Hela, Goddess of Death, Found by the Road

The group arrived at the central control room.

Pressed against the isolation glass before them was a young woman dressed in a black bodysuit streaked with green patterns, her hand clutching a short-handled hammer tightly.

"Hela, Goddess of Death!"

Allen recognized her at a glance. Wasn’t she the Goddess of Death who had gotten him pregnant in the underworld?

"Boss, you know her?" Yondu asked curiously.

"Bring her aboard."

It was now six hundred years ago, more than a century earlier than the previous timeline, so the Council of Gods had yet to be established.

That meant Hela was likely still fighting Odin’s wars.

A mechanical arm extended from the spaceship, seized the Hela whose fate was unknown, and brought her into the ship.

After reviewing the voyage recordings, they confirmed that they had indeed passed through an area littered with corpses and severed remains.

There were female limbs everywhere, along with numerous winged flying horses.

They were undoubtedly the Valkyries, Asgard’s elite war legion, yet they had been wiped out in an unfamiliar star system.

As a result, everyone looked at Hela with grave expressions, worried that she would bring even more trouble.

The instruments showed that Hela still had vital signs.

However, the anatomical scan of her body was unlike that of an ordinary life-form.

That was perfectly normal. Hela was a god. She could drift through the vacuum of space without dying, and her physique was terrifying enough to take on Hulk alone.

"She’s alive. Great."

Allen said in delight, "Strike while the iron’s hot and give it a go."

Everyone gave him indifferent looks, and Allen lost interest, dropping the matter resentfully.

No one was even going to stop him. That made it terribly boring.

Heh…

While everyone was gathered around, pondering how to wake Hela, she took a deep breath and came to.

Beneath the heavy black eyeshadow, her bewildered eyes surveyed the people around her.

"Where am I?" Hela asked blankly.

"Mommy!"

Allen pounced into Hela’s arms and cried coquettishly, "It’s so great that you’re okay! Allen was worried sick!"

Mommy!?

When did I have a child?

And such a grown child at that. He didn’t look very bright, either.

Thud!

Without hesitation, Hela struck Allen on the head with Mjolnir.

Allen immediately collapsed to the floor, dizzy and twitching.

"Don’t be hasty."

Frank drew his twin guns, which were suddenly enchanted with Hellfire, and explained, "We saved you."

"You saved me?"

Hela’s tone calmed slightly as she muttered, "I think I have amnesia."

Frank only smiled without replying. In his original world, he had naturally heard a little about the Goddess of Death’s fearsome reputation. Thor’s sister, a child even Odin, the Allfather, feared.

A god suffering from amnesia—what an ironic thing.

The other members had no impression of her. After all, Asgard still operated on Earth at this time and was nowhere near as famous as the Council of Gods would become in later generations.

When the voyage footage was played again, Hela watched the slain Valkyrie force, and a nearly imperceptible flicker passed through her eyes.

"Thank you all."

Hela thanked them, her gaze pausing slightly when it swept past Thanos.

Apart from Thanos, no one else could see Death Girl standing beside him, smiling.

As the Goddess of Death, Hela naturally possessed authority over death and could therefore see death’s personification.

They simply understood one another without saying it aloud.

"Don’t thank us."

Frank pointed at the twitching Allen and said, "You should thank the captain."

"That’s right, you should thank me."

Allen sprang to his feet in an instant, completely unlike his previous self. Looking spirited and proud, he declared, "Of course, in return, you’ll join my Galactic Peacekeeping Patrol for Equality, Love, Mutual Aid, Environmental Protection, and Endangered Species Conservation. Or, for short, the Guardians of the Galaxy."

He was the captain?

Are you all insane!

Hela thought to herself. What kind of bizarre team would choose such a lunatic as its captain?

Seeing that she remained unmoved, Allen solemnly declared, "Join our team. The monthly salary is one thousand, there are no days off all year, you pay for your own insurance, and lateness or leaving early means fines. We’re all about that wolf-pack corporate culture."

"…"

Compared to you, capitalists were great philanthropists.

"I can stay with your team for a while and recover my memories along the way."

Naturally, that was not Hela’s real reason.

She had led the Valkyrie force into defeat. If she returned to Asgard now, she would have to face Odin’s punishment. She might as well hide outside for a while and return to the divine realm later.

"Welcome aboard."

They raised their glasses to celebrate the addition of another new member.

Hela drained her drink and introduced herself. "I’m Hela, from Asgard."

After introducing themselves, they were considered acquainted.

Aboard the ship, everyone gradually became more familiar with one another, and conversations steadily increased.

Even the symbiote Phantom drank enough to display his transformation ability while explaining the origin of his name.

Only Allen hugged empty air and called out for the death girl, begging for kisses.

At first, Hela thought he was calling for her and angrily prepared to raise her hammer and give him another blow. Then she realized that there seemed to be a personification of death present, so she secretly glanced over and was stunned to find Death Girl wearing a look of utter disgust.

"Death girl, I’m the hottest guy at Qingshan Rehabilitation Center. Please don’t be so ungrateful."

Allen embraced empty air with both arms, flirtatiously lifted one leg up and down, puckered his lips passionately, and leaned forward slightly as though about to kiss someone.

The next moment, he pulled his head back and said in a deliberately proper tone, "No kisses for you. I’m a respectable boy. How could I do something like that?"

You’re respectable!?

Say that again, motherfucker.

Who the fuck had called someone mommy the moment he showed up?

Shameless bastard.

Watching Allen’s cheap expression, veins involuntarily bulged on Hela’s forehead.

On the third day, the spaceship approached its target planet.

‘Arriving near target planet A2C5 in the White Whale Constellation. All crew, please check your safety devices. Entering the atmosphere…’

The spaceship jolted.

Everyone gripped their seat handles tightly.

The moment they passed through the atmosphere, a layer of blazing heat enveloped the ship’s outer hull.

Within minutes, the decelerators beneath the ship expelled thrust, offsetting the force of descent, and it landed steadily.

"Awesome! First stop on our alien tourism check-in tour."

The moment Allen undid his safety harness, he dashed out of the ship.

Before him stretched a bleak gray plain, like an endless wasteland.

Hah…

He took a deep breath and exhaled.

Allen sighed emotionally. "Alien air… why does it smell like rotten eggs? Cough, cough…"

Clutching his throat with both hands, he rolled across the ground in respiratory distress.

Clearly, the planet’s atmospheric composition differed from Earth’s, and humans could not breathe it directly.

Everyone wore helpless expressions.

"Does this guy lack the common sense that he should put on an oxygen mask first when arriving on an unfamiliar planet?"

Frank had already entered his Ghost Rider form, becoming a flaming skeleton, so he complained without any difficulty.

Yondu took out an oxygen device and fitted it onto Allen.

Once Allen could breathe normally again, he still shamelessly declared, "I almost got suffocated by my own handsomeness."
