Green Hills Endure, Green Waters Flow On

Five of the six soon left, while the Sea God stayed behind. This was his territory—why would he leave? Besides, he could keep an eye on Su Yu.

Su Yu found Xiao Wu and looked at her. "Xiao Wu, I’m leaving. Don’t miss me. When I’m not around, take good care of yourself. If Xiao San bullies you, remember to wait until I come back and beat him up."

Xiao Wu looked at Su Yu, her eyes dimming. "Brother… where are you going?"

"Me? I don’t know. Maybe back to my own world," Su Yu said somewhat lost.

"Your own world? The God Realm?" Xiao Wu asked in confusion. They had always believed Su Yu was a god, so the world he spoke of had to be the God Realm.

Su Yu shook his head. "No. It’s a… cruel world."

Thinking of all the things he had experienced in society back then, Su Yu spoke those words.

After saying goodbye to Xiao Wu, Su Yu suddenly noticed Lin Rou staring at him. Feeling somewhat puzzled, he picked up Su Yiyi and bid farewell to the others. "Everyone, I’m leaving. If fate permits, we’ll meet again."

"Yu Ge, remember to come back and visit us!" Ma Hongjun threw his arms around Su Yu, leaving Su Yiyi caught in the middle, utterly bewildered.

Su Yu smiled and nodded. Just as he was about to leave, Dugu Bo secretly patted him. Knowing Dugu Bo likely had something he did not want others to hear, Su Yu sent him a voice transmission. "Old man, what is it?"

"Ahem, well, Su Yu… the poison in Xiao Rou’s body has been cured…" Dugu Bo replied.

Su Yu’s eyes widened as he immediately asked, "What happened? Didn’t you say it could only be cured with a god’s help, or if she became a god herself?"

"Yes. It was when we were at the Seahorse Holy Pillar earlier. When that light shone on Xiao Rou, her poison was cured," Dugu Bo said helplessly.

Su Yu covered his face with a bitter smile. Now he understood why Lin Rou had kept looking at him. He sent her a voice transmission. "Xiao Rou… you remember now, don’t you…?"

Lin Rou’s gaze remained fixed on Su Yu as she gave a slight nod.

Then her voice sounded in his mind. "I won’t tell Boss Dai and the others that I remember. It’s actually quite nice to let things continue like this… Lastly, Su Yu, I’m sorry."

Seeing Su Yu standing there in a daze, everyone looked at him in confusion. Ma Hongjun spoke up, "Yu Ge, what’s wrong?"

A faint smile appeared on Su Yu’s face. "Nothing. Everyone, green hills endure, green waters flow on. Until we meet again." With that, Su Yu directly tore open space and left while holding Su Yiyi.

After Su Yu left, everyone returned to their rooms. Lin Rou curled up in her room, unable to stop her tears from falling. Dugu Bo stood outside her door, unsure whether he should enter. After five years together, Lin Rou held a place in Dugu Bo’s heart no different from Dugu Yan’s. Her pain left his heart equally tangled.

After Su Yu left Sea God Island, the Sea God suddenly felt a chill down his back. Turning around, he saw a black-and-white dog wearing a wicked grin before it viciously bit down on his butt. That scene was truly beyond description.

Su Yu had been watching everything with his divine sense. The big dog was naturally Erha, and Su Yu had been the one to send him there. After all, that bastard had nothing better to do than cure the poison in Lin Rou’s body.

After being bitten by Erha, the Sea God desperately wanted to scream, but he held it in. He was on Sea God Island right now—if he cried out, his reputation would be gone in an instant.

After biting him for a while, Erha was taken away by Su Yu through a tear in space. The Sea God was dumbfounded from start to finish. Who did I provoke to get bitten by a dog…?

Star Dou Great Forest

Su Yu and Su Yiyi returned to the core region. On Douluo Continent, the only people he truly could not bear to leave were his mother, Xiao Wu and the others, and Yu Xiaogang’s group of three.

Su Yu’s mother was sitting by the lake in a daze. Su Yu walked over and said, "Mother, isn’t it boring staying here alone? When you have time in the future, go visit Shrek Academy."

Su Yu’s mother smiled faintly. "It’s fine. I like a quiet life. The academy is too noisy; it doesn’t suit me."

"Alright, alright. In a few more years, Xiao Wu and Xiao San will be able to become gods. Then you can go to the God Realm and won’t have to suffer the heavenly tribulations anymore." As he spoke, Su Yu linked arms with his mother, while Su Yiyi went off to play with Da Ming and Er Ming.

Su Yu’s mother’s eyes flickered as she looked at him. "You’re leaving?"

Su Yu froze for a moment, then nodded.

His mother sighed. "Many years ago, you fell from the sky, and I knew you would leave sooner or later. I always guessed that you might be the descendant of some god in the God Realm. Now it seems that Xiao Yu, your background must be even greater than that, right?"

Su Yu smiled and shook his head. "Mother, there’s something you guessed wrong. I have no background, and I don’t need one."

Su Yu’s mother smiled and stroked his head. "So my Xiao Yu is this amazing!"

Su Yu’s eyes stung slightly as he smiled. "Yes, Mother. Don’t worry, I’ll come back. I’m an orphan. You gave me a mother’s love. You are my mother—my only mother."

As he spoke, Su Yu hugged his mother. She had not expected Su Yu to be an orphan, and her heart immediately ached for him. Holding him, she softly said, "Xiao Yu, Soul Beasts generally don’t have names, and neither does Mother. My mother left not long after giving birth to me, and I was too lazy to give myself a name, so I’ve never had one. Today, how about you think of a name for Mother?"

Su Yu released his mother and nodded firmly. "Mother, would it wrong you to take the surname Su?"

His mother smiled. "How could sharing Xiao Yu’s surname wrong me?"

Su Yu thought for a moment. "Mother, how do you like Su Yuxi?"

Su Yuxi nodded. "Mother likes it very much. Thank you, Xiao Yu."

Su Yu smiled and called to Su Yiyi, "Yiyi, come quickly and say goodbye to Grandma."

Su Yiyi immediately ran over and asked blankly, "Daddy, why are we saying goodbye to Grandma? Are we going back to that little island again?"

"No, Yiyi. We’re leaving this place—leaving this world," Su Yu said, rubbing Su Yiyi’s little head.

Su Yiyi threw her arms around Su Yu’s leg. "Daddy, Yiyi doesn’t want to leave here. I don’t want to leave Grandma, Auntie, Big Monkey, or Big Ox."

Su Yu picked Su Yiyi up and rubbed her little nose. "Yiyi, we can come back to visit Grandma and the others in the future."

Su Yiyi’s eyes immediately lit up again. "Really?"

Su Yu smiled and nodded. "Of course it’s true. Now say goodbye to Grandma."

"Mhm, mhm. Goodbye, Grandma." Su Yiyi nodded with a smile.

"Goodbye, Yiyi." Su Yuxi smiled and waved. Before long, Su Yu and Su Yiyi left. They did not depart immediately, instead heading to Shrek Academy. In the original story, Yu Xiaogang and the others had not become gods and ultimately died of old age. Naturally, Su Yu would not let Yu Xiaogang and the others die that way.
