Ice Princess Christine’s Strength Must Not Be Underestimated
"My God, this has already surpassed the level of ordinary Cosmic-Level warriors!" "Adol’s Pale Extremity is simply terrifying—it’s the ultimate fusion of ice and wind!" "Luo Wen’s response was equally brilliant. His mastery of the Law of Fire is absolutely no weaker than his opponent’s Law of Ice!"
Luo Feng rose to his feet, his gaze fixed on the arena. "I’ve never seen this move from Luo Wen before. When did he master an application of the Law of Fire at this level?"
Thor was equally astonished. "This should be the result of his breakthrough last night. He combined the spatial attribute of the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade with the Law of Fire, creating an entirely new technique that integrates offense and defense."
"To create such a move at a critical moment, Luo Wen’s combat talent truly cannot be underestimated," Hong praised.
The clash of energy in the arena continued for around ten seconds. The two completely different powers of law offset one another before finally settling into silence. When the mist dispersed, the spectators saw a shocking sight:
The arena had been split in two. Adol’s side was covered in a thick layer of translucent ice, while Luo Wen’s side was scorched black, with scattered flames still burning. The two extremes intertwined in the central area, forming a strange dividing line.
Even more surprising was that both warriors were still standing. Though their auras were somewhat unsteady, it was clear that the previous clash had consumed an enormous amount of energy.
Adol took a deep breath, a trace of admiration flashing through his eyes. "Not bad. Very few people can last three seconds beneath my Pale Extremity, yet you not only blocked it, but counterattacked with considerable force."
Luo Wen pulled the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade from the ground. The glow along its blade had already dimmed considerably, clearly showing how much energy that technique had consumed. "Your fusion of two laws has indeed reached an extremely high realm, but my Starlight Sky-Rending Blade is no ordinary weapon either."
The two exchanged smiles, each seeing the desire to fight in the other’s eyes. Without another word, they moved at the same time.
Adol’s figure became a streak of blue lightning. His ice sword, carrying bone-piercing cold, stabbed straight toward Luo Wen’s throat. The strike was swift as lightning, yet contained the ultimate power of frost. It was one of the trump cards he had held in reserve.
Luo Wen shifted sideways, and the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade swept upward in a graceful arc. Flames and starlight intertwined along its edge, surging skyward like a fiery dragon.
The two met again in the center of the arena. The instant their weapons collided, a deafening metallic crash erupted, accompanied by the sounds of cracking ice and exploding flames. Powerful energy waves spread outward from the point of impact, making even the ground tremble.
"What speed!" Luo Feng exclaimed. "Adol’s Wind Law is truly formidable. This speed is already close to teleportation."
"Luo Wen’s reaction is just as astonishing," Thor commented. "He predicted Adol’s attack path in advance. That was the only reason he could make such a precise block."
Hong noticed another detail. "Luo Wen wasn’t simply defending. He launched a counterattack even as he blocked. This combat style that combines offense and defense suits the characteristics of the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade perfectly."
The battle in the arena had already reached a fever pitch. The two figures flickered constantly across the arena, every exchange accompanied by collisions of ice and fire and unceasing energy waves.
Adol’s attacks became increasingly swift. The ice-blue dagger in his hand transformed into streak after streak of cold light, almost forming an airtight net of attacks that descended upon Luo Wen. At the same time, he continuously released ice spikes and wind blades, attacking Luo Wen’s vital points from every angle.
Luo Wen, meanwhile, used the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade as his core, setting up layers upon layers of starlight defenses. At the same time, the flame shield formed by the Law of Fire continuously canceled out attacks from the Law of Ice. Even while defending, he never forgot to seek opportunities to counterattack. From time to time, the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade traced a dangerous path through the air, forcing Adol to divide his attention to deal with it.
Their battle had already surpassed the level of ordinary Cosmic-Level warriors. It was more like a duel between two Immortal-Level beings who had mastered source laws. Cheers rose and fell throughout the stands, and everyone was stunned by this high-level confrontation.
"Could these two be approaching the Immortal-Level already?" "The Black Dragon Mountain Empire and the Pale Star System have truly produced two peerless geniuses!" "It’s impossible to tell who will win—what an incomparably thrilling match!"
The battle continued for nearly half an hour, and both began to show signs of exhaustion. Adol’s attack frequency decreased, while Luo Wen’s starlight defense was no longer as airtight. Clearly, the continuous high-intensity use of law power had drained them both heavily.
"It’s time to end this." Adol suddenly stopped attacking and retreated to a safe distance. "If this continues, neither of us will be able to fight after exhausting our energy. How about one final strike to decide the victor?"
