I Want to See How He Throws Me into Hell!
All right, The Ancient One’s intimidation factor was still enormous.
After that one line she suddenly dropped, Noah was so frightened that he hurriedly closed WeChat.
The others, meanwhile, watched in amusement as Noah’s profile picture suddenly went dark and remained absent for days. Kate even took several screenshots and posted them to Moments.
"How terrifying is the Sorcerer Supreme’s intimidation?"
With that title and several screenshots, it was reposted over ten thousand times in no time!
With this super chat app, the distance between lower-ranking and high-ranking mages could be said to have narrowed somewhat.
Ordinary mages happily watched how the Sanctum Guardian, Hogwarts’ pride, Ravenclaw’s pride, Sir Noah Finneal, had been so frightened by a single sentence from the Sorcerer Supreme that he did not even dare log on.
While marveling at the Sorcerer Supreme’s intimidating presence, they also marveled at how genuinely close Mr. Phileas and his classmates were.
Kate’s screenshots had not merely captured that one sentence from The Ancient One. He had also captured their earlier conversation.
By conventional standards, Kate and the others’ words and behavior could be considered questioning a high-ranking mage, which was an extremely rude and presumptuous thing to do.
Yet Mr. Phileas had not gotten angry over it. Though he had seemed rather speechless, that kind of friendship and bond was deeply enviable.
Many ordinary mages thought of the troublesome friends they had had in their younger days. In the past, it would probably have been difficult to stay in touch.
But now, everyone had their own group chats, making it incredibly convenient to contact one another.
WeChat had brought far too many changes to the magical world. It could be said that not a single mage could do without it anymore.
Of course, everyone now knew that one person probably had no use for the thing. That fellow was desperately preparing to become an Archmage.
Leaving that unlucky fellow aside, another unlucky fellow could not help letting out a sigh of relief as he watched the plane slowly land.
That unfortunate man was Tony. After Noah had tossed him aside, he had fought alone against a group of terrorists for dozens of minutes before finally escaping that damned cave alive.
Unfortunately, his armor had ultimately turned into a pile of scrap metal due to all sorts of problems.
Tony had no choice but to find his own way out of the desert. Fortunately, his luck was not too bad. After being roasted by the sun in the desert for most of the day, that damned explosion eventually drew military helicopters to him.
Yes, Tony had been rescued. He had finally been truly rescued.
However, on the way back, Tony kept wondering whether he should even have taken a plane. According to the plots of certain novels, if Death wanted to have a chat with him, an air crash would be the perfect way to do it.
He remained silent on the plane, and James Rhodes assumed Tony had been traumatized, so he did not disturb him throughout the journey.
If Rhodey had known that this guy’s mind was full of thoughts like, Will the plane explode? and Will I die in a crash? he probably would have kicked him off the plane himself.
Fortunately, they landed safely. The moment he stepped off the plane, Tony made a decision—he would shut down Stark’s weapons division!
He no longer had any doubts about that mysterious young man’s words, because he had seen it with his own eyes!
"Although Howard and that bastard were doing the same thing, that mysterious guy was right. He was saving the world, while I was stirring up chaos in it!"
After making that decision, Tony demanded a press conference the moment he saw his secretary, Pepper Potts, instead of going to the hospital or anything like that.
This decision made Potts extremely frustrated, but she ultimately went along with it.
After arriving at the Stark Industries building, Tony walked toward the podium while chewing on a hamburger.
However, he did not choose to stand on it. Instead, he squatted on the floor, pulled another hamburger from his pocket, and began recounting his experiences while eating.
"Good to see you, Obadiah." Seeing that everyone else had crouched down as well, Tony spoke directly. "You know, I never got to say goodbye to my dad."
Obadiah patted Tony’s shoulder in a friendly manner. Tony took a bite of his burger and continued, "I didn’t make it in time to see my dad one last time. There are some things I want to ask him. I want to ask how he felt about what his company had done."
At this point, Tony set down his hamburger. "He founded this company to stop war, but now the war is over, and there was one thing he never did. I want to ask whether he ever felt conflicted, whether he ever doubted himself."
"I witnessed a young man being killed," Tony sighed. "Killed by weapons I made to protect them. I realized I had become part of a privileged class that enjoyed everything while bearing no responsibility."
The moment Tony finished speaking, all the reporters realized that this press conference was likely going to be highly unusual. They hurriedly began firing off questions.
At that moment, Tony caught sight of someone—a person etched deeply into his memory.
