Ghostfire Man Allen Makes His Entrance

Morag.

It had once been home to a glorious civilization, but now it was an abandoned planet.

The dim sky was shrouded in mist that never dispersed, while jets of vapor erupted from the ground everywhere. It was no longer suitable for living creatures.

Its year-round temperature of seventy-eight degrees was completely unsuitable for humanoid races.

Allen passed through the fog and entered the planet’s atmosphere.

As far as he could see, abandoned buildings covered in dust filled his vision. It was clear that this had once been a highly advanced civilization.

"The place where the Power Gem is stored should be a temple."

Recalling the scene from the movie, Allen quickly darted around in search of it.

Before long, he successfully found a ruined temple.

Inside the temple were quite a few metal decorations, as though numerous sophisticated high-tech devices were hidden within.

"So the question is, how am I supposed to find the Power Gem?"

Indeed, before the Morag civilization evacuated, it had hidden the Power Gem inside the Orb of Power and stored it using spatial folding technology.

There had been many theories. The only reasonable explanation was that the Morag civilization had excessively studied the energy contained within the Power Gem, causing a drastic environmental change across the planet and forcing the entire race to relocate in search of a new home.

According to the setting, all power in the universe originated from the Power Gem, but the background of the American comic universe naturally could not follow the original setting.

Tear it apart.

An idea was born.

Allen manifested a massive golden hammer.

"Eighty! Eighty! Eighty!"

With a series of heavy blows, he smashed the ruined building into pieces.

It was an abandoned planet anyway. No force would come condemn Allen for destroying cultural relics.

When he had torn apart more than half of the place, a purple glow suddenly formed a square spatial box.

Floating in its center was a metal sphere covered in intricate patterns.

"The Orb of Power!"

It was exactly the same as in the movie. Allen eagerly took it down, then cautiously looked around, worried that he might have triggered some hidden mechanism.

It turned out to be a false alarm.

"Let me take a look at this legendary QQ Purple Diamond."

Allen gripped it with both hands, twisting hard as he clenched his teeth and shouted, "Open for me!"

His entire body tensed as he exerted force. Every inch of muscle trembled, yet the Orb of Power did not move at all.

"Could this be a fake?"

After examining it for ages, he could not find even the slightest seam. It looked like a completely solid iron ball.

"Holy shit, it really is a fake."

Thud!

In his anger, Allen threw the Orb of Power onto the ground, then furiously raised his foot and stomped on it.

Plop…

Its round design caused Allen’s foot to slip, and he fell flat on his back. Instantly enraged, he shouted, "You’ve got quite the attitude for a ball. I’ll put out that fire in you."

As he quickly got up, Allen began unbuttoning his clothes, intending to vent his frustration by taking a leak on the Orb of Power.

At that very moment, an orange light pierced through the atmosphere and shot straight toward Allen, who was about to unleash the floodwaters.

"What’s this?"

He stopped what he was doing and tilted his head as he observed the sudden orange light.

Before long, an orange ring hovered before him.

"An Orange Lantern Ring!?"

The spectrum rings came in red, orange, yellow, green, indigo, blue, and violet, each with its corresponding corps.

Among them, the red, orange, and yellow rings belonged to the evil faction, while the green, indigo, and blue rings belonged to the righteous faction. The Violet Lantern Ring, representing love, was neither good nor evil. After all, there had never been any shortage of lovestruck idiots doing stupid things.

Of course, the White Lantern Ring and Black Lantern Ring were extraordinarily special existences. Under normal circumstances, they would not appear for no reason.

Holding it in his palm and looking at the ring wreathed in orange light, there was no doubt that it had chosen him.

"I pick up equipment every time I go out. You’re making me feel embarrassed."

Allen put it on without hesitation. The next second, an oath involuntarily escaped his lips.

"What is mine is mine."

"Mine, mine, mine."

"Not yours."

At that moment, Larfleeze, far away on Okarro, looked up into the depths of space.

"Finally, it worked. Not only can I obtain a Yellow Lantern Ring, I’ve also gained an Orange Lantern Ghost."

If it had been an experienced Yellow Lantern, upon seeing the Orange Lantern Ring choose him, he would have destroyed it immediately.

They understood Larfleeze’s personality very well. Any newly recruited Orange Lantern would inevitably become one of his dead subordinates.

After Allen completed the ring’s binding, greedy thoughts uncontrollably began to grow in his heart.

"My precious."

Looking at the Orb of Power on the ground, Allen pounced on it like a starving dog and cradled it in both hands. With a savage, greedy expression, he said, "No one can take my precious away."

Hmm…

Realizing that he was acting far too creepy, Allen looked at the Orange Lantern Ring in confusion before suddenly understanding. "This crappy ring wants to turn me into Gollum? What a joke. My will is so firm that even ten blonde, blue-eyed, long-legged beauties in black stockings and suspenders couldn’t make me confess. I’m a gold-medal agent."

