Hulk vs. Thor
"Brother, that was thousands of years ago. Earth is completely different now."
Hearing the Great Serpent’s words, Odin shook his head and said, "Asgard is no match for Earth now. Besides, this isn’t surrender. I’m merely giving up leadership. Our sovereignty won’t be affected."
"Coward! How powerful could a mere Earth possibly be?"
The Great Serpent roared, "Even if they really are powerful, so what? We fight them to the end! Asgardians may die, but we cannot lose our courage or our honor."
"Fight to the end?"
Odin sighed and said, "Even if we fight to the end, we still can’t win. I can’t let Asgard’s warriors die for nothing."
In the past, Odin might have been unwilling to accept this, but ever since learning about Future Time-Space, he had completely let it go. Nothing mattered more than the lives of Asgard’s people.
Joining the Earth Federation would not only eliminate future dangers, but more importantly, it would give Asgard someone to rely on—a supremely dependable backer.
With the Blood God around, Asgard would have nothing to fear no matter what danger it faced. That was also why Odin had not asked the Blood God to return the Aether.
What a joke. With the Blood God around, why would he need to perish together with the Great Serpent? The Great Serpent was nothing more than a matter of one slap—or perhaps a few slaps—from the Blood God.
The world was such a wonderful place. Odin had no desire to die.
"Odin, you have disappointed me beyond measure. You are worse than a pig."
The Great Serpent roared, "Release me. Asgard will never surrender. I will lead the Asgardians to defeat Earth and conquer the universe."
Odin smiled. "Brother, save your breath. If I let you out, Asgard would probably sink by tomorrow. Focus on the match. Your nephew can really fight. He won’t disappoint you."
"Odin, I will kill you."
The Great Serpent gritted his teeth and shouted. Whether for himself or for Asgard, Odin had to die.
How could Asgard surrender to slaves? Asgard was the realm of gods, lofty and exalted gods worshipped by humans!
Odin shook his head and said, "I hope Asgard’s people are not as stubborn as you."
In a private box at the arena, a handsome male assistant dressed in a crisp suit approached Grand Duchess Sarah and whispered, "The serum has been delivered to the Royal Guard. They agreed to use it."
Grand Duchess Sarah nodded. "Very good. We cannot lose this time. Queen Skye is on the Skrull Empire’s side, and Centurion Lindy is close to Queen Skye. If Queen Skye becomes an elder, the Shi’ar Empire’s influence will be greatly reduced."
"The Skrull Empire’s move to win over Queen Skye was indeed a good one."
The assistant nodded. Looking at Thor below, he asked, "Grand Duchess, are we really going to support Thor? He doesn’t seem to have much of a brain."
"Those without brains are easier to control. Thor can not only help us control the alliance, but also help us suppress Earth."
Grand Duchess Sarah smiled. "Earth’s high-end combat power is far too terrifying. We absolutely cannot let them continue to develop. Otherwise, the universe will gain a hegemonic superpower."
The assistant nodded and said, "I hope Thor does not disappoint us."
"This match will stop at the first sign of restraint. Once either side admits defeat, they must stop immediately…"
At the arena, the referee loudly announced the rules. Skye and Thor, representing their respective teams, nodded at the same time. "Understood."
"Good. Activate the Defense Shield. Both teams, move back until you are one hundred meters apart."
The referee nodded and shouted outside. Upon receiving the order, the staff immediately activated the Defense Shield, separating the audience stands from the battlefield.
This was a flagship-grade Defense Shield, jointly sponsored by the Skrull Empire and the Shi’ar Empire. They did not want the audience getting hurt, after all; these spectators were all people of extraordinary status.
It was worth mentioning that this Defense Shield was not hemispherical but cylindrical. In other words, it had no roof above it. This had been Thor’s special request.
As the Defense Shield activated, both teams retreated. Hulk took a deep breath, and his aura surged explosively as he entered the God-Devil Level through rage.
After constant training, Hulk could now enter the God-Devil Level whenever he wished. He knew exactly how terrifying Thor was with Stormbreaker, so he had prepared himself in advance.
Sensing Hulk’s aura, flashes of lightning flickered through Thor’s eyes. After three months of training, coupled with Stormbreaker, he feared no enemy.
Once everything was ready, the referee flew into the air and shouted, "The match begins!"
"Thor."
"Hulk."
Having long since been unable to wait, Hulk and Thor immediately leaped toward each other with all their strength, leaving behind two deep craters with two loud booms.
"Hulk, I won’t hold back."
Midair, Thor gripped Stormbreaker tightly, his eyes filled with determination. He was the king of Asgard. He had to fight for Asgard.
"Perfect. I wasn’t planning to hold back either."
