“Mage!”

Principal Lu Yun suddenly perked up.

Mages are high-level combat classes, and so far this year, there hadn't been a single high-level combat class.

If it were a special type of Mage, it would definitely be a Rare class.

The magic array activated, shining brightly.

Two massive fireballs suddenly rose from the light, bursting like fireworks.

Principal Lu Yun trembled with excitement. "A phenomenon. A Rare class."

The appearance of a phenomenon signified a Rare class.

[Combat-type Rare Class: Elemental Mage]

Principal Lu Yun was incredibly excited; just a moment ago, he had been saying that a Rare class was merely a pipe dream.

He hadn't expected his wish to be granted so soon—it was like having a pillow handed to him just as he was getting sleepy.

"Wow, Xia Xue is amazing! She's actually a combat-type Rare class."

"An Elemental Mage! That's so powerful. I heard that once the level increases, the attack power becomes terrifying."

"Exactly. For a city like our Xihai City, a God-level Elemental Mage could wipe it out just by casting a forbidden spell."

"As expected of a genius; the reputation is well-deserved."

Xia Xue, equally thrilled, stepped down from the magic array.

Array Master Zhang Qian made a point of saying, "Young lady, you are very good."

Principal Lu Yun's face was beaming like a blooming chrysanthemum; he was overjoyed.

Xia Xue bowed respectfully to Array Master Zhang Qian. "Thank you for the compliment, Senior."

After Xia Xue returned, a group of classmates surrounded her, asking her endless questions.

A combat-type Rare class; that was truly as rare as phoenix feathers and unicorn horns.

Classes were not only categorized by type but also by grade.

Except for Lifestyle classes, which had no grades.

Combat and Support classes could be divided into five grades: Low, Intermediate, High, Rare, and Legendary.

Legendary classes were almost never seen; the entire Shenxia Empire might not produce one in ten years.

Rare classes were relatively more common; a city like Xihai City could produce one every year, and sometimes even two.

Now, Xia Xue, along with Su Qianxing, whom Principal Lu Yun often mentioned, were both combat-type Rare classes.

"Lin Moyu!"

Hearing his name, Lin Moyu lifted his feet and walked toward the magic array.

Xia Xue watched Lin Moyu, her eyes filled with a sense of challenge.

Principal Lu Yun asked, "Master Zhang, what do you think of this child?"

Array Master Zhang Qian glanced at Lin Moyu. "Other than being unusually calm, there is nothing special about him."

Principal Lu Yun said, "Our school has two geniuses. Xia Xue, who just went, is second, and he is first."

Array Master Zhang Qian said indifferently, "Academic performance has no necessary connection to job advancement. You should understand this principle."

Principal Lu Yun understood, of course, but he still held onto a glimmer of hope.

If there could be another Rare class…

That would be absolutely fantastic.

The magic array activated, erupting with brilliant light.

The originally bright sky suddenly darkened, and in the blink of an eye, dark clouds pressed down overhead.

Gusts of cold wind blew from all directions, and the temperature dropped sharply.

Day turned into night, as if the apocalypse had arrived.

"Why did the wind start blowing?"

"There are so many dark clouds in the sky."

"The forecast didn't say it would rain, but this wind is so cold."

Principal Lu Yun said in surprise, "What is going on?"

Array Master Zhang Qian stared at the magic array and said indifferently, "A phenomenon!"

A job advancement phenomenon!

Principal Lu Yun almost exclaimed aloud; such a massive job advancement phenomenon was unheard of.

Then, he became excited; with such a massive phenomenon, it would be unjustifiable if it didn't result in a Rare class.

He just didn't know if it was a Support or Combat class.

"Impossible, I won't lose to you!"

Xia Xue clenched her fists; this phenomenon was much larger than the one she had just caused.

She was unwilling to admit defeat in her heart, but looking purely at the phenomenon, she had to concede.

Chapter 3: A Skeleton Warrior from the Scrap Heap

Suddenly, a classmate shouted, "Look, there's movement in the dark clouds."

Everyone looked up.

Points of firelight rose within the dark clouds.

The firelight floated in the air, rising and falling.

Besides the firelight, there seemed to be other things.

Moreover, a clack-clack grinding sound emanated from the dark clouds, making one's teeth ache.

