Although Uchiha Yu knew full well that Meikyō's talent in areas beyond the Sharingan was also absurdly high, and that he could still become a top-tier powerhouse even without the Sharingan, having it merely sped up the process. The Sharingan represented the Uchiha, but that did not mean a gifted ninja could not become strong without one. Yet as an old-school Uchiha who had lived through the Sengoku Period, he still believed the Sharingan came above all else.