Hulk grinned. Just as the two were about to collide, the Symbiote on Hulk’s wrist shot a mass of black slime at Thor’s face. Thor instantly lost his vision, and his movements fell into disarray.
Seizing the opportunity, Hulk twisted aside to avoid Thor’s axe, then drove a fist into Thor’s cheek with a sonic boom. Thor flew away like a meteor and slammed heavily into the Defense Shield.
The Defense Shield shook violently, and the audience erupted in alarm. This was a flagship-grade Defense Shield, yet Hulk’s punch had shaken it so violently. Wasn’t that far too terrifying? Staring at the data in his hand, the assistant said in shock, "The power of that punch far exceeds an ordinary energy cannon."
"A Battleship Level powerhouse?"
Grand Duchess Sarah’s eyes flickered. As the name implied, a Battleship Level powerhouse was someone capable of destroying a battleship alone.
It was worth mentioning that, according to the Shi’ar Empire’s records, the Blood God was a Planet Level powerhouse, one capable of destroying an entire planet, while Black Bolt was a Fleet Level powerhouse.
"So much for the so-called God of Thunder."
The Royal Guard members sneered disdainfully. Grand Duchess Sarah’s high opinion of Thor had left them deeply displeased.
For that reason, they had no intention of helping Thor at all. They simply stood to the side and watched the show.
Since the Royal Guard was not acting, Skye and the others were even less likely to intervene. There was no need to rush over such a short amount of time. Besides, too many people would make the performance harder.
"Damn it."
Thor fell from the Defense Shield with a bang. Cursing, dazzling lightning crackled all over his body, instantly destroying the Symbiote.
Then Thor raised Stormbreaker and swung it fiercely at Hulk, who had landed on the ground. Endless lightning formed a gigantic phantom axe that cleaved toward Hulk, tearing a massive fissure through the ground and warping the surrounding space.
"Good!"
Hulk nimbly dodged the axe shadow and pounced savagely at Thor like a primordial beast. Every step made the arena shake without end.
Seeing this, Thor smashed his axe into the ground with all his strength. Endless lightning spread toward Hulk, who leaped high into the air and raised his arm, throwing a vicious punch at Thor.
Thor used the lightning-wreathed face of his axe to block Hulk’s fist. With a thunderous boom, a hurricane instantly swept through the area. Thor slammed hard into the Defense Shield, making it shudder and cave in.
Although he had knocked Thor back, Hulk did not come away unscathed. His fist was charred black, and worse still, his entire body was paralyzed, leaving him unable to move.
Thor seized the chance to punch Hulk away. Then he flew into the sky and raised his axe. The entire sky darkened as countless electric serpents writhed within it.
The audience erupted in alarm. He could affect the weather over such a vast area. The title God of Thunder truly suited him.
"Hulk, take this!"
Thor roared, and endless lightning descended from the sky, striking viciously toward Hulk. The world turned blinding white, and the audience was so awed by the God of Thunder’s might that they held their breath, not daring to make a sound.
The moment Thor flew into the sky, Hulk summoned Bone Wings. Then he controlled a large amount of bone to gather around his arm, forming a massive white bone shield.
The instant the bone shield formed, the lightning arrived. Hulk raised the shield, beat his wings, and charged upward through the lightning.
"A few new abilities, but Hulk, you are no match for me."
Thor gripped Stormbreaker and swung it fiercely at the charging Hulk. The surrounding lightning gathered together, forming a gigantic lightning axe that hacked down at Hulk.
With a bang, the bone shield shattered instantly. Yet to everyone’s surprise, Hulk was not behind it. He had vanished into thin air.
Thor froze. Just as he was about to search for Hulk, Hulk suddenly enlarged behind him. Then Hulk kicked out, sending Thor crashing toward the ground like a meteor.
Boom! The entire arena shook. Dust rose from the ground in great clouds, and Thor shook his head as he crawled out of the crater with a bewildered expression. What had just happened? Before Thor could figure it out, a tremendous force smashed into his wrist. Thor cried out in pain and could not help releasing Stormbreaker. Then Stormbreaker was kicked far away by another force.
"Stormbreaker!"
Thor was greatly alarmed and hurriedly reached out to summon the axe. At that moment, Hulk appeared out of thin air at full size and unleashed a flurry of punches at Thor’s face. Thor was beaten back again and again, completely unable to fight back.
"Thor relies too much on his weapon."
Damon could not help shaking his head. "Without it, his strength drops by at least half."
"What’s wrong with relying on weapons? Weapons are part of one’s strength too. Doesn’t Hulk also use external tools?"
Tony said unhappily. He had never thought there was anything wrong with using external tools. The greatest difference between humans and beasts was that humans knew how to use tools.