Finally, a sharp-eyed classmate saw what was in the dark clouds and was so frightened that he fell backward onto the ground.

"It's skeletons! They're all skeletons in the dark clouds."

As he spoke, the scene within the dark clouds was completely revealed.

Thousands upon thousands of skeletons were packed densely; that firelight was clearly the Soul Fire within their skeletal skulls.

Each skeleton emitted a ghastly white light, hideous and terrifying.

Although they knew this was just a phenomenon, many classmates were still so scared that they retreated repeatedly.

One of the Soul Fire flames descended from the sky and landed on Lin Moyu.

Then, all the phenomena vanished instantly, and everything returned to normal.

[Unique Hidden Class: Necromancer]

It was not a Rare class.

It was a Hidden class.

And it was a Unique Hidden class.

This meant that there was only one such class in the entire world.

Unless Lin Moyu died, no second identical class would appear.

Hidden classes were even rarer than Rare classes, and even rarer than Legendary classes.

Whether it was strong or not was unclear, but it was certainly rare.

Lin Moyu's Necromancer class was the only one in the entire world.

"Lin Moyu is amazing; he actually got a Hidden class, and it's a Unique Hidden class."

"How could that reticent guy have such good luck? Could the magic array have malfunctioned?"

"A Hidden class isn't necessarily strong; there have been many people in history whose Hidden classes weren't that great."

"Right, right, right. Hidden classes are just rare; they aren't necessarily powerful."

"But the phenomenon just now was so scary. And his class is called Necromancer—does that mean he has to deal with the dead all the time?"

"He doesn't talk anyway; isn't dealing with the dead perfect for him? He won't have to talk at all."

After fully awakening his class, Lin Moyu stepped down from the magic array.

As for the Unique Hidden class, he was also a bit excited inside, but nothing could be seen on his face.

He didn't show his emotions; it was fine to have shock and excitement in his heart; why show it on his face?

"Wait a moment." As he passed by Array Master Zhang Qian, Array Master Zhang Qian suddenly called out to stop him.

Lin Moyu turned around and bowed to Array Master Zhang Qian. "Do you have any instructions, Senior?"

It wasn't that he couldn't speak; he just didn't talk much.

He wouldn't lack the proper etiquette.

Array Master Zhang Qian asked, "Your class is a Hidden class, and I haven't seen one before. Could you demonstrate a skill?"

Facing Array Master Zhang Qian's request, Lin Moyu did not refuse.

"Please wait a moment, Senior."

Having just completed the job advancement, he wasn't fully familiar with himself yet.

He checked his attributes.

[Name: Lin Moyu]

[Class: Necromancer (Unique)]

[Level: 1 (0.00%)]

[Strength: 10]

[Agility: 10]

[Spirit: 20]

[Constitution: 10]

[Equipment: None]

[Summon Space: 0/10]

[Skills: Soul Fire (Level 1), Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 1)]

[Soul Fire (Level 1): Burns the target's soul, causing burning damage. The power is based on one's own Spirit and skill level.]

[Summon Skeleton Warrior (Level 1): Summons a Black Iron-grade Skeleton Warrior (Skeletons can be divided into Black Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond, Legendary, and God-level).]

In terms of attributes, Spirit surpassed the other three attributes.

This also represented the positioning of the Necromancer, which belonged to the Mage class series.

The Soul Fire skill also illustrated this point.

However, the Summon Skeleton Warrior skill was somewhat similar to the Summoner class.

Soul Fire was definitely not suitable for demonstration, so Lin Moyu chose Summon Skeleton Warrior.

Activating the skill, a black vortex appeared beside Lin Moyu.

Subsequently, a Skeleton Warrior burning with Soul Fire walked out of the vortex.

His Spirit instantly dropped from 20 points to 10 points, consuming a full half.

The Black Iron-grade Skeleton Warrior had bones that were gray in color.

There were quite a few cracks all over its body, and even the blade in its hand was tattered and old; it was unknown which scrap heap it had been picked from.

It wasn't just the blade; the entire Skeleton Warrior looked like it had come out of a scrap heap.

Such a Black Iron-grade Skeleton Warrior didn't look powerful at all, as if it would fall apart at any moment.
