Kingpin’s Grand Plan

Online, the trailer for "Thor" caused a huge stir. Some people interviewed Tony Stark, asking whether the movie was real and whether Iron Man had been blasted away again. Tony Stark simply darkened his face and walked off.

The reporters refused to give up and went to the military and the government, but everyone had the same attitude: no confirmation, but no denial either. They simply acted as if they had not heard anything. This made many people realize that the movie was very likely real, leaving audiences eagerly anticipating its release.

"Thor" became popular before it had even premiered. It was destined to be a massive hit!

Unlike the uproar online, the biggest sensation in New York was something else—Chief George had decided to launch New York’s first major crackdown to restore public order. It would last seven days, with Super Heroes leading the charge and criminals dealt with swiftly and severely! Under normal circumstances, the New York Police Department would have been cursed to the point of doubting its own existence for doing something like this. But after months of continuous chaos and violence, the citizens had long since reached their limit. They desperately wanted everything to change, desperately wanted to return to their old lives! So, although some citizens opposed it, the majority supported the crackdown! That was why Chief George’s proposal had passed so quickly! Thus, New York’s first major crackdown officially began. Sin Buster led a group of Super Heroes in wiping out several gangs one after another. Not only did they seize large quantities of "illegal drugs" and illegal firearms on the spot, but they also arrested countless criminals! Such results made the citizens cheer wildly and support the crackdown even more. Sin Buster became famous overnight, becoming the symbol of the New York Police Department!…

In a mysterious location somewhere in New York State, Kingpin watched the report on television and burst into laughter. "A crackdown? Good idea. Unfortunately, with just a little push, this good idea will become the worst possible bad idea!"

Wesley asked, "Kingpin, what do you plan to do?"

Kingpin said, "Mobilize our people and have them push to extend the crackdown. How can seven days be enough? It needs to last at least a month!"

"A month? That’ll drive those gangs into a corner!"

"I want them driven into a corner. If they aren’t, why would they come to me?"

Kingpin said viciously, "I am their emperor. I was in the past, I am now, and I will be in the future!"

Wesley asked, "Kingpin, it seems you have some big plan in mind?"

"I’ve endured for so long. Of course I have a big plan. Those people think they can treat me as a chess piece, but they don’t realize that they are the pieces—my pieces!"

Kingpin said, "And that damned Blood God. He actually couldn’t even be bothered to deal with me himself. I’ll make him understand that the greatest mistake of his life was not destroying me immediately!"

"Wesley, make preparations. Our kingdom will soon be established!"

Kingpin raised both hands high. His eyes suddenly became like those of a lizard, sending chills down the spine!

Wesley’s pupils also turned pale yellow as he shouted fanatically, "Hail Lizardmen!"

The seven-day crackdown caused public safety in New York to soar. The police received widespread praise, and at that point, a councilman proposed extending the crackdown to a month, completely eliminating New York City’s chronic problems and turning New York into a crime-free paradise!

Wang Bert put down the newspaper and shook his head. The New York Police Department was being so aggressive that something major was bound to go wrong sooner or later! Still, Wang Bert had no intention of meddling. If Earth was about to be destroyed, he would intervene. If humanity was about to be wiped out, he would intervene too. But a war between cops and gangs? Hell, what did that have to do with him? With that time, Wang Bert might as well ask out a few more actresses. To play Thor’s girlfriend, those actresses had been extremely enthusiastic.

"Lilith, have Spider-Man protect Chief George. We can’t let him actually die!"

Thinking of something, Wang Bert gave the order. Lilith said, "Aren’t you afraid they’ll argue?"

"What father-in-law and son-in-law don’t argue?"

Thinking of something else, Wang Bert turned back and asked, "Have all the companies under me bought insurance?"

The gang members were ultimately no match for the police. As time passed, they were gradually forced into desperation. Just then, Kingpin, New York’s former overlord, suddenly sent them invitations!

After discussing it, all the major gangs decided to attend, because only Kingpin could save them now!

