Immortal Path: Grand Demonic Spear
The violent explosion became even more terrifying within the basement’s cramped confines.
Flames shot skyward.
Nakime, caught at the center of it, was instantly blown completely apart.
Even Kibutsuji Muzan, who was farthest away, only had time to grow countless tumor-like tissues in front of himself before the searing blast engulfed him.
The space was simply too confined—an ideal killing range for a High-Explosive Grenade.
"Ah!"
Within the raging flames, Kibutsuji Muzan let out a pained howl.
Kokushibo and Doma, however, simply allowed their bodies to shatter and regenerate. One possessed an unwavering will to fight, while the other could not feel pain at all.
Suddenly, both looked up at the same time. Through the grayish-white smoke, where the heat had yet to dissipate, a tall figure came crashing down with savage force.
For once, Doma’s eyes widened, imitating the emotion called "shock," which he himself could not feel.
"This human… is a madman, isn’t he?"
Kokushibo’s expression remained calm. From their brief exchange earlier, he had already sensed that this human possessed extraordinary talent.
Boom!
Bai Cangshu landed, golden ripples flowing from both hands like water and spreading outward without end.
The mere sight of that power put Kokushibo and Doma on guard.
Under the clear perception of the two Man-eating Demons, Bai Cangshu raised his left foot high before stomping down violently.
Bang!
Kibutsuji Muzan’s heart jolted. Thinking a second explosion had occurred, he once again wrapped himself in tumor-like flesh. But Bai Cangshu had already vanished in an instant, hurtling madly toward Doma through the scorching smoke.
Doma narrowed his eyes. He had no human emotions; he did not feel fear, pain, or joy.
Yet he understood that there was only one reason for the human’s actions.
This person believed he was the easiest demon to kill.
Ha~
Doma nearly laughed in delight. He did not know how many humans he had eaten, nor how many Demon Slayer Swordsmen known as Hashira he had killed.
Yet he had never expected that one day, a human would consider him weak and choose him as the first target to hunt.
Boom!
Within the cramped space, the air currents roared like a hurricane from the sheer speed of movement.
With a wave of one hand, Doma scattered countless tiny ice flowers like misty rain. In an instant, it was like a blue freezing shower, clearing away the high-temperature smoke.
Blood Demon Art: Scattered Lotuses!
Bzzzt!
Amid a sudden roar in his ears, Doma felt an immense force strike from beside his head. The next moment, his body was flung uncontrollably into the air. As his rainbow-colored pupils trembled, Doma finally focused his gaze.
A human whose face and arms were covered in blisters from the intense heat had one hand pressed against Doma’s head, grabbing him violently before turning and smashing him into the ground.
Bang!
The floor shook again.
Doma had no ability to feel pain, but at that moment, with his face seeming to melt away, he had the illusion that he was about to float off.
Doma raised the iron fan in his hand, but the next moment, Bai Cangshu exhaled scorching white vapor. His right hand seemed to vanish as it instantly seized the iron fan and, carried by terrifying force, drove it backward into Doma’s chest.
Clang!
A sword cry rang out as Kokushibo leaped into the air. Moon Breathing merged with his Blood Demon Art. Before he even swung his blade, its intense sharpness seemed to slice open Bai Cangshu’s skin from afar.
But Bai Cangshu paid it no heed. He still raised his fist, ripples surging around it, poised to bring it down in a punch.
Doma likewise did not fear death. He had only paused slightly because Bai Cangshu had interrupted his attack. In the blink of an eye, countless ice spears descended from above.
Bai Cangshu abruptly changed his fist into a claw, grabbed Doma, and effortlessly wielded him like a weapon as he spun around.
Bzzzt!
Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!
A vast number of ice spears were smashed apart by Doma’s own body. The momentum continued unabated as he crashed straight toward Kokushibo.
Kokushibo lowered his eyelids, his eyes utterly calm as his sword intent erupted.
Moon Breathing: Fourteenth Form: Calamity: Heaven’s Full Moon!
Kokushibo completely ignored everything else in the basement and unleashed a devastating sword strike.
Countless crescent-shaped sword lights converged into a massive vortex of sword force, slashing outward in all directions.
Doma, who bore the brunt of it, was instantly cut into several pieces. Yet a smile still hung on his half-melted face, his blood already flowing everywhere.
This space was about to become a toxic burial ground.
His Blood Demon Art was the nemesis of Breathing Style swordsmen!
Bai Cangshu exhaled another stream of white vapor.
The massive amount of air he had inhaled above had now been expelled in two breaths, leaving him with little time to move.
But…
It was enough!
Bai Cangshu’s heart was beating so rapidly that he could barely hear it anymore.
His blood seemed ready to burst through his veins.
Muscles bulged all over Bai Cangshu’s body, swelling to an unbelievable extent.
As blood surged through his entire body, everything in Bai Cangshu’s pale eyes seemed to slow down. Whether it was Doma, suspended in midair in several pieces yet still extending his hands to manipulate his blood into ice-blue crystals, or Kokushibo, continuously swinging Kokushibo’s Blade with an unending sword momentum.
Every movement appeared like slow motion in Bai Cangshu’s eyes.
Bai Cangshu himself was no exception. He felt as though he were trapped in an invisible swamp.
Every movement carried an immense burden.
Not enough. This still wasn’t enough!
Bai Cangshu focused so completely that he failed to notice the intense aura others had sensed from him due to his concentration gradually disappearing.
Bai Cangshu stared at Kokushibo. The other man’s muscles, blood, and even breathing rhythm had all become incomparably clear.
He was no longer merely sensing the flow of his own blood; he had also begun to grasp the flow of Kokushibo’s blood. That vortex-like, intricate sword momentum gradually became clearer and clearer in Bai Cangshu’s eyes.
Boom!
The next instant, a terrifying sword momentum swept through the surroundings. The basement, which had originally been fairly sturdy, collapsed with a thunderous crash, and thick dust swallowed everything.
Kokushibo frowned.
The Battle Aura had disappeared…
"Ah!"
A miserable cry rang out.
It was Nakime!
Kokushibo instantly realized what had happened. He instinctively turned and slashed toward Nakime, his sword momentum curving like a crescent moon.
Pfft!
The sword wind instantly cut through the smoke, but the sight revealed was Kibutsuji Muzan drawing Nakime into his own body. More than half of Nakime’s body had already been devoured.
"Ha~"
Whoosh!
Kokushibo felt as though a wind had risen behind him, but he knew perfectly well that it was merely some creature expelling all the stale air from its lungs.
Bai Cangshu exhaled his final breath of stale air, then inhaled deeply. Amid Doma’s cruel smile, he drew in the ice crystals tainted with Doma’s blood as well.
Bai Cangshu now stood over two meters tall, the muscles across his body seeming ready to explode, his veins bulging distinctly.
But what caught Kokushibo’s attention was that the blisters previously scalded onto Bai Cangshu’s skin by the high heat, as well as the wounds cut by his sword wind, had all completely vanished.
Ripples spread from his two fists like a pair of fluttering ribbons.
"Muzan, Doma and Kokushibo want to fight me to the death, yet you’re secretly trying to run away, aren’t you?"
Bai Cangshu held his right fingers together like a blade. The ripples were stirred into disorder and began shaking violently.
Creak, creak, creak…
Terrifying muscles compressed inch by inch. Bai Cangshu’s nearly continuous heartbeat rang clearly in the ears of the Man-eating Demons.
The next instant, golden light shot through the entire underground space like a spear several meters long.
Immortal Path: Grand Demonic Spear!
Boom!
