#278

King of the Killing Species and the Silver Wolf Under the Moon (1300 Monthly Ticket Bonus, 3.5K)

Warning, Reincarnator EX051. Your act of assimilating Uchiha Madara will have a major impact on this world. The world's difficulty will undergo unpredictable changes.
You have obtained B-rank Anomaly Point ×1.
Based on your influence, related Plot Characters and quest lines will be removed from this world.

Bai Cangshu opened his eyes. After returning from the world of consciousness and seeing the clear spatial notifications, he realized that, like Moon Demon and White Face before him, he had caused an irreversible distortion to a Plot World.

If Reincarnators entered this world again in the future, they would receive a notification that, due to the influence of a certain Reincarnator, Plot Characters such as Uchiha Madara and Namikaze Minato, along with their quest lines, had been removed.

That was what Reincarnators were—a swarm of locusts that stole information for the Infinite Dimensional Space, turning world after world completely unrecognizable.

What slightly surprised Bai Cangshu was that, according to the Space’s assessment, Uchiha Madara’s disappearance had caused less change to this world than the Death God’s disappearance.

After giving it some thought, Bai Cangshu realized that Uchiha Madara probably was not all that important on the timeline. According to the predetermined course of events, even without Uchiha Madara, Obito would still gather the Tailed Beasts and activate the Infinite Tsukuyomi.

The Death God, on the other hand, contained half of the Nine-Tails’ Chakra within his body, so his impact on the timeline’s development was greater. More precisely, those two B-rank Anomaly Points were probably awarded for the half of the Nine-Tails still inside the Death God’s stomach, as well as Namikaze Minato.

The Death God himself was not all that important to the direction of this world.

"You really didn’t die…"

Orochimaru held a kunai covered in talismans. He had prepared it in case Mercenary Tao messed up and died, intending to use it to control Uchiha Madara after the Impure World Reincarnation was complete.

The strength of someone revived through Impure World Reincarnation was related to the vessel used. Orochimaru worried that, with Mercenary Tao’s terrifying strength and unusual physique, he might revive an incredibly terrifying Uchiha Madara.

Yet, to his relief and secret disappointment, Mercenary Tao looked completely normal after opening his eyes. It was as though Uchiha Madara’s soul entering his body had caused no reaction whatsoever.

Recalling the state of his teacher, Sarutobi Hiruzen, at death, he remembered that despite the charred blackness across his chest, the ring-shaped curse mark had still been visible. He had likely used the Reaper Death Seal on Mercenary Tao before his death, but… it had likewise failed.

"Next, we’ll advance at full speed. We should complete the plan to destroy the Land of Lightning’s royal capital before midnight."

Bai Cangshu spoke, and the group returned to their Summoning Beasts, racing straight toward the Land of Lightning.

The major nations of the Naruto World were clustered close together, and comparatively speaking, neither the distances nor the territories were particularly vast.

With the tireless running ability of Pain’s special Summoning Beasts, half a day was enough to cross national borders.

In a world like this, the lack of high-end transportation did not matter much.

In a cave littered with bones and corpses, golden light radiated naturally.

An Erdtree less than two meters tall swayed within the cave in the mountain wind blowing in from outside.

A figure clad in iron armor utterly out of place in the Ninja World knelt before the tree in devout prayer. Suddenly, he turned his head. In the darkness, a layer of golden light ringed his pupils.

In his vision, a familiar figure slowly walked in from outside the cave.

"You should leave, Hiranaka Minoru."

Heaven’s Will looked at the corpses and bones carpeting the ground, as well as the Erdtree that had clearly taken root and survived, and a smile appeared on her face.

She did not even look at Hiranaka Minoru as she spoke calmly.

Hiranaka Minoru slowly rose to his feet.

Clank, clank.

The unusual heavy armor unfolded, exuding an exceptionally weighty presence.

"Did you find Shikkotsu Forest?"

Hiranaka Minoru’s voice was muffled through the armor.

