Huang Rong Gets Angry, Plans to Leave the Island
Su Yu nodded. "Mom, don’t worry. I understand."
"Alright, then let’s eat first," Feng Heng said, having Su Yu sit down for dinner.
How could Su Yu not care for Huang Rong? It was just that Huang Rong and Huang Rou were like one body. In the future, Su Yu would eventually part ways with them, but the two of them would never be separated for the rest of their lives. Therefore, one of them had to be capable of shouldering great responsibilities.
Clearly, Huang Rou’s personality made that impossible. So Su Yu could only push Huang Rong to become more outstanding. By outstanding, Su Yu did not mean proficiency in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, but being better able to handle difficulties and problems when facing them.
Su Yu had worried himself sick over the two of them. They were the Twin Swords, Innate Spiritual Treasures. From Ya Er, Su Yu had learned that among the ten greatest Innate Spiritual Treasures, the Twin Swords had the most tragic fate. They could not marry anyone other than each other, and when they took human form, they could only become either two boys or two girls. In other words, they were destined to remain single and rely on each other for life.
So if Huang Rong had too good a temper, Su Yu did not dare imagine what would happen when the two encountered trouble in the future. Sometimes, Su Yu even hoped that one of them could be somewhat cold-blooded, so they would not suffer losses later on.
Not long after, Huang Rou returned while pulling Huang Rong along. When Huang Rong saw Su Yu, she pouted and snorted, then ran over to sit beside Feng Heng. Hugging her bowl, she lowered her head and began eating heartily.
Su Yu gave a bitter smile. Seeing Huang Rong stay silent, he muttered, "Forget it. I’m the Myriad Realms Dominator, after all. Can’t I protect those two little girls? Even if they encounter difficulties or problems in the future, I’ll just solve them for them…"
Huang Laoxie looked at Su Yu in confusion. "Shao Tian, what are you muttering about?"
"Nothing. Eat, eat," Su Yu said with a smile.
After dinner, Huang Rong ran off without even glancing at Su Yu. Su Yu helplessly shook his head. This little girl was really angry. He looked at Huang Rou and asked, "Xiao Rou Er, where did Xiao Rong Er run off to?"
Huang Rou said awkwardly, "Brother, Sister doesn’t want me to tell you…"
"Heh, that girl has gotten smarter, huh? Just because she doesn’t tell me, does that mean I can’t find out?" Su Yu said with a smile.
At nine years old, Su Yu’s cultivation had already reached the pinnacle of the martial arts world: the peak of the Grandmaster realm. Having reached the Grandmaster realm, he could already use his divine sense. He did not even need to calculate with his fingers. He simply released his divine sense and quickly found Huang Rong.
Su Yu set down his bowl and chopsticks and left. Then, with a leap, he landed on the roof. He ran in one direction, his figure darting over the rooftops without making the slightest sound. Soon, he arrived atop the last row of houses in the manor’s rear courtyard.
Huang Rong was sitting on the roof, gazing at the lake beyond the rear courtyard. Su Yu said, "Xiao Rong Er, are you still angry? Not even Lollipop can make you calm down?"
Hearing Su Yu’s voice, Huang Rong turned to glance at him, then snorted and ignored him.
It had to be said that scolding and beating were never the cruelest things. The cruelest thing was cold violence. Huang Rong ignoring Su Yu like this made him feel rather upset.
Su Yu walked over and sat beside Huang Rong, rubbing her little head. "Alright, alright. It was Brother’s fault. Don’t be angry anymore, okay?"
"Hmph! I won’t forgive you!" Huang Rong said, puffing out her cheeks.
Su Yu smiled. Huang Rong speaking to him meant that most of her anger had faded, but he also knew that making her forgive him would likely come at a price.
"Tell me. What will it take for you to forgive Brother? No matter what wish it is, I’ll agree to it," Su Yu said with a smile.
Huang Rong glanced at Su Yu. "Really?"
Su Yu nodded. "Really. If I lie to you, I’m a puppy."
Huang Rong immediately broke into a smile. "I want to go out and play."
"Alright." Su Yu immediately nodded in agreement.
Huang Rong froze. "I mean leave the island, not leave the manor."
Su Yu shrugged. "I know."
Huang Rong asked blankly, "But Dad and Mom won’t agree, will they?"
Su Yu scraped Huang Rong’s little nose. "I know. If they don’t agree, I’ll take you and force our way off the island. Dad can’t stop me."
Huang Rong stared blankly at Su Yu. So gentle… was this really my awful brother?
"Silly girl, what are you thinking about? Have you decided? As long as I take you out to play, you’ll forgive me?" Su Yu asked.
Huang Rong immediately came back to her senses and nodded vigorously. "Mm! As long as you take me… mm, and Little Sister too, out to play, I’ll forgive you."
Su Yu held out his little finger with a smile. "Alright, it’s a deal."
Huang Rong smiled and likewise held out her little finger, hooking it with Su Yu’s. Then their thumbs pressed together. The two figures, one large and one small, were reflected upon the lake in the rear courtyard…
The next day
Su Yu came to Huang Laoxie and Feng Heng’s room. The moment he entered, he called out, "Dad, Mom, when Eldest Senior Brother and the others leave the island this time, I plan to take Xiao Rong Er and Xiao Rou Er outside for a walk."
"What? I don’t agree! Rong Er and Rou Er are only five years old. What if they’re wronged outside, or get lost?" Huang Laoxie’s voice instantly rose several pitches.
Su Yu looked at Feng Heng. Feng Heng was unwilling as well. "Shao Tian, Rong Er and Rou Er are still so young. Your father and I simply can’t rest easy about them leaving Peach Blossom Island."
Huang Laoxie immediately added, "Exactly! Nothing you say will matter, brat. I won’t agree!"
Su Yu dug at his ear. "Dad, I’m not here to ask for your opinion. I’m here to notify you. If I want to take Xiao Rong Er and Xiao Rou Er away, you can’t stop me anyway."
"I… you bastard! Am I your father, or are you mine?!" Huang Laoxie was so angry that he nearly jumped up.
Su Yu smiled. "Dad, Mom, just relax. With me around, who could hurt them? Who could make them suffer? Besides, I’m not planning to go far. We’ll stay at Eldest Senior Brother’s home in Jiangnan. With Eldest Senior Brother and the others there, as well as me, nothing will go wrong."
Huang Laoxie’s face turned livid. "You brat, aren’t you going to consider whether your mother and I can bear to part with them?"
Su Yu jumped directly onto the table in front of Huang Laoxie, then patted Huang Laoxie on the shoulder. "Dad, you’re a grown man. Don’t act like some young lady. We’re only going out to play for a month or two, not leaving forever."
Huang Laoxie: "…Brat, disappear from in front of me right this instant!"
"Sure. Then it’s settled. I’ll be leaving first." With that, Su Yu left with a smile.
