Fusion Strike Detected En Route

Who would have thought that the Right Consort, who had accompanied me through countless days and nights, would end up with not even a whole corpse left? Truly tragic and lamentable.

"This was a necessary price." After once again mourning his departed right hand, Evenson said to Thor, "The power I used just now had long surpassed my own abilities. It wasn’t something I could use whenever I wanted."

Everyone nodded. Evenson had slaughtered his way through the battlefield just now, turning the tide with a single spell. If the price was only one right hand… it seemed a little too light. At the very least, it should have included his left hand too.

"But it’s still within acceptable limits." Evenson slumped onto the ground, pushed back his hood, pulled out a cigarette with his left hand, and lit it with a flame from his fingertip. He took a deep drag, then a purple crystal appeared in his hand. With a squeeze, it turned into a green Healing Stone.

"Can your hand recover?" Sif asked curiously. She had been treated by that stone before, so she knew what it could do.

"I’ll give it a try." Evenson was not sure either. He began drawing out the stone’s healing energy, and green light started shining from the stump of his right arm.

But… his hand did not grow back. Instead, a cluster of red runes materialized from thin air. So they really were indelible marks.

"It didn’t work?" Sif asked. Seeing this, she assumed the treatment had failed and comforted him, "Don’t be sad. If you get the chance, come to Asgard with me. Our technology can regenerate a severed arm without much difficulty."

"Thank you for your kindness." Evenson smiled, took out a roll of bandages, and began wrapping them around the stump of his right arm. Once the bandages were tied, they unexpectedly formed the shape of a right hand.

Evenson moved his fingers. "For now, this is all it can be."

Evenson’s right hand holding Uthalesh was not merely a physical connection. To break that connection, the Eredar Twins had directly cast a spell to destroy the very concept of Evenson’s right hand.

So when Evenson tried healing himself just now, he had merely restored that concept. As for flesh and bone, those would take some time to heal. But then an idea struck him, and his eyes shifted craftily. "This is as far as I can heal myself. I’ll really have to rely on Asgard from now on."

"No problem." Thor readily took on the responsibility, but then hesitated. "Though that will have to wait until the Bifrost is repaired."

"I can wait." Evenson tossed away the cigarette butt and pulled his hood back on. "This doesn’t affect my daily life too much yet."

"By the way, did I do anything particularly strange just now?" Evenson suddenly remembered that his consciousness had been sucked into Uthalesh. What had happened to his body outside? Had he gone around inviting people to a game of Hearthstone?

"Nothing much." Captain America walked over and said, "You just shouted for a while, then stood there blankly for a bit."

"How long?"

"Less than a minute."

"Then what did I shout?" Evenson had the feeling he had said quite a lot of incredible things.

Carter said, "I couldn’t understand it."

"You couldn’t understand?" Then it meant he had either been speaking Demonic Language or Azerothian. Otherwise, if he had shouted in Spanish, portuguese, or Chinese, Carter should have understood.

At that moment, Sarah sent him a message through their mental link.

"Ah!" After hearing Sarah out, Evenson immediately cried out in alarm, then asked uncertainly, "Get it done properly? I really said that?"

"That’s right, boss. That’s exactly what you said." Sarah’s ill-intentioned voice came through the mental link again. "Honestly, I really admire your courage now."

Heh, I admire it too. Evenson looked at his right hand again, conflicted. No wonder those two bitches hit so hard.

That was… how could this be… impossible… Within the mage Sanctum, Klayya’s eyes were wide, her face pale, and her body even swayed slightly. She had seen with her own eyes as that black wizard removed his hood and revealed his true face. But she had never expected that beneath that hood would be Evenson’s face.

That idiot young man who played games and watched anime with her was actually a black wizard. Then… was he a bad person…?

"Klayya, what’s wrong?" Olivann noticed something was off with his female disciple and asked with concern.

"Nothing." Startled, Klayya answered without thinking. She secretly glanced at the Sorcerer Supreme, whose back was turned to her, then continued, "Maybe casting that spell just took too much out of me. I’ll be fine after resting for a while."

Olivann sighed in relief and nodded.

"How is the situation now?" Evenson asked the others.

Thor immediately shouted excitedly, "The gates of Hell are filled with the wails of the enemies you killed!"

Evenson nodded, understanding what Thor meant. In short, things were going very well. But looking at Uthalesh, the Wind Reaver lying on the ground, Evenson felt that the Chitauri souls probably would not be going to Hell.

Since the main enemy force had already been wiped out by Hand of Death, with only a few stragglers wandering around the edges of the city, then…

Evenson stood up and said to everyone, "All that’s left is to close the portal, right?"

Captain America nodded. Looking back on everything that had happened today, aliens had suddenly invaded, he had discovered that he would not be able to beat his wife in the future, and then the alien invasion had abruptly ended. It was all like a dream!

"Natasha, you can close the portal now." Captain America contacted Black Widow.

Natasha had already arrived where the Cosmic Cube was located. Erik Selvig, now free from Loki’s control, had told her that Loki’s spear could shut down the Cosmic Cube. Now that she had received Captain America’s message, she immediately prepared to act.

"Wait!" Tony’s anxious roar suddenly came through the communicator. The reason was… a fusion strike had been detected en route!

"What?!" Evenson first shouted in shock, then slowly calmed down and muttered, "Where did this Nuclear Bomb come from?"

Then Tony threw himself into full power and sent the Nuclear Bomb through the portal. Everyone anxiously looked up, hoping Tony would return safely through the portal.

But Evenson simply crouched down and slammed his hand hard against the ground. A stone statue taller than a man surged up from the earth. With a rustle, the humanoid statue spread open its cloak, revealing a large patch of vivid red.

"Sarah, come down and give me a hand." Evenson said lazily.

And there was more, more…
