I Did It!
For the first time in his life, Shigeo Kageyama craved greater power. Losing control, falling into darkness—it did not matter. He wanted to truly… kill the person before him!
The kind-hearted boy now harbored genuine malice, the absolute evil of wanting to slay another living being.
Riiip!
The black-and-white Spirit World warped. The surrounding buildings and clouds in the sky twisted into utterly unrecognizable forms.
Even Shigeo Kageyama’s "divine body," formed from unparalleled psychic power, had become completely distorted.
Within the warped world, only one thing still retained its original appearance.
Or rather, only one individual remained unchanged.
The bald man in a simple yellow bodysuit seemed utterly unaware as the Spirit World Evil Lord held him in its palm, as the warped space continuously squeezed his body, and as the shattered cities of the Spirit World crashed into him.
Saitama merely watched the black silhouette that seemed to hate him to the core.
He did not know the other person, nor had he ever encountered this kind of "monster."
It was a monster, yet it lacked that peculiar quality monsters possessed.
But it definitely was not human either.
"What… are you?"
Saitama asked calmly. He was not angered by the other party attacking him. In truth, anger had not surfaced within Saitama for a very long time.
So long that he had begun to forget such an emotion even existed.
Saitama knew that the invisible supermarket had affected him greatly. He had probably lost quite a few emotions, which was why he wanted even more to ask why this person disliked him.
Unlike that green-haired brat, this guy before him probably disliked him enough to want him dead. That was hatred.
Saitama spread his hands, and Shigeo Kageyama felt an unparalleled force emerge. The next instant, the psychic power in his palms shattered.
That terrifying psychic power, enough to squeeze an entire city into a tiny ball, cracked apart with nothing more than the other man spreading his hands.
This power…
Shigeo Kageyama became increasingly certain that the man had not lied to him. It had not been an illusion. It was the future he had seen through the combination of that man’s power and his own.
Without question, the person before him possessed the power to destroy the world.
A truly unmatched violence that neither he nor anyone else could stop.
With such power, why had things turned out that way…
Shigeo Kageyama had once feared his own power, believing that excessive strength would only bring misfortune. Now, Saitama’s power made him tremble all the more.
There was nothing beneath Saitama’s feet. He had no foothold at all and began to fall. He reached out, trying to grab something, but with a mere thought from Shigeo Kageyama, everything shattered.
Saitama fell endlessly, as though he had dropped into a black hole.
Watching Saitama sink deeper and deeper into the Spirit World vortex he had thrown him into, Shigeo Kageyama did not relax in the slightest. Instead, he pressed both hands down.
"Sink here forever."
The pitch-black space began to overlap, and the depression in the Spirit World was being repaired. To bury Saitama, Shigeo Kageyama did not hesitate to shrink the entire Spirit World, folding it layer upon layer.
These were no longer simple spatial walls. After layer upon layer of spatial barriers were stacked together, it was nearly equivalent to completely separating two worlds. Given enough time, such barriers could become a new planar crystal wall, eventually turning the Spirit World and the void Saitama occupied into entirely different planes.
Saitama covered his nose. The air was gradually vanishing, and gravity had dropped to an extremely low level. Darkness surrounded him, and he could no longer see anything.
Though Saitama still did not understand why the other party hated him, he did not want to remain in a place like this. So he raised his right hand and threw a punch upward.
"Who the hell are you?!"
Bang!
Like a volcanic eruption, spirit energy burst forth for the first time like a flood and a hurricane. The Spirit World ground that had just been folded up was punched through in an instant.
That force did not stop. With another bang, sunlight from beyond the world appeared. From the bottom of the folded Spirit World, Saitama punched through the entire Spirit World, exposing the real world once more.
Just as Shigeo Kageyama was about to relax a little, Spiritual Perception immediately warned him. The trembling that rose vertebra by vertebra from his tailbone was a sensation he had never experienced before.
He turned around in horror and saw the bald man leap up from underground with one fist raised.
"Ugh!"
Skylark let out a muffled groan. The sudden rush of air and the Spirit World’s energy storm slammed into him together, nearly twisting his features out of shape. He could no longer breathe amid an impact of this magnitude.
Bai Cangshu’s hair flew wildly around him. The Cocoon of Greed covering his body was nearly dispersed completely by the aftershock of that punch. The lean flesh on his face trembled without pause, twisting his handsome features until he looked almost like a monster.
Yet Bai Cangshu felt nothing and cared even less. His pupils only trembled continuously, and even the God’s Right Eye between his brows had opened.
He wanted to see clearly. He wanted to witness the true nature of that punch!
Thump thump thump thump!
Bai Cangshu’s heartbeats merged into one. In the extreme state of Eighth-Order Instant, he prepared to activate Limit Break Spiral again, despite the enormous danger of using this talent too frequently.
But if he could discern the secret behind Saitama’s power, Bai Cangshu did not care in the least.
Pfft!
Blood gushed from Bai Cangshu’s nose and mouth. His whipping hair did not spread outward, nor did it begin to grow.
Damn it, spiral already!
Braving the terrifying Energy Torrent, Bai Cangshu wanted to watch the battle between these two from up close.
Riiip!
His rapidly beating heart drove the Heart of the Thunder Emperor beyond its limits. Ferocious thunder power erupted from Bai Cangshu’s body, and amid explosive peals of lightning, Bai Cangshu finally passed through the aftershock of the Spirit World’s collapse.
The trembling Shigeo Kageyama happened to sense this newly appeared power. His eyes remained fixed on Saitama, but his psychic senses instinctively swept over Bai Cangshu.
Suddenly, his body froze. To him, Bai Cangshu without Limit Break Spiral activated looked astonishingly familiar.
"It’s you…"
Roar!
He suddenly made some sound, but as psychic energy began to shriek, Bai Cangshu’s eardrums could not receive it at all. With a bang, it blew through his eardrums.
Bai Cangshu’s mind went blank. His senses instantly fell into chaos, and his brain had already been injured.
Saitama turned his head at this moment, looking at the scene in surprise. He did not know why this fellow, who seemed to harbor little malice toward humans, had suddenly attacked the weak Mercenary Tao.
But no matter what, Mercenary Tao was a hero who had saved many people. Saitama lowered his head, drew his fist back to his waist, and threw a punch at the enormous black silhouette.
Inside a small house in Z-City, the long-haired Eternal Destiny suddenly tossed aside the old game console in his hands, pushed open the window, and laughed loudly.
"Ha, I did it!"
