Lightning Style – Lightning Bird! (4/5)

Swordsmanship!

Taijutsu!

Ninjutsu!

Genjutsu!

In just a few minutes, Allen used everything he had learned in one go.

Relying on the mindset and combat style he had developed in the Hunter x Hunter world, he easily suppressed his opponent so thoroughly that the man could only barely hold out by relying on Earth Release’s relatively strong defenses.

And that was only because Allen did not want to end the battle too early and had deliberately held back from dealing a killing blow.

Damn it! What the hell is wrong with this kid? He’s used so many high-level ninjutsu, so why hasn’t he shown even the slightest bit of fatigue? Is his Chakra infinite?

The longer the fight dragged on, the more despair appeared on the Stone Ninja’s face.

By now, he had personally witnessed this silver-haired genin with rare violet eyes cast at least forty different kinds of ninjutsu, including Medical Ninjutsu, which was renowned for its difficulty.

In his heart, he had already revised his original assessment of genius to monster!

That was right!

A monster wearing human skin!

Allen had evidently noticed this as well and smiled reassuringly. "Sorry, but please hold on a little longer. Once I finish testing the last thing, I’ll put an end to your suffering right away."

"Pant… pant… pant…"

The Stone Ninja had lost all interest in talking. He merely used this brief respite to recover his strength and prepare for one final desperate struggle.

As a ninja who had participated in both WWII and the Third Shinobi World War, he did not fear death. He simply did not want to die without meaning.

Before dying, he wanted to leave some permanent damage on the Konoha monster before him, no matter how slight. Blinding one eye or severing one finger would be enough.

"Not a bad look in your eyes! It seems you’ve resolved yourself to die. In that case, let me show you a ninjutsu I created myself before you die."

After saying that, Allen began gathering a massive amount of Lightning Attribute Chakra in his hands.

Because the amount was simply too staggering, the dazzling white electric light outshone even the sun in the sky.

Gradually, the Chakra took the shape of a bird of prey. Its body was roughly five meters long, while its wingspan exceeded twelve meters. Merely looking at it was enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

"Lightning Style – Lightning Bird! What do you think? It’s a great technique, isn’t it? And anyone killed by it won’t feel even the slightest bit of pain. Under several million, or even tens of millions, of volts, the human heart will instantly stop, and a body of flesh and blood will rapidly be burned into charcoal." Allen eagerly introduced the ninjutsu he had invented.

You must know, this was no easy task!

In particular, shaping something as violent as lightning into a specific form and giving it a degree of controllability was an impossible task for most Lightning Style ninjas. It involved both Shape Transformation and Nature Transformation of Lightning Release Chakra.

Even if those red-eyed Uchiha came here, they probably would not be able to copy this ninjutsu.

Of course, the more important factor was the amount of Chakra.

Creating such a massive Lightning Bird required Allen to mobilize nearly one-twentieth of his Chakra and compress it again and again. Otherwise, the lightning could not take on a tangible form at all.

"M-Monster! How could there be such a monster in this world?!"

The Stone Ninja had clearly been frightened into insanity by the enormous Lightning Bird. Like a madman, he charged forward, tore open his clothes to reveal hundreds of densely packed Explosive Tags underneath, and attempted to use suicide to achieve mutual destruction with his enemy.

But Allen remained unmoved, standing perfectly still until his opponent entered the fifteen-meter alert range. Only then did the Lightning Bird abruptly transform into a streak of electric light and vanish without a trace.

The next second!

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!

An enormous pillar of white light pierced heaven and earth!

The pitiful Stone Ninja died instantly before he could even let out a scream.

If Vilnalasath had not reacted quickly enough to rush forward and spit out a mouthful of Fire of Life, burning him into a cocoon and swallowing it whole, not even a somewhat intact corpse would have remained.

"The power seems to have been a little excessive. Maybe next time, I can try making the Lightning Bird smaller." Allen stared at the ground ahead, which had been almost completely scorched by lightning, with a thoughtful expression.

After all, he was still a genin in Konoha. It was best to use ninjutsu like Lightning Bird, which had clearly reached S-rank or perhaps even forbidden technique level, as little as possible. It would not be good if he caught the attention of Danzō, the famed "Pot Shadow," the "Darkness of the Ninja World."

In fact, ever since he had displayed astonishing Chakra control and talent for learning Medical Ninjutsu, he could sense some ill-intentioned gazes suddenly appearing around him.

Meanwhile, on the other side, Might Guy, who was fighting another Stone Ninja, also noticed the pillar of lightning shooting into the sky. His expression changed slightly, and he immediately activated the forbidden technique he had painstakingly trained in for many years—the Eight Inner Gates.

"Sixth Gate! Gate of Pain, open! Morning Peacock!"

As the "valve" suppressing Chakra opened, his entire body instantly transformed into a red flowing light, throwing hundreds of punches at speeds too fast for the naked eye to discern.

The pitiful Stone Ninja did not even have time to react before being swallowed by bright flames.

By the time it was over, every bone in his body had shattered, leaving him as a heap of something that could not quite be called either minced meat or a meat patty.

After killing his enemy, Might Guy did not pause for even a second and rushed toward the incident location at top speed.

Only when he saw Allen standing there unharmed and staring blankly into space did he finally let out a sigh of relief and ask loudly, "What happened just now?"

"Uh… I used a ninjutsu that’s still being tested and refined. I just didn’t expect it to be that powerful." Allen blinked with an innocent expression.

"A ninjutsu you developed yourself?" Might Guy displayed undisguised surprise.

You must know, most genin at that age were still in the learning and exploration stage.

Anyone capable of developing a new technique was, without exception, a genuine genius.

Never mind its power—talent alone would be enough for him to make a name for himself in the Ninja World in the near future and become a true powerhouse.

Allen nodded lightly. "That’s right! A Lightning Style Ninjutsu. If Rock Lee and Neji haven’t dealt with the last enemy yet, I think I can demonstrate it for you on the spot."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go support them!"

As the last word was blurted out, Might Guy grabbed Allen and sprinted directly toward the battlefield not far away.

Before long, the two saw Neji and Rock Lee, bedraggled but without any fatal injuries.

After all, the Byakugan could easily see through illusions and all kinds of concealment methods, leaving most tactics with little room to work against the Hyuga Clan.

Furthermore, it could observe the flow of Chakra inside an enemy’s body through X-ray vision, allowing them to determine the type of ninjutsu being used and take precautions in advance.

Combined with the fact that their original task had been to stall for time, they had barely managed to hold on until now.

Otherwise, given the average strength of jonin, they would probably have been dead long ago.