As the king of talking tough, Allen firmly refused to admit that his will had already begun to waver.

When he looked at the Orb of Power again, he could not help saying, "My precious."

Allen hurriedly covered his mouth and immediately stuffed the Orb of Power under his arm.

"Sentient lifeform locked on."

"Someone from a certain star sector."

"Your greed knows no bounds."

"You belong to the Orange Lantern Corps."

A welcoming summons suddenly echoed around his ears.

There was no need to guess. It had to be Larfleeze, the Orange Lantern Agent, calling upon a new Orange Lantern.

Just as Allen was about to ascend, a diamond-shaped portal appeared out of thin air.

It was a summons from the Yellow Lantern Corps.

Something major must have happened, or they would not have summoned the Yellow Lanterns back.

A powerful suction force forcibly interrupted the Orange Lantern summons.

The next second, Allen returned to Kowad Star.

Larfleeze, who had been waiting for his prey, immediately felt the summon cut off.

"What happened? Did he discover the problem?"

Trying to steal a chicken only to lose the rice used to bait it was a losing deal, and it left Larfleeze utterly furious.

Losing an Orange Lantern Ring was like bleeding from the heart.

"I will definitely take back the Orange Lantern Ring."

As soon as he spoke, Larfleeze transformed into an orange streak of light and shot into space.

In the outer space around Kowad Star.

Six Green Lanterns had already been defeated and were being suppressed by the Yellow Lanterns.

However, before the Yellow Lantern Corps had time to celebrate, they saw dense green lights approaching like a meteor shower.

"Prepare for battle!"

Sinestro gave the order in a deep voice.

This was undoubtedly the Guardians’ usual style.

They allowed several Green Lanterns to stir up trouble, then had the Green Lantern Corps collectively come demand their people back, forcing the Yellow Lantern Corps to yield.

But the problem was that Sinestro could not possibly release the captives so easily. A full-scale battle was unavoidable.

Of course, Sinestro, who had once been proud to be a Green Lantern, had decisively defected because he had discovered that the Guardians’ justice was not as steadfast as it appeared.

For the sake of exchanging benefits, the Guardians were willing to sacrifice Green Lantern lives.

He could accept Green Lanterns making sacrifices, but he did not agree with them becoming sacrifices for profit.

"Boss, I’m back."

Returning through the portal, Allen arrived inside the headquarters first. Seeing that everyone was in outer space, he immediately hurried over to rejoin them.

"Holy shit, so many Forgiveness Heroes!"

Looking at the Green Lantern Corps in the distance, descending like a meteor shower, Allen tactically retreated behind Liza and said solemnly, "Sister Liza, I’ll definitely support you silently from behind."

"Wait a moment. There’s going to be a hard battle, so remember to protect yourself."

Once the two sides began fighting, no one would have the time to worry about whether a rookie lived or died.

Especially since the experienced Lanterns were the main force on the battlefield. They could not possibly spare the attention to look after others.

"Okay."

Allen nodded. "Boys need to protect themselves when they go out."

"…"

Liza walked over to Sinestro’s side, displaying her status as his right-hand woman.

However, Allen looked at the Yellow Lantern beside him and asked, "Handsome, why are you crying? Are you scared?"

This Yellow Lantern looked like a crab wearing a trash can, with a basketball covered in eyes placed over it. Hundreds of eyeballs glared at Allen as he said angrily, "Because the fear creature you summoned made all my eyes swell with pain."

When he had faced the Cthulhu Phantom, he had suffered the most severe damage.

Since he had so many eyes, naturally, they required more time to recover.

Allen leaned in mysteriously. "It’s a small problem. I’ll teach you a method."

"What method?"

"Pop the extra eyes. Two are enough."

"…"

Such a lunatic suggestion really was enough to drive someone mad.

If a battle had not been imminent, he might have attacked Allen without hesitation.

At that moment, thousands of Green Lanterns formed up and faced off against the Yellow Lantern Corps.

"Sinestro, release the Green Lanterns immediately, then surrender unconditionally and await judgment."

The current leader of the Green Lantern Corps, Abin Sur, was known as the greatest Green Lantern. He and Sinestro had once been the closest of comrades.

Now, the two old friends stood on opposing sides, a situation neither of them wished to see.

"I’ll give you time to reorganize your words and say that again."

Allen hid behind a Yellow Lantern, stuck his head out, and said arrogantly, "Not only do you want us to release them, you want us to surrender too? I wouldn’t dare dream that wildly."

Tsk…

Sinestro cast an unhappy glance at Allen, who was fanning the flames, then sternly refused, "The Yellow Lantern Corps cannot agree to your unreasonable demands. I hope you think carefully."

"The Green Lantern Corps will never yield." Abin Sur’s tone was resolute.

