Management Talent

In a village in the mountains,

Li Shen looked at the messages in the group, thought for a moment, and directly dialed a number.

Not long after,

The call connected.

“Hello, Professor Yuan, I hope I’m not disturbing you.”

“That’s good! I have something here that I’d like to ask Professor Yuan for help with. Our Tomorrow Group’s CEO Chen wants to invest in the agricultural industry, but we don’t have relevant professional talent, so I’d like to see if you have any suitable candidates to recommend.”

“As for salary and benefits, you know our Tomorrow Group, so you can be sure we won’t treat anyone unfairly.”

Li Shen quickly expressed his thoughts.

There was silence on the other end of the phone for a while before he slowly spoke.

“There is indeed such a candidate. He started his own business two years after graduating, but when I contacted him this year, I heard that his business failed. However, one thing I can guarantee is that there are absolutely no issues with his agricultural knowledge. Moreover, his business was also in the agricultural direction, and I believe he has summarized some experiences from this business failure.”

“If you think it’s feasible, I’ll help you get in touch with him.”

Li Shen listened to Professor Yuan’s words, pondered for a moment, then slowly spoke.

“Then I’ll trouble Professor Yuan.”

One business failure is nothing. He remembered Luo Xiao filmed two bad films in a row before joining Lanpian Film and Television.

Yet, after joining CEO Chen’s group, he directly filmed the hit journey of subduing demons.

So, he didn't care much about past failures.

What made him decide was Professor Yuan’s evaluation. He completely trusted Professor Yuan’s character.

Since Professor Yuan said that person was very good, then he was very good.

“Alright, then I’ll contact him. I’ll get in touch with you once I have news.”

“Professor Yuan, I’ll give you a contact number. It’s CEO Chen’s assistant. You can contact her directly. I’m in the mountains, and the signal isn’t good. I might not be able to answer calls at any time.”

“Alright!”

Li Shen hung up the phone and then began organizing the staff to continue their journey.

After they arrived in this mountainous area, they split up, with each person leading a team to pick up impoverished elderly people from various regions.

………….

Inside an office,

Qin Hong looked at the empty office and sighed helplessly.

After more than two years, his entrepreneurial venture ended in failure, and he even ended up with a debt of 300,000.

300,000!

Qin Hong rubbed his head, feeling a bit bitter.

When he graduated, he confidently started his own business, thinking he could make a career for himself in agriculture.

He never expected such a result.

Sure enough, having rich agricultural knowledge alone is not enough without management skills.

Forget it,

It’s better to go back to Teacher Yuan and honestly research agricultural knowledge. Just pay off the debt first.

Qin Hong took one last look at the office where he had worked for two years, then got up and walked out.

Just as he took two steps, his phone suddenly rang.

He took out his phone and saw that it was Teacher Yuan calling, so he quickly answered the phone.

“Teacher Yuan!”

“Yes, I’m preparing to follow you.”

“I just failed my business venture. It wouldn’t be appropriate for me to go there right now, would it?”

“……..”

“I understand, Teacher Yuan, then I’ll give it a try.”

“Thank you, Teacher Yuan, for your concern.”

After a while,

Qin Hong hung up the phone with a grateful expression. He hadn’t expected that Teacher Yuan would introduce him to a job at this time, and it was even related to agriculture, and a position as a person in charge.

At first, he was a bit worried, as he had just failed his business venture and knew he had some issues with management.

He was a bit hesitant about taking on the role of a person in charge of someone else’s agricultural industry like that.

However, Professor Yuan said he could give it a try, to focus on leveraging his advantages in agricultural knowledge, and to let others handle the management aspects.

He could see how it turned out, and if it didn’t work, he could then consider other things.

After Teacher Yuan’s guidance, he finally made a decision. Since that was the case, he would give it a try. Putting everything else aside, at least in terms of agricultural knowledge, he was very confident.

As for the management issues, he would leave that to people with management abilities.

But where to find someone with management abilities? This made him very conflicted.

After thinking for a moment,

He took out his phone and made a call. No matter what, he had to first contact the person in charge of that company and then explain his situation.

Not long after, the call connected.

“Hello, is this Assistant Shen? I’m Qin Hong, introduced by Professor Yuan.”

Qin Hong quickly spoke.

“Ah, Teacher Qin, I know. I was wondering what your thoughts are on coming over to be the person in charge of the agricultural industry.”

Shen Rou listened to the content of the call, a smile appearing on her face.

Li Shen had just sent her a message not long ago, explaining the situation.

So she had been waiting for Professor Yuan’s call, for the person Professor Yuan found.

“It’s like this.”

Qin Hong pondered for a moment, then briefly explained his current situation.

“My own company just went out of business, but the biggest reason for this is that I lack some management ability, which led to the business failure. However, one thing you can rest assured of is that there are absolutely no problems with my knowledge in agriculture.”

“I just discussed with Teacher Yuan that I can be responsible for the technical management, and as for other management matters, they can be handed over to management-oriented talents for handling.”

After speaking,

Qin Hong fell silent, quietly waiting for Shen Rou’s reply.

Shen Rou wasn’t surprised. Li Shen had mentioned this in the message he just sent her, though he only touched on the matter briefly.

Her thoughts were quite similar to Li Shen’s. After all, she had been by CEO Chen’s side for so long, and CEO Chen never held prejudices against those who had experienced business failures or losses.

Just like Song Xia of Nanhe Coffee, she had previously managed a loss-making milk tea shop.

And Tang Qiu of Baishu Law Firm, her reputation in the legal world at the time was not very good.

And then there was Luo Xiao, who filmed the hit demon subduing record; he had previously filmed two bad films.

……

But these people were never prejudiced in CEO Chen’s eyes. He would reuse them if they were good, without any hesitation.

So, as someone close to CEO Chen, she naturally held the same view.

She wouldn't negate Qin Hong or deem his abilities insufficient just because he had experienced a business failure.

However, there was one thing she was somewhat undecided about. CEO Chen had only asked to find a person in charge, but if she followed Qin Hong’s current proposal, she would need to recruit a management-oriented talent after recruiting Qin Hong.

This did not align with CEO Chen’s initial command, so she needed to report to CEO Chen.

After pondering for a moment, she spoke calmly.

“Teacher Qin, please wait a moment regarding this matter. I need to report to CEO Chen.”