At the gathering place, Kingpin did not appear immediately. Instead, he had Wesley serve them drinks. The bosses sensed nothing wrong. They drank while cursing the police as despicable and shameless, accusing them of breaking their word, and swearing they would make them pay!

As they drank, everyone gradually passed out. Kingpin appeared in the room and waited quietly! About three hours later, Zack, the boss of Brooklyn, woke up. He shook his head, looking somewhat confused. Then he saw Kingpin seated above him and rose to his feet, demanding angrily, "Kingpin, did you poison us?"

Kingpin smiled. "Welcome, my kin!"

"My kin? Are you sick? You’re white and I’m black, okay?"

Zack sneered, but then he suddenly sensed that something was wrong. He clutched his head in agony. Immediately afterward, his body rapidly grew larger, taller, and greener, bursting through his clothes. Even more shocking, a green tail grew from his back!

"Ah!" Zack let out a pained roar as his entire head transformed into a green lizard head. Looking at his own claws, he felt no anger—only excitement, the excitement of rebirth.

"Now, we are green kin!"

Kingpin laughed loudly. After obtaining Spider-Man’s blood, Bald Doctor had successfully developed the Lizard Serum! However, the serum had enormous side effects. It not only transformed people into Lizardmen, but also completely twisted their minds, making them believe they were Lizardmen!

Unfortunately, neither Kingpin nor Bald Doctor had any intention of improving the potion, because they had both injected themselves with Lizard Serum. In their eyes, there was nothing wrong with it! Before long, the others woke up as well. Under the effects of the Lizard Serum, they transformed into Lizardmen one after another!

Kingpin watched all this with satisfaction. Those high and mighty people had given him large amounts of funding so he could research the Human Enhancement Potion, never realizing that he had used all the money to produce Lizard Serum!

"From now on, we are kin!"

Kingpin rose to his feet and shouted. Then his already massive body began swelling wildly. Several seconds later, a giant Lizardman four meters tall and covered in muscles appeared before all the Lizardmen!

The Lizardmen lowered their heads in fear. In the animal kingdom, the strong ruled and the weak were prey!

"Wesley!"

Kingpin shouted in a deep voice. Wesley led people out, carrying box after box!

"Every one of these boxes contains Lizard Serum. Take the serum back to New York and turn all your trusted men into kin!"

Kingpin roared, "Seven days from now, we’ll act together. We’ll spread Lizard Serum across all of New York and turn every New Yorker into our kin! Then we’ll establish a kingdom in New York—a Lizardmen Kingdom that belongs to us! Hail Lizardmen!"

The Lizardmen froze at first, then began shouting excitedly and fanatically, "Hail Lizardmen! Hail Kingpin!"

Kingpin burst into laughter. He stared toward New York from afar, his face twisted with viciousness. Back then, I fled New York in disgrace. Seven days from now, I will return as king! Chief George, Super Heroes, Blood God, just wait for me!…

Kingpin had planned to act seven days later, but things were always subject to change. On the fifth day, an accident occurred! That night, Zack was in a warehouse in Brooklyn checking a shipment of smuggled weapons when, with a boom, the main gate exploded open. The red-and-gold Sin Buster flew inside and shouted, "You are under arrest! The charges are possession and sale of illegal firearms!"

"Sin Buster! Kill him!"

Zack cursed and ordered his men to open fire on Sin Buster while he fled toward the back with his trusted men!

As soon as Zack and the others reached the Backdoor, they saw Electro and Wind Demon waiting for them. Wind Demon glanced at Zack and frowned. "There’s something wrong with your soul. You don’t seem to be a normal person."

Electro said, "They should all be Enhanced Humans!"

"No, they aren’t Enhanced Humans. An Enhanced Human’s soul isn’t like this!"

Wind Demon said solemnly, "Max, be careful. There’s something wrong with these people."

"Relax. My strength has been improving all along!"

Electro stepped forward confidently and shouted, "Stop, or don’t blame me for being rude!"

"Die!"