Looking at him like this, Heaven’s Will suddenly asked mischievously, "That’s what you care about? Aren’t you going to ask whether I saw your wife?"

The man within the armor fell silent.

From this, Heaven’s Will gained a clearer understanding of the power of the Golden Order and the complexity of human nature.

The weaker people were, the more easily they were swept up by that sense of mission. They believed themselves to be Destiny’s chosen, took on many responsibilities that did not belong to them, and were willing to abandon things they had once treasured most for that sake.

Heaven’s Will waved a hand. While continuing to infuse natural energy, she took several pieces of Tailed Beast flesh from her Backpack.

"There is no need to look for Shikkotsu Forest for now. Without those sages, we’ll use Tailed Beasts as substitutes."

"The person destined to help you will appear soon. Before this place is exposed, I hope you’ll take the initiative and head toward the Land of Lightning to find him."

Heaven’s Will did not want to delay Mercenary Tao’s mission. Unless necessary, she had no desire to provoke someone like him. In her eyes, White Face and the others had made a disastrously wrong choice.

She would rather give up some benefits to ensure that Mercenary Tao would not deliberately sabotage her mission.

Between a lose-lose situation and a win-win situation, she would always choose win-win.

Hiranaka Minoru rose to his feet. He had grown exceptionally tall, completely unlike the ninjas and ordinary people of the Ninja World.

A heavy Claymore was strapped to his back, still stained with plenty of blood.

"That Uchiha Obito you mentioned… won’t he find this place?"

Hiranaka Minoru looked at the Erdtree. The feeling of being able to entrust both his life and soul to it was truly wonderful.

He was certain that this was the future everyone in this world longed for.

There would be no threat of death. Everyone could live happily. Before the Golden Order, everything would return to how it ought to be.

"He’s probably searching the entire world for that eye of his. Unfortunately for him, by the time he finds it, the plan to gather the Tailed Beasts will already be gone."

"That’s good."

Hiranaka Minoru walked out of the cave. Looking up, he saw a full moon shining upon the earth. The Erdtree’s radiance could not yet spread across the entire world.

He had heard Heaven’s Will describe how the Erdtree would eventually shower its blessings over the whole world.

This world would not be planted with some God Tree that devoured worlds. The only thing that could grow in this world was—the Erdtree!

Hiranaka Minoru vanished into the night at the border of the Land of Fire.

Meanwhile, in distant Konoha, brutal battles continued to erupt without end.

Blood began to flow from Uchiha Shisui’s eyes. The appearance of Susanoo made both the Fourth Raikage and the Third Tsuchikage somewhat wary.

Although both had means of countering it, neither wanted to make the first move against the other.

Their villages had long been sworn enemies, and both feared that while fighting Uchiha Shisui to the death, they would be ambushed from behind by the other.

Konoha’s front lines were successfully preserved under this delicate balance.

When Uchiha Shisui retreated back into Konoha, the villagers who had once hated and feared the Uchiha excitedly came forward.

Over a day and a half of war, Uchiha Shisui’s name once again resounded across the battlefield.

Every front where he appeared saw the enemy village forces routed. Now, even with two Kage-level powerhouses attacking, Uchiha Shisui had still protected Konoha!

Uchiha Shisui forced out a smile. Blood continued to stream from the corners of his eyes, and the consumption of his ocular power was immense. He felt that he could not continue expending himself like this.

To break the deadlock, he either had to launch a surprise attack and kill the enemy village leaders, or use Kotoamatsukami to alter the Raikage’s or Tsuchikage’s thoughts…

But one option violated his Ninja Way, while the other would mean losing his trump card against Mercenary Tao and Pain.

Uchiha Shisui felt utterly exhausted. After returning to the clan grounds, Uchiha Fugaku summoned him to his home.

"Shisui, today, that Heaven’s Will showed me something."

He spread out his hand. Resting in his palm was a Golden Rune as well.

The intense vitality it emanated astonished Uchiha Shisui.

"This is…"

Fugaku’s expression was complicated.

"Perhaps this is Konoha’s only chance at victory."

