#505

Goodbye sister

Qin Yuan nodded. He wanted to ask Qin Ming about his specific plans, but he was afraid that Qin Ming might not want to discuss it.

His son had grown up now and possessed many secret abilities that he never shared with him, his own father.

And since he himself lacked the ability, asking too much would only be counterproductive.

"Alright, put this matter aside for now and get back to what you were doing!" Qin Ming said, waving his hand dismissively. "I have just returned, so I am going to see Mother first. You all can continue your discussion. Remember, leave the Shen Family matter to me."

With that, Qin Ming left the hall.

Everyone looked at each other in dismay. They were holding this meeting specifically to discuss the Shen Family. Now that Qin Ming had told them to stop worrying about it, there was no point in continuing the meeting.

"Young Master Qin doesn't seem to care much about the Shen Family. Could it be that he isn't fully aware of their strength? The Shen Family is not something the old Zhang Family of Chenyang City could compare to."

"The difference in their strength is like heaven and earth. Isn't Young Master Qin being a bit too careless?" a long-haired Elder whispered.

Qin Ming's actions were always unexpected, but the strength of the Shen Family this time was simply too overwhelming—to the point of despair.

The Qin Family didn't even have a single Martial Spirit; it was only the King-rank Magical Beast that Qin Ming had subdued that was protecting them.

If not for that King-rank Magical Beast, the Qin Family would likely have been wiped out by the Shen Family by now. How could they even be in a position to negotiate?

Beside the long-haired Elder, a sturdy Elder suddenly slammed his hand on the table and roared, "Is Young Master Qin someone you can question?"

"Haven't we already informed Young Master Qin about the Shen Family's strength? Is there anything he doesn't know? Since Young Master Qin is confident in dealing with the Shen Family, we should be at ease. You've been blabbering for so long—what's the point?"

"If you're so capable, why don't you go deal with the Shen Family yourself!"

"I was just worried that Young Master Qin might be young and impulsive, that's all," the long-haired Elder said, hanging his head.

"Enough," Qin Yuan interrupted. "Let's leave this matter as it is for now. Minger is not the type to make empty boasts. Since he said he would handle the Shen Family, we should just follow his lead. How much worse could things get? At worst, we'll just have to go into hiding."

"Understood!" Everyone thought about it and realized he was right. Things had already reached this point; the worst-case scenario was simply going into hiding.

Just as Qin Ming stepped out of the main hall, a young girl came running over in a flurry.

"Brother! Brother! You're back!" The girl wore a fiery red robe and had long hair, but her most striking features were her large, bright eyes.

Qin Ming reached out and patted her head. "Not bad, you've grown taller."

"Ugh, you only ever know how to pat my head! I'm a young woman now, you know." Although she complained, her beaming smile betrayed her true feelings.

Qin Ming said affectionately, "You've become so beautiful that your brother almost didn't recognize you."

And it was true.

Three years had passed. Qin Qing had shot up in height and grown her hair long, fully displaying the radiance of her youth.

Looking at his sister before him, Qin Ming felt a wave of emotion.

In his past life, his entire family had been slaughtered, and his sister had fallen in a pool of blood; he didn't even know where her remains were.

But now, his youthful, adorable sister was standing right before him. The ten thousand years of loneliness felt like only yesterday.

"I swear, in this life, I will protect everything of yours. I will protect this happiness, and no one will ever be able to take it from my hands."

"Not a Martial Venerable, not a Martial Saint, not even a Martial God! I will become the strongest in the world." Qin Ming swore to himself.