Luo Wen nodded. "That was exactly what I had in mind."
The atmosphere in the stands instantly grew tense. Everyone held their breath, waiting for the final climax of this spectacular duel. Luo Feng said quietly, "For this final strike, they’ll both bring out their strongest trump cards. This blow will determine the winner."
Thor and Hong stared intently at the arena, not daring to lose focus for even an instant. They both knew that the next moment would be the key to the entire match.
Adol took a deep breath, and the chill around him reached its peak. What drifted through the air was no longer snow, but glittering ice crystals. His ice-blue dagger became as transparent as crystal, yet it radiated a chilling cold that made hearts tremble.
"Supreme art of the Pale Star System—Eternal Freeze!"
Adol’s figure turned into a streak of blue light, moving so quickly that the naked eye could barely follow him. His dagger carried the ultimate fused power of wind and ice as it aimed straight for Luo Wen’s heart. This strike contained all of his understanding of laws and combat techniques, and its power was already close to a full-force Immortal-Level attack.
Facing such a fierce attack, Luo Wen did not panic in the slightest. He stood calmly where he was, slowly raising the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade. The halo of starlight around its blade gradually condensed as the energy of the Law of Fire continuously flowed into it.
"Starlight Sky-Rending Blade—Fire Starfall!"
The instant Adol was about to reach him, Luo Wen suddenly slashed down. The strike appeared simple, yet it contained the spatial cutting power of the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade and the extreme heat of the Law of Fire. The two powers fused perfectly, forming a blazing spatial rift that rushed toward Adol.
Their ultimate attacks collided in the center of the arena, erupting in blinding light and a deafening explosion. The powerful energy waves even caused visible ripples across the entire protective barrier. The spectators had no choice but to close their eyes to avoid being injured by the glare.
When everything settled and people opened their eyes again, they saw a scene that shocked everyone:
Adol stood on one side of the arena. His ice-blue dagger had shattered, and his right arm was covered in a thin layer of ice, clearly protecting him from the backlash. A shallow blade mark lay across his chest. Though it had not truly cut into his flesh, his clothing had been burned away, exposing the protective inner armor beneath.
Luo Wen stood on the other side of the arena, still gripping the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade, but the glow on its blade had dimmed until it was almost invisible.
"Can you still fight?" Luo Wen raised the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade, flame-like patterns faintly appearing and disappearing along its blade. Though his Mental Power had been greatly depleted, his eyes remained bright.
Adol took a deep breath. Fragments of the shattered ice-blue dagger floated before him and slowly began to reassemble. "It’s still far too early for that!" Ice crystals embedded themselves precisely into the cracks in the blade, and in the blink of an eye, the dagger was restored to its original form, its cold radiance even sharper than before.
What an interesting ability. Luo Wen secretly praised him while covertly mobilizing the last reserves of Mental Power within his body, preparing to unleash the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade’s ultimate strike.
"Wind!" Adol suddenly shouted. The chill surrounding him abruptly changed, transforming into countless wind blades too difficult for the naked eye to discern.
"Good!" Fire flashed in Luo Wen’s eyes, and a thin layer of flaming Battle Armor instantly ignited over his body.
The wind blades howled toward him. Rather than retreating, Luo Wen advanced, the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade drawing a perfect arc—
"Flame Dragon Pierces the Sky!"
A massive fire dragon roared out from the blade and collided head-on with the wind blades. Wherever the flame dragon passed, the wind blades dissolved into nothingness, yet even more wind blades surged in from every direction.
"It’s not over yet!" Adol formed seals with both hands. "Cold Wind: Extreme Freeze!"
In the stands, Thor’s eyes lit up. "That move is incredible! He actually fused the Wind Source and Ice Source perfectly!"
Hong nodded. "Indeed. The speed of the cold wind combined with the power of extreme frost integrates offense and defense. Luo Wen is in trouble this time."
Luo Feng, however, revealed a faint smile. "Don’t forget, Luo Wen still hasn’t revealed his trump card."
In the arena, wind blades and frigid air intertwined into a huge net, completely surrounding Luo Wen. The temperature plummeted, and even the air seemed on the verge of freezing.
"This ends now." Confidence flashed in Adol’s eyes.
"Is that so?" Luo Wen suddenly smiled. "Then let me show you what the ultimate form of fire truly is!"
The Starlight Sky-Rending Blade shot high into the air, and its blade erupted with an unprecedentedly scorching light. "Prairie Fire: Return to Oneness!"
In an instant, the temperature across the entire battlefield rose sharply. The flames around Luo Wen were no longer ordinary red, but had taken on an almost incandescent white color.
