simply closed his eyes and waited for death. After a long while, he grew confused. Why was he still all right?

Su Yu opened his eyes and immediately saw a huge face before him. Startled, he hurriedly backed away several steps and shouted, "Holy shit, what the hell is that?"

A white-haired old man stood before Su Yu, smiling at him. He gave Su Yu quite a scare. Su Yu looked around and realized that he was no longer on Yun Mountain.

Everything around him was a chaotic expanse. Twinkling stars hung above his head and beneath his feet, making Su Yu feel as though he were standing in outer space. Yet unlike outer space, this place had oxygen and what seemed to be solid ground.

"Hello, young man. I am the Void Dominator. You may call me Void," the white-haired old man said with a smile.

For some reason, seeing the old man’s smiling face gave Su Yu the creeps.

Su Yu looked around, then said to the Void Dominator, "Damn, old man, who are you? Where is this? And am I dead or not?"

The Void Dominator suddenly floated into the air and drifted before Su Yu. He answered, "I told you already, I am the Void Dominator. This is my Void Realm, my world. And you are not dead. Your original fate was to be buried alive and suffocate to death in the landslide. I saved you."

Su Yu looked at the Void Dominator and asked, "Why did you save me?"

The Void Dominator waved his sleeve. "Fate under heaven had long been decided. Disaster is approaching, and a Dominator must stand ready!"

Su Yu frowned deeply, then said, "Speak plainly."

The Void Dominator rolled his eyes at Su Yu. "The signs of heaven show that disaster is about to strike. Dominators are needed to protect the entire world."

Su Yu said speechlessly, "What does that have to do with saving me?"

With his hands behind his back, the Void Dominator sighed. "When chaos first opened, heaven and earth gave birth to four great Dominators: Void, Space-Time, Reincarnation, and Myriad Realms. But one epoch ago, the Myriad Realms Dominator died in battle during a disaster. Thus, from that point onward, one of the four great Dominators was missing."

"Disaster is coming again. This catastrophic disaster occurs once every epoch. The three of us alone cannot withstand it, so we need you."

Su Yu asked curiously, "Why did you choose me?"

The Void Dominator pointed at the sky with his right hand. "The signs of heaven indicate that you are the most suitable person to become the Myriad Realms Dominator. You are far too weak right now and have no combat experience at all. I can grant you three wishes. State them."

Su Yu’s eyes rolled as he smiled. "You can really grant three wishes?"

The Void Dominator nodded slightly. "Of course. Our only requirement is that you join us in resisting the disaster in the future."

Su Yu said happily, "All right! Then it’s a deal. I have nothing tying me down in this life, and I’ve lived like a complete nobody. Saving the world is such a good thing—I’m in!"

Upon hearing Su Yu agree, the Void Dominator immediately smiled. "Good! It’s a deal, then. Now state your wishes."

Su Yu nodded. "My first wish is, of course, to be invincible. How the hell am I supposed to save the world if I’m not invincible?"

The Void Dominator said with a smile, "Of course. I was already planning to give you the Divine Core of the Myriad Realms Dominator. Once you accept the Divine Core, your strength will be practically invincible!"

Su Yu continued excitedly, "My second wish is to travel through the myriad realms. Whenever I used to read novels about the myriad realms, I was really envious!"

The Void Dominator burst into laughter. "Kid, your first two wishes really are a waste! I have to give you the Divine Core of the Myriad Realms Dominator anyway. And why do you think the Myriad Realms Dominator is called the Myriad Realms Dominator?"

Of course Su Yu understood. The Myriad Realms Dominator could naturally travel through the myriad realms. But he did not care and continued, "It’s fine. A waste is a waste. My third wish is for Thanos’s Infinity Gauntlet from Marvel!"

With a wave of the Void Dominator’s hand, a purple cubic crystal and the Infinity Gauntlet appeared in his hand. The Void Dominator looked at Su Yu and said, "Your wishes shall now be granted!"

As he spoke, the purple cubic crystal in the Void Dominator’s hand flew out and came to hover above Su Yu’s head, while the Infinity Gauntlet automatically slipped onto Su Yu’s hand.

The crystal began emitting a dazzling purple glow. The light grew brighter and brighter until Su Yu could not help closing his eyes.

Once the crystal’s radiance reached a certain intensity, it shot into Su Yu’s body. Su Yu immediately felt a force rampaging through him, making him cry out, "Ah—"

Su Yu clutched his chest. Soon, pain left him drenched in sweat, and he no longer had the strength to support himself. He dropped to one knee.

After an unknown amount of time, Su Yu finally felt the discomfort in his body gradually fade. His strength slowly returned, and he felt as though he had been completely reborn.

Su Yu slowly stood up, clenched his fist, and threw a punch forward.

Boom!

A sonic boom rang out. The Void Dominator became so furious that his beard bristled, and he shouted, "You brat, are you trying to collapse my Void Realm?!"

Su Yu chuckled. "Old man, I didn’t mean to. Am I the Myriad Realms Dominator now?"

The Void Dominator nodded. "You should be able to sense the power within your body. Since you’re still a kid who knows nothing, I placed an elf inside your Divine Core. Her name is Ya Er. Ya Er knows astronomy above and geography below. She knows ninety percent of the matters within the myriad realms. If there is anything you do not understand in the future, just ask her."