Damon did not argue. Everyone had their own views.
"Why can Hulk grow bigger and smaller?"
Captain Marvel asked in confusion, "He didn’t have that ability before. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have beaten him up every day."
"These are the Pym Particles I told you about."
Skye smiled. "Ordinary people need specialized equipment to use Pym Particles, but Hulk doesn’t. His physique is powerful enough for him to use them directly, which makes them very convenient."
"I see."
Carol came to a sudden realization. With great interest, she asked, "Skye, do you have any Pym Particles? I want some to play around with."
Skye said, "I’ll give you some later. Pym Particles have many uses, and I don’t have much myself."
Hulk’s fists were heavy. Thor was beaten until his head spun and he could not counterattack. Then Hulk grabbed Thor by the armor, hoisted him high into the air, and smashed him down into the ground.
Boom! The ground caved in, forming a massive crater. The arena shook violently again. Grand Duchess Sarah, covered in dust, had black lines on her face. She should have sat outside. At this rate, would the arena collapse before the fight was over?
Hulk leaped high into the air. Then he grinned midair and shouted in the clumsy Chinese Wang Bert had taught him, "Heavenly Crippling Kick!"
Along with Hulk’s shout, his right foot expanded wildly, transforming into a giant’s foot that stomped viciously down toward Thor below. The entire space trembled before that enormous foot.
"Danger!"
Thor abruptly snapped awake. Seeing the massive green foot descending like a mountain, his expression changed drastically. He hurriedly gathered lightning around his body for protection.
Boom! The ground shook more violently than ever before. Quite a few audience members were thrown directly from their seats, while the Defense Shield trembled nonstop as if it might shatter at any moment.
"That move was definitely taught by Master."
Skye rolled her eyes. Master was a huge martial arts fan who was always researching martial arts techniques. She just had not expected Hulk to be "corrupted" as well.
"Awesome!"
Hulk laughed loudly, grinding his massive foot down a few times before withdrawing it. An incomparably huge footprint appeared in the ground. Thor lay battered and torn inside it, his face covered in blood and his expression lifeless.
"Thor, you lost."
Hulk descended from the sky and spoke proudly. Thor did not answer, either because his mind was unclear or because he could not accept the blow.
Hulk curled his lips in boredom. Thinking of something, he turned and shouted at Tony, "The big dummy can improve too, and my improvement speed far surpasses that of a weakling scientist."
Tony said, "You mean Banner? He really is pretty weak. Also, you should wash your feet. Thor was knocked unconscious by the smell."
Banner felt offended. Hulk, meanwhile, gave Tony a fierce middle finger.
"Great!"
The audience climbed up from the ground and cheered wildly. Hulk was simply too powerful. Many people instantly became Hulk’s fans.
Hulk excitedly waved to everyone. He had been born to be a star in the arena.
"A Fleet Level powerhouse. This Hulk is definitely a Fleet Level powerhouse."
Grand Duchess Sarah, gray-faced and covered in dust, looked utterly grim. She had never expected Thor to lose so quickly and so miserably.
Grand Duchess Sarah was not the only one who had not expected it. The Asgardians had not either. At that moment, every bar in Asgard fell into deathly silence.
Their great hero, god of war, and super powerhouse had been defeated.
In Soldier Bar, an Asgardian soldier slammed his fist against the table and shouted angrily, "How is this possible? Thor actually lost to an Earthling?"
"There’s no way Thor should have lost. He is Asgard’s supreme warrior."
"That Earthling must have cheated."
The other soldiers shouted in outrage. If they had been at the arena, they would surely have rushed up to gang up on Hulk.
"You can’t even admit defeat. You’re truly bringing shame to Asgard."
At that moment, a mocking voice came from nearby. Everyone turned and saw that the speaker was a bald, muscular man with strange markings on his head.
This man was Asgard’s executioner, Skurge, a fanatical Earth enthusiast—he had collected a large number of Earth’s hot weapons and special Earth movies.
A soldier who recognized Skurge stood up and cursed, "Skurge, what did you say?"
"I’m just telling the truth. What is so strange about an Earthling defeating Thor?"
Skurge sneered. "Earth is incredibly powerful now. Warriors like Hulk are everywhere."
Someone cursed, "Incredibly powerful? Hmph, Earthlings are just a bunch of natives. How strong could they possibly be?"
Skurge said disdainfully, "What ancient history are you living in? Earth rose long ago. Earth is stronger than Asgard now."
The soldiers flew into a rage and roared, "Nonsense! How could Earth possibly be stronger than Asgard?"
"Why not?"
Skurge asked, "Setting everything else aside, the Blood God alone is enough to suppress all of Asgard."