"This is an advanced application of the Law of Fire!" a Lord-Level warrior from Flame Martial Star cried out.
"That kid actually compressed the energy of fire to such an extent!" Another powerhouse revealed a look of shock.
The white-hot flames transformed into countless tiny points of starlight, every one of them containing astonishing energy. These points rapidly spread out,
colliding head-on with Cold Wind: Extreme Freeze.
Boom!
A deafening explosion rang out, and the entire battlefield was instantly swallowed by dazzling light.
"What happened?" The spectators all closed their eyes. The light was simply too blinding.
When the radiance faded, the battlefield was covered in traces of ice and fire intertwined. Adol was half-kneeling on the ground, his clothes torn to shreds. He had clearly suffered serious injuries. Luo Wen remained standing, but he too was panting heavily, and the light on the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade had almost completely gone out.
"Concede," Luo Wen said slowly. "You no longer have the strength to continue fighting."
Adol raised his head, unwillingness flashing in his eyes. "I—I haven’t lost yet!"
He abruptly rose to his feet, and an astonishing chill suddenly erupted from his entire body. "Burning Ice Essence!"
"He’s gone mad!" In the stands, an Ice Law powerhouse cried out. "Burning source power—he’ll suffer severe damage to his vitality even if he wins!"
An ice-blue halo appeared around Adol. This was the manifestation of him unleashing every bit of Ice Source power within his body. The temperature dropped sharply again, and even frost began to form on the battlefield barrier.
"If that’s the case—" Luo Wen took a deep breath and no longer held back. "Law of Fire: Bloom!"
Boom!
The two terrifying energies collided once again. This time, their power far surpassed every previous clash. The entire battlefield shook violently, and the protective barrier groaned under the strain.
"Reinforce the barrier, quickly!" the referee shouted. Dozens of Lord-Level powerhouses acted simultaneously, finally confining the fluctuations within the battlefield.
When the dust settled, Adol lay on the ground, having completely lost his ability to fight. Luo Wen was still standing, but his condition was extremely poor as well. He had already recalled the Starlight Sky-Rending Blade, and his entire body swayed as if he might collapse at any moment.
"The winner, Luo Wen of the Black Dragon Mountain Empire!" the referee announced loudly.
The entire venue instantly erupted!
"That was incredible!" "As expected of the dark horse of the Genius Battle!" "His use of the Law of Fire was simply miraculous!"
In the Black Dragon Mountain Empire’s viewing area, Lord Brolin excitedly rose to his feet. "Well done, Luo Wen!"
Thor burst into laughter. "See? I told you the kid had some real skill!"
Hong praised him. "His comprehension of the Law of Fire has already reached a very high level. Even I feel inferior to him."
Luo Feng smiled as well. "He’s indeed improved at an astonishing pace. But in the next match, it’ll be my turn."
On the other side, the atmosphere in the Cold Star Empire’s viewing area was somewhat subdued.
"Adol did his best," the Cold Star Empire’s team leader sighed. "I never expected that Luo Wen would be so powerful."
"Now it’s my turn." A young woman rose to her feet. She wore snow-white Battle Armor and held an ice-crystal spear. She was the Cold Star Empire’s second genius—Ice Princess Christine.
On the battlefield, the medical team carried Adol away. With assistance from the staff, Luo Wen also made his way down from the arena.
"You’ve worked hard." Luo Feng handed him a recovery potion. "I’ll take the next match."
Luo Wen nodded. "Be careful. Ice Princess Christine’s strength cannot be underestimated."
In the resting area, Thor excitedly analyzed the battle just now. "That kid’s final move was absolutely incredible! He compressed the Law of Fire to its limit, then released it in the form of Prairie Fire. It had both fire’s explosive force and wind’s mobility!"
Hong added, "And his control over telekinetic weapons has reached a new height. The Starlight Sky-Rending Blade is not merely a weapon anymore; it has become a vessel for law power."
"However, he also expended a great deal," Luo Feng analyzed calmly. "That battle exhausted eighty percent of his Mental Power. If Adol hadn’t made that final desperate gamble, it would have been hard to say who would win."
Luo Wen slowly returned to the stands, fine beads of sweat still covering his forehead. His fierce battle with Adol had consumed enormous amounts of energy, but he could not conceal the excitement in his eyes.
"Well done!" Thor was the first to greet him, heavily patting Luo Wen on the shoulder. "That final Prairie Fire move got even my blood boiling!"
"You flatter me." Luo Wen accepted the energy drink Hong handed him and drained it in one gulp. "Adol truly was very strong. If he hadn’t made that final desperate gamble and burned his source power, it really would have been hard to say who would win."