"It’s him!"
Tony looked carefully and discovered that beside his secretary, Pepper Potts, stood someone he found exceptionally familiar!
Even though that man’s hairline had receded considerably, Tony could never forget him. He was the man who had broken into Tony’s home with that mysterious young man four years ago!
"Why is he here?" Tony’s body trembled slightly, but he quickly guessed something.
He was holding this press conference to shut down the weapons division.
It could be said that the words of those two strangers from four years ago had indeed been proven true, and now he was about to make new decisions as well!
Tony sneered inwardly. You like watching, do you?
Then watch closely!
Coming back to himself, Tony stood up and slowly walked toward the podium. Yet his gaze remained fixed on that man with the receding hairline the entire time.
Standing on the podium and looking at all the reporters crouched on the floor, Tony suddenly smiled.
"I realized that what I can contribute to this world is definitely not making things that explode."
Taking a deep breath, Tony’s expression grew much more serious. "For that reason, I have decided to shut down Stark International’s weapons manufacturing division. This decision takes effect immediately!"
With Tony’s declaration, the entire press conference instantly descended into chaos.
But Tony paid no attention to any of it. His gaze remained fixed solely on that all-too-familiar man, especially when he saw the astonishment on his face.
That made Tony feel immensely satisfied. He did not even take Obadiah seriously when the man came forward in an attempt to stop him.
After saying that, Tony walked directly off the stage. He was Stark Industries’ largest shareholder, so he did not care what the other shareholders thought.
Tony headed straight toward that familiar man. When he reached the man, who still looked somewhat stunned, Tony suddenly smiled.
It was the smile of a victor. Combined with the man’s astonished expression, Tony felt that he had won.
"What do you think? Didn’t expect me to do this, did you?" Tony suddenly asked in a mysterious whisper.
"Uh, I really didn’t." The man Tony recognized nodded woodenly. "But I came here—"
"Are you here to take me away, or to retrieve the smart terminal?" Tony interrupted before the man could finish.
"Tony, you two know each other?" Pepper asked in surprise. "That’s great. He’s from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division. His name is Phil Coulson, and he’s an agent."
That was right. The man Tony found so familiar was Coulson!
Honestly, Coulson was feeling incredibly awkward right now. He had noticed Tony’s gaze earlier and had immediately realized that he had been recognized.
He had actually come here to ask Tony about that metal armor of his. He simply had not expected Tony to misunderstand something.
Honestly, Coulson himself had not expected Tony’s memory to be so good. When they had met back then, it had been pitch-black, and Noah, the ultimate Boss, had also been there. Most people really would not have noticed him.
The moment Tony heard Pepper’s words, he fell silent.
Coulson was equally awkward. He had never expected a joke from back then to lead to Tony shutting down Stark’s weapons division today, and he fell silent as well.
For a moment, the two middle-aged men stared deeply into each other’s eyes, making the scene incredibly awkward.
After a long while, Tony slowly spoke. "Back then, how did you people get in?"
"I can’t say it either." Coulson wore a constipated expression. "All I can say is that my situation is pretty similar to yours."
Tony nodded in understanding. It was the first time he had encountered a situation where someone simply could not say something.
Because of that, he had specifically undergone all sorts of psychological evaluations during his regular checkups. He had even investigated himself after creating J.A.R.V.I.S., but in the end, he had not found a damn thing.
That feeling was truly awful. Tony understood it perfectly well. You clearly knew something, yet you could not even let out a fart about it.
After finally coming up with some bizarre methods, he discovered that compared with his ideas, his actions had become even more bizarre.
"Is he human?" After another stretch of silence, Tony asked again.
"Yes, but damn it, he is human. That’s not a problem." Coulson tried to answer, only to discover that he could not even say words like "not an ordinary person."
"All right, what did you come here for?" Tony sighed and asked listlessly. Had he gotten worked up over nothing?
"I came here to ask about the specific details of your escape," Coulson answered honestly. After thinking for a moment, he continued, "And he also wants to take back his belongings."
"Take back his belongings?" Tony immediately flared up. "I invented that! Damn it, where is that guy?"
"I’m sorry, I can’t tell you. But we’ll take you to him. Oh, and that gentleman also brought your friend back."
"My friend? Yinsen?"
"Yes. Do you want to see him?"
"Of course. But before that, I’ll go with you to meet the gentleman you mentioned. I want to see how he plans to throw me into Hell again!"
