As expected, Megatron encountered unprecedented resistance in the process of devouring the Self Stone. The progress was extremely slow. The Self Stone was the ultimate source of the six conventional Stones. Although it was, like the Rhythm Stone and Plot Gem, a unique Infinity Stone, the troublesome part was that the Self Stone was not an inanimate object. This thing had been alive from the very beginning. Even with Donnie having destroyed most of the Self Stone, the process was still agonizing for Megatron.
