Life of Silence

Luoxi’s terms were undeniably generous. The Three Parts Divine Finger was already an exceptionally powerful ability, integrating offense and defense, and it was a cultivation-type ability particularly suited for mastering energy.

This ability allowed Reincarnators to continuously circulate and refine energy such as qi within their bodies, improving their control over it. Among Second Tier power systems, it was considered a category especially suited for advancing into the Third Tier.

Quite a few Reincarnators at this stage would find ways to learn a little of this kind of cultivation technique to improve their control over energy.

Furthermore, for every veteran member of the target team killed, she would provide one B-rank Anomaly Point. Such a reward was already comparable to the rewards issued by the Space for major missions.

As for the Death Note Fragment that Luoxi had presented as the grand finale reward, Bai Cangshu did not show much interest.

This disappointed Luoxi, who had wanted to use it to attract Mercenary Tao into the core team under Life of Silence.

The faction she managed had suffered a devastating blow and urgently needed to prove its value to Life of Silence. Other than killing Title-level Reincarnators from hostile factions through battle, discovering a more valuable promising newcomer was naturally the best way to elevate her standing.

She knew that the Great Sun of Finality had once tried to recruit Mercenary Tao, but had not put much effort into it. At the very least, he had not personally appeared as he had when inviting the Four Demons.

And as news spread that Mercenary Tao had brazenly killed elite Reincarnators under the Great Sun of Finality during this operation, it was likely that not only Life of Silence, but many major figures would become interested in this ferocious beast that had risen so rapidly.

Bai Cangshu saw through Luoxi’s thoughts completely. He was indeed curious about the power of so-called Supreme Experts, but he had no intention of joining anyone’s faction.

From the bits of information he had learned so far, every Supreme Expert seemed to possess unimaginable powers. The ability Kalpa had used, like a Black Great Sun, had allowed him to Curse Kill Homelander despite having the attributes of a Reincarnator of the same rank.

Life of Silence seemed to almost certainly possess a Curse Kill item like the Death Note.

The corners of Bai Cangshu’s mouth rose. This Space was becoming more and more interesting.

He put away the Sky Frost Fist manual, waved his hand, and said at last,

"Then, Miss Luoxi, I’ll wait for your information…"

His body turned into light and vanished, leaving Crimson Lotus’s base.

Luoxi was also teleported into another Private Space.

After landing, Luoxi slowly floated upward. Everything around her was black and silent, while a blue planet could be seen in the distance.

This Private Space had actually been decorated to resemble the surface of an alien planet. The pitch-black deep space concealed its boundaries, making it impossible to tell just how large this Private Space was.

On the desolate planet covered in meteor craters stood a small building. It was the private residence of Life of Silence.

Luoxi drifted over. The doors opened without a sound, and once she entered, the interior presented a stark contrast, having been arranged into a warm and cozy home.

The floor was covered in bright yellow, with white carpets spread throughout. The sofa was also soft and plush. A petite girl was curled up on it, showing no reaction at all upon seeing Luoxi.

A television sat across from the sofa, and she was intently playing some kind of retro pixel game.

"Your Excellency, I’m sorry. I failed."

Luoxi apologized, but the girl known as Life of Silence did not react at all.

Luoxi had long grown accustomed to this behavior from Her Excellency. Put elegantly, she was somewhat aloof. Put plainly, Luoxi felt this Supreme Expert was probably a little "withdrawn."

She was not sure whether this petite loli Avatar was some sort of bizarre preference of hers. However, based on her observations from following her for so long, Life of Silence’s true age should not be young—at the very least, she was older than Luoxi.

Because whenever Life of Silence spoke to Luoxi or her other followers, she often used the tone of an elder addressing a junior.

Still, compared with the Great Sun of Finality, Life of Silence was much easier to communicate with. At the very least, she rarely killed her own people…

"Your Excellency, that Mercenary Tao I mentioned before seems to have killed Qilin Temple, the Title-level Reincarnator under the Great Sun of Finality. And Black Knight, who was supposedly known alongside Show as the Black and White Knights, was probably killed by him as well…"

The girl released the controller and frowned.

"They were not known alongside each other."

It took Luoxi about a second to realize that Her Excellency did not acknowledge Black Knight as worthy of being ranked alongside Show as one of the Black and White Knights. Quite a few Title-level Reincarnators in the Space shared that view.

She actually knew that Black Knight could not be mentioned in the same breath as the rapidly rising Show. But she had deliberately described it that way to elevate Mercenary Tao’s status. She had not expected the withdrawn Her Excellency to know even such a minor figure.

Luoxi gave an awkward laugh.

"I plan to deliberately reveal Mercenary Tao’s whereabouts to the Chaos Sage’s team, then commission Mercenary Tao to kill Flower Immortal and the others who betrayed us."

"Mm."

Life of Silence nodded, replying to Luoxi’s dangerous proposal with only a single word. Luoxi had actually prepared many more arguments in her heart, but none of them were needed.

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something else, but the girl had already picked up the controller again.

Bai Cangshu once again put on a "live unboxing" performance at his stall.

He crushed a Scarlet Drop Card. The scarlet light swirling around him stung the nerves of many Reincarnators.

"This guy really is insane. Is he provoking the Great Sun of Finality?!"

"The Finality Empire has already listed him as a three-star bounty target. His good days are probably over…"

"A bounty? What use is a bounty? Do you think an ordinary team can handle this guy? There’s news that Mercenary Tao killed Seven-Colored Mage Qilin Temple!"

The chatter continued without end. Bai Cangshu did not stop them, nor did he deny it.

"Choose C and F."

The card he had crushed belonged to the guy whose body could expand in size.

You selected C. Beginning attribute extraction...
Strength +3. Current: 33
You selected F. Attempting Bloodline extraction...
Extracting...
Extraction successful.
You have obtained Bloodline Item: Mad Beastman (Modified, Second Tier).

As an Extremely Rare purple glow emerged, Bai Cangshu placed the vial of blood, shimmering with a peculiar luster, onto his stall.

"It’s a Bloodline Item!"

This item, which offered the most immediate enhancement to Reincarnators among all items, instantly silenced all criticism. Large numbers of Reincarnators began crowding toward the stall.

Only a small number of people, after seeing the Bloodline’s description, realized that the rumors in the Space were true. Black Knight and Qilin Temple had most likely both been killed by this guy.

And by further deduction, Moon Demon had not died either. Instead, he had become Mercenary Tao’s collaborator or companion?!

The two notorious figures had joined forces. Several Information Brokers exchanged glances, then quickly disappeared. They needed to sell this intelligence for a good price.
