Five Years Gone By, So Wronged

Five years later.

On the grounds of Peach Blossom Island Manor, nine-year-old Su Yu lay on a rooftop, basking in the sun with a blade of grass between his lips. His little legs swung back and forth, and he looked utterly carefree.

Suddenly, a faint sound reached him. A smile curled at Su Yu’s lips. Then, an extremely adorable little girl in a yellow dress appeared behind him, sneaking up quietly.

Su Yu pretended not to notice her and continued sunbathing. The little girl was Huang Rong. She slowly approached Su Yu, then pounced straight at him.

Su Yu was so startled that he immediately turned and caught Huang Rong. He had originally intended to jump down the moment she reached out to touch him, but he had not expected Huang Rong to play by no rules at all.

"You little brat, are you nuts? This is a rooftop! What if you fell?" Su Yu said, rapping Huang Rong on the forehead.

Huang Rong winced in pain and grew angry. Pouting, she glared at Su Yu with her big eyes. "It’s all stupid Brother’s fault. I can never catch you, so I had no choice but to pounce on you."

As she spoke, Huang Rong’s expression instantly changed. She revealed a sly smile. "Because I knew stupid Brother would definitely catch me and wouldn’t run away."

Su Yu smiled helplessly and ruffled Huang Rong’s hair until it was a complete mess. "You little brat, can’t you learn from Xiao Rou Er? Would it kill you to settle down? Oh, right.
