Lanterns Reluctant to Part with Allen

Arthur Ross Planet.

The Annihilation Swarm’s five command fleets were ready.

Unlike the Starship Bugs, which were biological warships, these were genuine steel warships.

"Your Majesty, the signal has suddenly stopped."

Inside the observation tower, the Annihilator had been waiting for his subordinates to calculate the coordinate channel data.

Upon suddenly hearing that the signal had been cut off, he could not help showing great disappointment.

Without successfully establishing a data model, rashly opening a Dimensional Channel would inevitably lead them into a spacetime turbulent current. The only result would be the total annihilation of the entire army.

If Dimensional Channels were truly so easy to establish, why would the Annihilation Swarm have waited so long? They should have already found many universes suitable for survival.

"Could this be a complete failure?"

The Annihilator muttered despairingly.

The severed signal meant his offspring were dead. No living creature could send signals to the Negative Zone anymore, and they would never have another chance to lay hands on that universe.

Perhaps, in the near future, the Annihilation Swarm would descend into civil war due to resource shortages.

"Your Majesty, the signal is coming through intermittently."

With the second report, hope rekindled in the Annihilator.

As long as his offspring were not dead, hope still remained.

After gathering numerous experts to discuss countermeasures, they reached the conclusion that they needed more time to establish the data model.

Before the true cosmic crisis descended.

The war against the insectoid race had already entered its final stages.

As for Ronan, he could never reveal the truth. Doing so would be an admission of guilt, sending him straight to a military tribunal, where the death penalty would surely be unavoidable.

Never mind how many lives had died because of him.

The fact that the Three Great Cosmic Empires had been weakened by the war, allowing the Sparta Empire to seize the opportunity to invade, was alone enough to make him deserve death eight hundred times over.

Boom!

The last Starship Bug exploded in space.

The insectoid war was finally declared over.

The scattered insectoid forces spread across ecological planets throughout the universe were no longer a threat.

The Three Great Cosmic Empires did not immediately form a tripartite allied army. Instead, they invited Allen to jointly request a face-to-face talk with the Sparta Empire.

Back when the Sparta Empire had been defeated, The Lantern Corps had also contributed.

Now that Allen had temporarily formed the Rainbow Corps, he naturally had the qualifications to represent The Lantern Corps.

A projected screen descended.

Four figures appeared before Allen.

The Supreme Intelligence of the Kree Empire looked like a gigantic head placed inside a nutrient tank.

The Swordmaster of the Shi’ar Empire had a very distinctive mohawk. It seemed that Swordplay Star People, regardless of gender, all liked mohawks.

The Queen of the Skrull Empire had green skin and pointed ears. She had nothing to do with elves and looked more like a green-skinned orc. Of course, her people could alter their appearances and sex characteristics, and even copy superpowers in the process.

New King Peer of the Sparta Empire sat on his throne in an outstanding military uniform, putting on the air of a superior.

"How should we address you, sir?"

The Supreme Intelligence asked with great humility.

As a super artificial intelligence, analyzing the situation was what it did best.

Allen had made the universe-renowned The Lantern Corps submit through his strength alone, which was enough to show that his power could not be ignored.

"Allen, the universe’s number one, unprecedented and never to be surpassed, so handsome that I wake up every day from being stunned by my own looks, causing insomnia, endocrine disorders, yellow urine, and foamy piss—the handsomest Lantern."

Allen said without the slightest modesty, "When it comes to being handsome, I’ve never lost."

How shameless!

The Lantern Corps had gone insane to submit to this man.

"Enough nonsense."

New King Peer cut in. "I don’t want to waste time."

"Sir, we are willing not to reclaim the fallen territories. Our only request is that your side cease any further invasion," the Skrull Queen proposed.

The Three Great Cosmic Empires had suffered losses that were far too severe in this war, so they had secretly decided to adopt a policy of appeasement.

They wanted to delay for as long as possible to recuperate, rebuild their strength, and prepare for a counterattack at a later date.

That was why they had invited Allen to serve as a backdrop and intimidate the Sparta Empire.

At the very least, it showed that their former main forces still formed a community of shared interests.

"A ceasefire is possible."

New King Peer leaned back, assuming an aloof posture as he said bluntly, "Cede us Star Gate access rights within the regions under our control."

For a moment, the leaders of the Three Great Cosmic Empires fell silent.

Star Gates were their lifeblood. They were not merely for transport; their strategic value was even more crucial.

Once they handed over Star Gate access rights, the Sparta Empire could likely use its own technology to infiltrate the entire network. Then it could travel into their core territories and launch surprise attacks.

"I’m not interested in your mess. I’m going back to Knowhere to play with my teammates."

Allen felt he could not get involved, so he spread his hands to show he was withdrawing.

"Consider yourself sensible, unevolved monkey," New King Peer said disdainfully.

In the universe, there were too many races with humanlike forms. The technologically advanced Spartaxians had always looked down on other humanoid races and often insulted them as monkeys.

"Fuck your mother."

Allen instantly fired back in fury. "You @&#, you fucking #%!, you bastard #…!, your great-grandma’s #@&¥, your great-grandpa’s…"

In one breath, he greeted the other man’s ancestors for eighteen generations.

The three leaders watched as Allen kept chattering away without any intention of stopping. The more he cursed, the more energized he became, occasionally even using body language.

For example, he made a circle with the index finger and thumb of one hand, formed the other hand into a cone and pushed it into the circle, spread the circle open with his fingers, then used both hands as if tearing open a huge hole before kicking hard into it with one foot.

Hiss…

That was fucking insulting.

The three leaders sharply sucked in a breath.

The negotiations were definitely doomed.

New King Peer’s face turned livid. He wished he could reach through the screen and tear the other man apart.

Clearly, he had suffered from having too much class. Raised from childhood according to the standards of a king, how could New King Peer possibly have encountered such foul insults? He could not even understand the meaning of some of the curses, but their literal wording alone made him physically uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, The Lantern Corps behind Allen were shocked by his verbal sparring skills, which were no weaker than his actual strength.

"I’m the male lead who runs rampant through the Marvel comics world. I beat up the Justice League in DC and bully the Avengers in Marvel. You, some nameless extra, dare come here acting tough? Who do you think you are, some turtle bastard with the body of a demigod and the shoulders of a mortal?"

Allen pressed both hands down in front of him to signal that he was done, then put on a calm expression and asked serenely, "Do you know you were wrong?"

"You…"

New King Peer trembled with rage. After a long while, he finally spat out, "There will be no ceasefire until one side is completely defeated and surrenders. And I will crush The Lantern Corps to pieces."

Allen replied without concern, "What the hell does that have to do with me? I’ll disband them later anyway."

"…"

At that moment, New King Peer’s eyes bulged in fury, as though he had punched cotton and could not exert any force.

The image ended.

He was probably going to be too angry to sleep.

The Lantern Corps all wore the expressions of children whose parents had died.

Big brother, you caused the trouble, yet we were supposed to take the blame while you dusted yourself off and left. Could you try being human?

"I hereby announce that the Rainbow Corps is disbanded. Everyone, go home."

Allen waved at the Lanterns, while The Lantern Corps remained still and silent.

If they truly disbanded, it meant they would have to take the blame.