"Then there’s nothing to talk about."

Allen manifested an axe and raised it high. "The reason our Axe Gang has a place in both the underworld and the law is because we hacked our way there, one axe at a time."

Tsk…

Not only were the Green Lantern Corps annoyed by Allen, even the Yellow Lantern Corps looked at him with disdain.

The two leaders were negotiating, yet this lackey had so much to say.

"Can he represent you?"

Abin Sur stared at Sinestro, wishing he could disregard the situation between their forces and personally beat up that talkative bastard.

"He cannot represent me, but I will not compromise," Sinestro replied.

"Boss, mighty and domineering!"

Allen shamelessly flattered him. "I hereby announce that Boss is my one and only idol."

"Can you shut up?"

Sinestro shot him a cold look, as though he would personally kill him if Allen said one more word.

"No."

Allen said seriously, "Even though you’re the boss, I’m the protagonist. No matter how much I court death, I can’t die."

"Are you challenging my authority?"

Watching Allen ramble on endlessly, Sinestro immediately felt provoked.

"Listen to yourself. Am I the kind of person who doesn’t know what’s good for me?"

A sly grin spread across Allen’s face as he admitted, "Heh… I really am the kind of person who doesn’t know what’s good for me."

"You’re courting death!"

Feeling utterly humiliated, Sinestro attacked the next moment.

A warhammer slashed toward his insane subordinate.

Boom!

A green light manifested into a barrier in front of Allen, blocking the deadly attack.

Sinestro looked at Abin Sur in confusion, as though asking why he had intervened.

However, the other man remained motionless where he stood.

"I’m done pretending. I’m coming clean."

Allen flashed forward, swiftly moving in front of the Green Lantern Corps. He shed the yellow light around him and manifested his Green Lantern uniform once more, declaring, "Green Lantern Allen requests to return to the Corps."

He did not forget to turn back with a shameless grin and add, "Sorry, I was an undercover agent."

"…"

At that moment, the atmosphere instantly froze.

Both sides wore equally bewildered expressions.

The Yellow Lantern Corps felt they had been played, having recruited a Green Lantern spy.

Meanwhile, the Green Lantern Corps was utterly confused. Since when had they gained such a crazy Green Lantern?

"In the name of the Yellow Lantern leader, I revoke your authority to use the Yellow Lantern Ring."

At this point, Sinestro could not allow an outsider to keep using a Yellow Lantern Ring. He raised the ring on his hand and fired a beam of yellow light, attempting to lock the functions of Allen’s Yellow Lantern Ring.

What happened next made both sides’ scalps tingle.

The green light around Allen vanished, replaced by an orange glow.

As the yellow beam shot toward him, he raised his Orange Lantern Ring and absorbed the Yellow Lantern energy.

"My apologies, but I just joined the Orange Lantern Corps."

Allen looked unbearably smug.

One person possessing three Lantern Rings was simply unprecedented.

"So it was you."

Abin Sur immediately understood. "Kentar died while investigating you."

The whole incident had begun with an investigation into a being outside the Green Lantern Corps who possessed Green Lantern power, which had led to this series of events.

"Hey, hey, hey… you can eat whatever you want, but you can’t just say whatever you want."

Allen spread his hands and said, "I don’t even know what I did wrong, yet you came to investigate me. You’ve kept me completely confused this whole time."

"Please cooperate and come with us. Oa will not let a criminal go, nor will it persecute a good person," Abin Sur said sternly.

"He is one of mine. I should be the one to judge him," Sinestro interrupted.

He was just as curious about Allen’s secret. One person actually possessing three Lantern Rings—if he could uncover the secret behind it, perhaps the Yellow Lantern Corps could rise to become the Spectrum Corps.

"Damn it, you two grown men want to have me? Have you considered my feelings at all?"

Naturally, Allen, the person in question, had no intention of surrendering without a fight.

With a thought, a Ghostfire Man motorcycle wreathed in three-colored light manifested beneath him. He coolly swept back his hair and said with careless flair, "Come on, baby. I’m the fastest young man in the entire universe. Come catch me, hehehe…"

He twisted the throttle.

The Ghostfire Man motorcycle shot forward, trailing a long streak of three-colored radiance.

"Chase him!"

"Chase him!"

Abin Sur and Sinestro simultaneously ordered their respective Corps to pursue him.

It was a rare sight: the Green Lantern Corps and Yellow Lantern Corps streaked after the same target like a meteor shower.

Larfleeze, the Orange Lantern Agent who had rushed over midway, came face-to-face with Allen on the Ghostfire Man motorcycle.

Bang!

Unable to dodge in time, Larfleeze felt his entire body being crushed in the next instant.

"Sorry, but Ghostfire Man never follows traffic rules."

Dazed from the traffic accident, Larfleeze could only watch helplessly as the hit-and-run driver sped away.
