The Augmentation Heavenly King’s expression changed. "Please wait a moment. I will report this to His Majesty."

Su Yu withdrew his aura and nodded slightly. The Augmentation Heavenly King immediately turned and ran toward Lingxiao Palace.

Before long, the Augmentation Heavenly King returned and made an inviting gesture. "Sir, please. His Majesty is waiting for you in the Imperial Study."

Su Yu nodded, then followed the Augmentation Heavenly King through the Southern Heavenly Gate and into the Imperial Study behind Lingxiao Palace. "I may not remember the names of every Great Luo Golden Immortal in the immortal realm, but I at least recognize them all. Yet I have never seen you before. Why is that?" the Jade Emperor asked.

Su Yu explained, "I only arrived from the human realm today. It is normal that you do not know me."

Su Yu smiled disdainfully. "And you are?"

The old man flicked his whisk. "This poor Daoist is Huanglong Zhenren, a Great Luo Golden Immortal!"

Su Yu froze for a moment. He had not expected someone from the Chan Sect to appear here.

Su Yu smiled. "Only a Great Luo Golden Immortal? Surely you have not spent every day indulging in pleasure, have you?"

"You! Insolent brat, do you know how powerful a Great Luo Golden Immortal is? This old man reached the Great Luo Golden Immortal realm in only five thousand years!" Huanglong Zhenren said confidently.

Su Yu burst out laughing. "Pfft. Sorry, sorry. I take back what I said. You definitely did not spend every day indulging in pleasure. Your brain must have been left behind in your mother’s womb when you were born."