Victory?!

Uchiha Shisui could hardly believe it. Konoha was already struggling to withstand the joint assault of two ninja villages. He had heard that Kirigakure and Sunagakure had also invaded the Land of Fire, and the front lines on both sides were steadily retreating.

In such a situation, could Konoha still have a chance to win?

Uchiha Fugaku suddenly closed his eyes, then opened them again. A golden sheen formed a ring around the scarlet Sharingan in his eyes.

"This is the power of the Golden Order that Miss Heaven’s Will spoke of…"

Boom!

Bai Cangshu’s body swelled completely, muscles bulging one after another as his frame grew beyond three meters tall. Yet at this moment, he felt he had not reached his limit at all.

Looking at the full moon in the sky, he felt an endless stream of power continually surging forth.

Far more exaggerated than his outwardly swollen muscles was the fact that Bai Cangshu’s current power efficiency had completely surpassed the theoretical limit of a Rank 2 combined Transcendent Trait.

Transcendent Trait: Silver Wolf Under the Moon activated (full moon): In this state, efficiency is increased fourfold.

Since awakening this Transcendent Trait, this was the first time Bai Cangshu had seen a full moon, and it was also the first time he had realized just how powerful the Silver Wolf Under the Moon was.

His usual strength of 28 points had been raised to an almost unimaginable level under this terrifying efficiency conversion.

Whoosh—

Bai Cangshu exhaled. The air compressed from his lungs nearly whipped up a gale.

Both Uchiha Itachi and Orochimaru wore expressions of horror. Mercenary Tao had been powerful enough already, but as the night deepened, he had become increasingly incomprehensible.

Bai Cangshu bent down and grabbed a handful of sand and dirt. His excessive power had caused his muscles to lose their proper coordination.

But that did not matter. Using the control ability of the Perfect Individual, he began making minute adjustments to his bones and muscles.

Bai Cangshu clenched the sand in his right hand, steadily exerting force.

Crack—

Fine cracking sounds rang out continuously. Under Orochimaru’s incomprehending gaze, Bai Cangshu kept tightening his grip. His strength was so immense that each crack was accompanied by traces of air escaping through his fingers, turning into blazing white wisps of cloud.

"Ha…"

Bai Cangshu showed a delighted expression. He enjoyed this kind of power.

He looked toward the royal capital two kilometers away. The Land of Lightning’s royal capital was built atop a massive mountain, with buildings arranged according to the terrain at varying heights.

Yet he spotted the most magnificent building at the very center with a single glance.

Crack!

He exerted force again, and the muscles on his arm began to split. Even with a physique nearing 30 points in his normal state, a body made impervious to blades and bullets by the efficiency boost began to rupture from the terrifying force he himself generated.

But Bai Cangshu continued applying force as though he felt nothing.

Blood flowed, and the wounds healed along with it, only to split open again.

Pop!

As Bai Cangshu suddenly clenched his right hand, blood spilled from his fist. When he opened it, a black stone was revealed.

The stone emitted an unusual luster. Its material form had clearly been altered.

Bai Cangshu then stepped forward, gripping the stone he had crushed into shape in his right hand as his center of gravity shifted up from beneath his feet.

Hummm—

His muscles gave off a deep sound, like a great bow pulled taut, before explosively releasing. His right arm vanished in an instant.

Hummm—Boom boom boom boom…

A chain of explosions erupted as rings of blazing white Ripples spread through the air.

Only then did a terrifying gale burst out from around Bai Cangshu, blowing Orochimaru and Uchiha Itachi two steps backward.

Orochimaru turned his head, his face pale as he looked toward the royal capital of the Land of Lightning.

Boom!

First, the Daimyo’s palace twisted and shattered from within. Then came the terrifying sound of impact, while massive clouds of dust began spreading from the royal capital.

This scene seemed no different from the legendary sight of a Tailed Beast Bomb striking the ground…

You have killed the Daimyo of the Land of Lightning and obtained 1400 Dimensional Points.
