Zola War God was powerful, but his strength lay only in his Power Flow. He was stronger than either Tony or Steve alone, but when facing the two of them together in Combination Synchronization Mode, he was at a considerable disadvantage.

Under their relentless assault, Zola War God had already been torn apart and was on the verge of complete destruction. That was when the unexpected happened.

Zola suddenly piloted the War God around and fled back into the War Fortress that had long since been abandoned.

Tony and Steve joined forces and charged at the War Fortress again, but as soon as they approached, an incredibly thick Astral Energy barrier rose over its surface, even more exaggerated than the barrier Zola War God had possessed while at the core.

"Tony, I really have to thank you!" Dr. Zola’s voice came from inside the War Fortress. "In just these few days, you’ve given me two such wonderful ideas. In consideration of your genius mind, if you surrender now, I’m willing to accept you into Hydra!"

"Wow, what gave you the courage? Those rats that crawled into the War Fortress?"

During the earlier battle, Tony and Steve had noticed that large numbers of Magnetic Field Warriors had entered the War Fortress, but neither of them had paid much attention. Only now did they realize that Dr. Zola had used these ordinary soldiers to complete his plan without them noticing.

When Dr. Zola built the War Fortress, he had left a platform at every key location. Now, a Magnetic Field Warrior stood on each of those platforms, pressing both hands against a strange device in front of them and injecting all their Magnetic Field Force into it. The devices then collected and concentrated that Magnetic Field Force into a massive energy pool, which Zola War God at the core could use as a unified power source.

This enormous super Astral Energy barrier could only be sustained by gathering the energy of all the Magnetic Field Warriors and then amplifying it through the War Fortress.

Tony and Steve struck the Astral Energy barrier simultaneously. The thick barrier trembled violently under the impact, but after a moment, it returned to calm without shattering.

With that probing attack, Tony immediately saw through the War Fortress’s true nature. He then unleashed his verbal barrage and began mocking Dr. Zola.

"Heh, a robot’s creativity really is pathetic!"

"Losers can only copy what others have done!"

"What kind of lousy War Fortress is this? It’s nothing more than a gigantic Strong Magnetic Armor!"

"You got a bunch of useless people to link up and call it Combination Synchronization?"

"Do you think this is just batteries wired in parallel?"

"Nanometer Combination Synchronization Mode isn’t a technology you can understand just by taking a glance at it!"

Tony kept firing off taunts while he and Steve struck the Astral Energy barrier again and again, making it tremble nonstop. Yet the barrier stubbornly held firm and refused to break.

"Hmph!" Tony snorted unhappily. Sharing a tacit understanding with Steve, the two began charging up their power together.

A moment later, one extended his left palm while the other extended his right. Their palms faced each other in parallel as two streams of power shot out from them, winding around each other in a spiral. Once the two forces converged and spun at maximum speed, they both roared, lunged forward, and unleashed a devastating attack.

"Take this!"

"Twin Polarity Heart Drill!"

"Break for me!"

This move borrowed the Combination Synchronization Mode to fuse all the Magnetic Field Force of the two men together. It was a divine technique that combined Magnetic Field Force, Complete State, and Power Flow into one.

Inside the War Fortress, Dr. Zola had merely crudely unified the power of these Magnetic Field Warriors, then used the War Fortress, this giant Strong Magnetic Armor, to amplify its Magnetic Field Force.

Against a divine technique like the Twin Polarity Heart Drill, the thick Astral Energy barrier held for only a brief moment before exploding apart with a thunderous boom.

"Ah, what a pity. I thought I could preserve these useless people!"

Dr. Zola sighed, but still said proudly, "Although I truly don’t yet know how to combine the power and Complete State of different Magnetic Field Warriors, my research into Power Flow is absolutely second to none!"

Inside the War Fortress, the structures suddenly writhed and transformed, swallowing the Magnetic Field Warriors stationed on the various platforms and serving as human shield generators.

The change came without warning. The Magnetic Field Warriors had been working hard to maintain the energy supply, never imagining that Dr. Zola would suddenly turn on them. They had no chance to resist before the entire force was wiped out.

"Ah…" The screams of the Magnetic Field Warriors rang out throughout the War Fortress, but after only a short while, those cries completely vanished. In their place, the shattered Astral Energy barrier suddenly rose again.

"Tsk!" Tony curled his lip disdainfully. "You’re just drinking poison to quench your thirst!"

"If we can blow you up once, we can do it a second time!"

The two charged their power again and unleashed another Twin Polarity Heart Drill, but astonishingly, the Astral Energy barrier held this time!

Tony refused to believe it. He fired several more attacks in succession, but all he saw was the Astral Energy shaking, never breaking.

"That’s impossible!"

"How did you do that?"

Tony’s eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets.

"Hahaha…" Dr. Zola laughed wildly. "You still don’t understand the essence of Magnetic Field Rotation!"

"Magnetic Field Rotation is the power of a Life Magnetic Field! Since that’s the case, what could be greater or more powerful than life itself?"

"I’ve turned all these thousands of Magnetic Field Warriors into Human Life Batteries!"

"Every one of your attacks is merely a battle!"

"But every one of their defenses burns their lives!"

"I’m constantly using Magnetic Field Force to perform Cellular Reconstruction on them, allowing them to stay alive indefinitely and continue serving as my fuel!"

"Hahaha…"

Feeling that victory was already within his grasp, Dr. Zola threw back his head and laughed.

Since the battle began, Steve had not said a single word. But now he was furious.

Bucky’s death had left him in unbearable pain and utterly disheartened, robbing him of any desire to speak or fight. But Dr. Zola’s treatment of human lives as worthless weeds finally enraged him. He once again recovered his fighting spirit and remembered the resolve he had possessed when he struck down Bucky.

"Bastard!"

"What do you take human lives for?"

"You recklessly clone other people and manipulate the clones like dolls!"

"You hypnotize people, alter their memories, and toy with their lives!"

"You won’t even spare your own people, turning them into Human Life Batteries and squeezing them dry like firewood!"

The angrier Steve became, the more his pent-up emotions erupted, pushing his Magnetic Field Force higher once again. As he advanced, Tony, who was in Combination Synchronization with him, also began to soar in realm.
