Female Hacker Skye (2nd update)
After undergoing rebirth and bone remolding, a normal cultivator’s body would return to its youngest and healthiest state.
Take Li Yingqi, who was over two hundred years old—his appearance had remained that of an eighteen- or nineteen-year-old all along.
Of course, this was not fixed.
Once cultivators reached the Core Formation stage, they could adjust their outward physical age according to their own wishes.
Most female cultivators maintained the appearance they had in their youth, while most male cultivators chose the more mature appearance they had in their thirties.
There were also those with special preferences. Some liked to take on the appearance of children, teenagers, middle-aged people, and so on.
As for the heads of sects, in order to appear more imposing, most chose to present themselves with the appearance of elderly people, such as Li Qingfeng’s master Daoist Qingzhu, True Person Bai Mei of Emei, and Master Zunsheng of Mount Wutai.
Compared to Asian women, Western women matured earlier. Generally, European women at fifteen or sixteen already resembled Asian women at eighteen or nineteen.
After twenty, they began to decline, after thirty they aged rapidly, and after forty, their aging became especially obvious.
Wanda was twenty-one this year. Although she was still at the peak of her beauty, she still had worries about age and appearance.
In particular, she feared that if she was no longer beautiful, would her husband stop loving her? Would he start liking younger, prettier women? Those were the kinds of thoughts wives often had.
After all, Li Chuan was so rich, so handsome, so outstanding, and so powerful. What kind of girl could he not find?
That was why she had been so happy upon seeing herself become the youthful and beautiful sixteen-year-old version of herself again.
"Thankfully, this part didn’t change back."
After being excited for a while, she suddenly thought of something. She lowered her head to check, then let out a huge sigh of relief.
Throwing the mirror back onto the vanity, Wanda leaped hard and pounced on Li Chuan.
"I feel great now. Let’s continue!"
"No. This is only the beginning. We can’t do it too often, or it’ll harm your body."
Li Chuan caught Wanda, grabbed her by her nightgown, and set her aside.
Wanda was not a cultivator, after all. Her body was only that of an ordinary person. Even with the dual cultivation method, it could not be used too frequently.
At present, once a day was the limit. Otherwise, the excess nourishment would instead damage her body.
Thus, life returned to peace once more.
Since Li Chuan’s Shadow Clones could now last for an entire day as long as their Chakra was not exhausted, his two thousand Shadow Clones had clearly divided their tasks.
Some refined small flying swords in the wardrobe space, some studied and practiced spells, magic, and ninjutsu, while others scattered to complete all the refreshed simple side quests and earn Minor World time.
As for his main body, aside from meditating to cultivate True Essence, his days consisted of three meals.
This continued for roughly two months before it was interrupted by an incident.
"Boss, we found someone suspicious near the residential complex. Should we capture them and interrogate them?"
Li Chuan, who was watching a sitcom with Wanda in the living room, heard Li San’s report through the communicator and asked casually:
"What makes them suspicious?"
"We discovered a van that has been parked near the complex for two consecutive days. And every time Madam leaves the complex, the van flashes its lights. They should be taking pictures."
Li San explained what they had observed over the past few days.
After thinking for a moment, Li Chuan replied:
"Secretly capture the people in the van and find out who they are."
Aside from S.H.I.E.L.D., Hydra, and relevant government departments, ordinary people did not know his and Wanda’s identities, nor did they know that he lived in this residential complex.
So the person secretly photographing Wanda was most likely not an ordinary reporter or anything like that.
Had some strange organization set its sights on him again?
There were countless organizations of all sizes in the Marvel World. Aside from the most famous ones, S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, there were also the Hand, the Defenders, the Rising Tide Organization, and so on.
But none of them amounted to anything in his eyes now. Once he found out who they were, he would warn them first. If they refused to listen, he would simply wipe them out.
"Yes, Boss."
About ten minutes later, Li San called again to report:
"The owner of the van is a woman around twenty years old named Skye. She’s a hacker. Because she hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s system, she learned your address. She says she’s your fan and wants to meet you."
Skye. The name sounded somewhat familiar—a hacker capable of breaking into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s systems.
Li Chuan thought for a moment and immediately remembered someone.
If he remembered correctly, there was an Inhuman named Daisy Johnson. Before changing her name, she seemed to have been called Skye, and she was also a hacker.
"Alright, I understand. I’ll be there right away."
After hanging up, Li Chuan informed Wanda. Just as he was about to Apparate over, a new side quest suddenly appeared on the panel.
Side Quest: Prevent the Inhumans from launching a war against humanity.
Reward: One year of Minor World time. The moment he saw the side quest, his eyes lit up.
After farming side quests with his Shadow Clones for two months, he had only accumulated half a year of Minor World time. This quest gave him a full year at once, making it quite a pleasant surprise.
The Inhumans were a race created fourteen hundred years ago, when the Kree came to Earth and captured humans for experimentation.
The Kree Empire, one of the most powerful civilizations in the universe, had once sent scientists everywhere to conduct biological research and experiments in hopes of creating powerful bio-warriors that could give them an advantage in interstellar wars.
One such group arrived on Earth fourteen hundred years ago and experimented on a Maya man. Thus, the first Inhuman was born: Hive, who was also the origin of Hydra.
Later, after the Kree Empire halted the experiments and Hive led the altered Inhumans in rebellion, those Kree scientists boarded their spacecraft and returned to the Kree Empire.
The altered Inhumans left on Earth feared Hive’s ability to freely control the minds of other Inhumans, so they joined forces and used the technology left behind by the Kree to exile him to a planet far from Earth.
The humans who worshipped Hive, meanwhile, regarded him as their totem of faith and founded the earliest Hydra organization.
Thus, Hydra had only one goal over the past thousand years: to rescue Hive, the object of their faith, and unify the entire Earth under his leadership.
After Hive was exiled, the Inhumans altered by the Kree all hid their identities, intermarried with ordinary humans, and reproduced. Gradually, they vanished from the public eye.
However, according to the plot, over the past century or so, Skye’s mother, Jiaying, seemed to have used the Terrigen Crystals left behind by the Kree to continuously awaken the superpowers of Inhuman descendants, intending to exterminate humanity and leave only Inhumans on Earth.