Zack and the others immediately opened fire on Electro. Electro snorted coldly as crackling electricity erupted from his body, vaporizing every bullet. Then he spread his hands, and a thick bolt of electricity blasted into Zack, sending him flying!

For an Enhanced Human, that attack should have been enough to take the opponent out of the fight. But to Max’s surprise, Zack quickly climbed back to his feet. Even more strangely, the wound on his chest healed at a visible rate! "I’ll kill you!"

Zack roared as his body began to swell and turn green. Seeing their boss transform, the dozen or so underlings stopped hiding as well and transformed into Lizardmen! "What kind of monsters are these?"

Electro was startled. Wind Demon shouted, "I told you there was something wrong with them! Be careful!"

Very quickly, Zack and the others completed their transformations. Without wasting words, they charged forward. Electro hurriedly fired bolts of electricity at them, while Wind Demon hastily transformed into a raging gale and sent two Lizardmen spinning through the air! "Is that all you’ve got?"

Zack rushed in front of Electro and slashed down viciously with a claw, tearing through the air. Electro hurriedly transformed into lightning to evade, but the moment he stopped, another Lizardman lunged at him with a savage expression!

Electro thrust both hands forward, blasting the Lizardman with a massive current. The Lizardman was sent flying, but quickly climbed back up, the wound on his chest healing rapidly! Damn it, these Lizardmen are not only far stronger than Enhanced Humans, they can regenerate too.

Electro clenched his teeth inwardly. He vaguely sensed that something huge had happened.

"Your time is up, Electro!"

Zack laughed loudly and led the other Lizardmen in surrounding Electro. Even Electro began to look somewhat battered.

"Wind Demon, deal with these underlings. I’ll help Electro!"

Seeing Electro in danger, Sin Buster immediately rushed over to support him. Without wasting words, he slammed a fist viciously into a Lizardman’s chest.

The Lizardman screamed and crashed heavily at the entrance, but it was not knocked down and immediately climbed back to its feet.

There were many police officers outside the warehouse. When they saw the Lizardman, they were all startled and hurriedly drew their guns and fired. Unfortunately, police firearms were far too weak to injure a Lizardman. Every bullet was lodged in its muscles.

The Lizardman was enraged. It turned around, roared, and charged in front of a police officer. With one swipe of its claws, the officer’s head was split into several pieces! It did not stop there. The Lizardman heaved upward with both hands, flipping a police car over. Two officers were pinned beneath it, screaming in agony! The police were horrified. Some kept firing, while others turned and ran. New York’s monsters were becoming more and more terrifying!

"Damn it!"

Sin Buster flew into a rage and drew the greatsword from his back, preparing to rescue the police officers. Just then, a Lizardman charged in from the side and swept its tail toward his waist.

Sin Buster twisted aside to dodge, then swung his sword at the Lizardman. But another Lizardman suddenly rushed out and grabbed his arm with both hands.

The first Lizardman immediately slammed into Sin Buster with full force. Even Sin Buster was sent flying, crashing to the ground with a bang.

"Sin Buster is nothing special!"

The two Lizardmen charged over laughing loudly. Zack shouted excitedly, "Kill them all! Leave no one alive!"

"Kill them! We’ve been sick of these Super Heroes and cops for a long time!"

The other Lizardmen shouted as well, as if they had already won.

"Don’t get so cocky. We’re only getting started!"

Sin Buster flew into the air. He first raised his left hand and unleashed the Arc Pulse Cannon, blasting the Lizardman on the left away. Then he swung the greatsword in his right hand with all his strength, disemboweling the other Lizardman! The Lizardman roared in pain, but it did not lose its fighting ability and swept Sin Buster away with its tail.

Sin Buster steadied himself in midair and saw three or four Lizardmen charging toward him. Worse yet, another two Lizardmen had rushed outside and were massacring the police officers! "This can’t continue! Max, hit them hard!"

Damon inside Sin Buster roared as blazing flames erupted across his entire body and rapidly spread over Sin Buster!

Sin Buster rapidly transformed amid the flames, becoming even more imposing and ferocious! Ghost Rider had reappeared in New York!
