How to change this script?

Luo Xiao felt a sense of emotion. Ever since taking over Lanpian Film and Television, he had been under a certain amount of pressure.

Chen Mo was not only President Chen but also his old classmate.

Since he had entrusted such an important company to him, it was a sign of trust.

Ever since he had filmed two box-office flops, even his family members didn't trust him much anymore.

But President Chen was different; he didn't question him just because he had filmed two flops.

Instead, he handed a huge company directly to him—what a tremendous amount of trust that was!

For the sake of this trust, he didn't dare to be the least bit careless while filming [demon subduing record]. He didn't let a single shot slide and tried his best to make everything perfect.

Now that the movie was released, the box office had seen a leap in growth.

According to the current rate of box office growth, the box office for [demon subduing record] shouldn't be too low.

At the very least, it wouldn't cause President Chen to lose money on his investment.

"That's right, we haven't let down President Chen's expectations!"

Wang Bin sighed with emotion, his eyes filled with endless gratitude.

He had previously been a struggling extra, and it was President Chen who didn't mind his status and actually let him play the lead role in the movie.

No matter what, without President Chen, he wouldn't be who he was today.

He was very grateful to President Chen for this, and he was very happy that [demon subduing record] was a success.

…

Mingri Group,

Presidents Office,

Chen Mo leaned back in his office chair, carefully checking the situation of every company under Mingri Group.

With less than ten days left until the settlement date, he had to give it his full attention and couldn't be even slightly careless. What if, due to his own negligence, one of his companies suddenly had a large amount of income?

Wouldn't that be a huge loss?

After a while,

Chen Mo organized the documents for all the companies and set them aside, his face carrying a hint of relief.

Fortunately, these companies were still obedient and nothing had happened that was out of his control.

So, for now, the biggest variable was [demon subduing record] from Lanpian Film and Television, but currently, the box office growth of [demon subduing record] was still within his acceptable range.

As long as it kept up like this, he would be satisfied.

As for whether the box office of [demon subduing record] would skyrocket after the settlement, that wasn't something he needed to consider right now.

At the very least, he had to successfully complete the current settlement first and ensure the 30 million from this settlement was secure; that was the important thing.

Chen Mo thought to himself.

"President Chen, this is the box office report submitted by Lanpian Film and Television."

Shen Rou walked over at some point and handed over a report, a smile that she couldn't hide in her eyes.

She had also looked over this box office report, and of course, that included the reports from the previous few days.

Through a simple comparison, she could also see that the box office growth from last night had already shown a leap-style increase. If this leap-style growth continued, then the box office for [demon subduing record] would definitely become more and more explosive.

"Hmm!"

Chen Mo looked at the box office report handed over by Shen Rou, straightened his body slightly, and reached out to take the report.

He flipped through the report casually.

Huh!

His pupils constricted slightly when he saw the box office report from last night.

Over 8 million in box office revenue.

This wasn't right!

Thinking of this, he hurriedly found the box office records from the previous few days and put them together for comparison.

Chen Mo's brows furrowed slightly, and a bad premonition arose in his heart.

After this comparison, he suddenly discovered a problem: since the day before yesterday, this box office growth rate had been showing an increasing trend.

He hadn't paid much attention to it the first two days; after all, the box office revenue had always been within his acceptable range.

But today was different; this time, the box office growth had actually increased exponentially.

It had suddenly jumped from over 4 million to over 8 million.

Such a leap-style growth suddenly caused a sense of unease to well up in his heart.

"Why is the box office growing so rapidly today? Did some unknown variable appear?"

Chen Mo frowned slightly and looked up at Shen Rou.

"President Chen, Lanpian Film and Television didn't mention any variables. I will go and find out later."

Hearing this, Shen Rou hurriedly spoke up.

"Hmm, then find out as soon as possible. The faster, the better."

Chen Mo waved his hand somewhat powerlessly. The box office, which had been growing normally, had suddenly shown another leap in growth. If he didn't find the reason, it truly made him feel uneasy.

"Alright, President Chen. I'll go find out right now and report back as soon as I have results."

Shen Rou nodded hurriedly, then quickly turned and returned to her own office.

Watching Shen Rou leave.

Chen Mo looked at the box office report on the table again and couldn't sit still anymore.

The current leap-style growth of the box office made him very uneasy. No matter what, the matter of the new movie couldn't be dragged out any longer.

Otherwise, if the box office of [demon subduing record] grew too rapidly, he would have to invest the extra System Funds into the new movie.

Thinking of this,

He directly pressed the call button for Lanpian Film and Television, asking Luo Xiao to bring the script for that sci-fi movie to the office.

He had let Luo Xiao prepare the new movie for so long; for safety's sake, he still needed to confirm whether the movie's script had been altered.

Actually, he wanted to directly order Luo Xiao not to alter the new movie script without authorization.

But after having this thought, the system gave him a reminder directly.

[Given that the host has not had much contact with the film industry, you cannot participate too much in the film preparation matters. You can provide some appropriate opinions, but you cannot make decisive orders. Professional matters require professional people to do them.]

Listening to the system's voice, Chen Mo was speechless.

As a Group president, what was wrong with ordering his company's employees? Couldn't he just be a boss who pointed fingers?

He sighed helplessly.

Since he couldn't order him directly, he could only remind him implicitly. Otherwise, if that guy Luo Xiao altered the new movie script without authorization.

Just like the current [demon subduing record]—directly changing it into [Monster Hunt] for him—he would be so sad he could cry.

This time, he also reflected on his own mistake,

Which was trusting Luo Xiao too much. Also, there was the issue of the script; the quality of a movie was also fundamentally determined by the script.

If the foundation was solid, it determined the lower limit of this script; even if other areas were a bit lacking, the movie wouldn't be too bad.

So this time, he must focus on the script issue and ensure this foundation became very unstable.

…

Lanpian Film and Television,

After Luo Xiao and Wang Bin finished discussing the box office of [demon subduing record], they began to study the script for the new movie.

"Brother Xiao, how should we change this script? This is a bit difficult."

Wang Bin said with some distress. He knew nothing about sci-fi movies, and he felt that after changing the plot, he would be at a loss regarding those sci-fi parts.

Luo Xiao also shook his head helplessly.

He hadn't touched sci-fi movies in the two films he had shot before, and what's more, there were almost no sci-fi movies being filmed in the film industry now.

So he had almost no reference material,

These past few days, whenever he had time, he would think about how to change the sci-fi movie, but he still had no clue up to now.

Ring ring ring!!

The call button suddenly rang,

Seeing this, Luo Xiao hurriedly answered it. This call button was only connected to the Presidents Office.

As long as the call button rang, it must be President Chen calling him; how could he dare to be negligent?
