Mercenary Tao’s Day of Death

"Regarding the increasingly severe Wights in the Tokyo area, as well as the monsters around Osaka, does Mr. Mercenary Tao have any…"

Bai Cangshu chewed the meat in his mouth while Sugahide Hito cautiously spoke from below.

For now, Japan’s Black Ball Team had temporarily resolved its crisis. Several conglomerates had announced that they controlled Black Ball Team assets and were willing to hand over the technology and equipment, using them alongside the government to train super soldiers and protect the country from alien destruction.

However, Sugahide Hito had learned through intelligence that those Wights and monsters seemed to be connected to Mr. Mercenary Tao. Many cameras had captured traces of the Wights following behind Mercenary Tao.

This left Sugahide Hito unsure whether he should deploy Black Ball Warriors to eliminate those creatures.

You consumed a specially prepared piece of monster meat. Ingredient Grade: Good. Deliciousness Grade: Excellent
Gourmet Cell has grown substantially. Current: Lv3 (17/400)
Strength +1, Constitution +1, Agility +1. Current: Strength 48, Constitution 52, Agility 36

After eating so much, his Gourmet Cell level rose again. Bai Cangshu was thoroughly satisfied and finally looked up at Sugahide Hito.

He waved a hand dismissively.

"Kill them if you want."

Having realized that the Ancient Alien Gods could descend into this world on their own, Bai Cangshu made no attempt to stop Sugahide Hito from clearing out the White Walkers and Wights.

He even hinted that there were special altars scattered throughout Japan, and those were precisely where the enemies came from.

Overjoyed by this intelligence, Sugahide Hito immediately began deploying Black Ball Warriors to purge those strange enemies across a wide area, hoping to reclaim control of Tokyo.

"Arrange a plane to Germany for me."

Sugahide Hito immediately had someone arrange a private jet for Bai Cangshu.

Over the past two days, Bai Cangshu had also tried tracking the fast Reincarnator still hiding in Japan, but the other party was like a startled cat, constantly hiding far away.

Whenever Bai Cangshu followed the coordinate prompts to the location, the other party had already vanished using that godlike speed.

There were too few Reincarnators, and without the constraints of a team battle mission, Bai Cangshu found it difficult to lock onto him across such a vast map.

Therefore, Bai Cangshu decided to go to Germany and kill the last target that had to be purged.

After the plane landed, Bai Cangshu had barely left the airport when the words Purge Mission before his eyes began to flicker faintly.

Bai Cangshu frowned, looking in confusion at the thin man before him. He wore a black overcoat and looked utterly haggard.

The man’s mental state was nothing like that of a Reincarnator. He looked more like an addict.

This was most likely the Reincarnator who had triggered the Purge Mission. He had deep blue eyes and yellow hair, and in Berlin’s wind, he looked as though he might be blown away at any moment.

"You’re not running?"

Bai Cangshu saw at a glance just how weak the other man was.

It was not merely weakness of strength, but weakness of mentality and spirit.

From the bottom of his heart, this man had never believed he could survive Bai Cangshu’s hands. His mind was filled with dead silence.

"Run… Can I even get away…?"

Ghost Talent’s voice was hoarse. Seeing Mercenary Tao appear at the agreed-upon time, there was no longer any fear or despair on his face.

He had become a pool of stagnant water.

"Mercenary Tao, would you let me get away?"

Ghost Talent asked calmly.

Though Bai Cangshu could not understand the man’s mental state, there was no need to deceive someone so weak. He shook his head and gave a simple answer.

"No. I will kill you for real."

To Bai Cangshu’s surprise, the other man merely nodded, then said,

"Oh, I understand. Then before I die, can you fulfill one wish of mine? In return, I’ll tell you something."

The moment the man spoke, Bai Cangshu had already read his vague thoughts through Mantra.

Still, Bai Cangshu nodded, the corners of his mouth lifting with interest.

It was not that he was feeling merciful enough to grant the man some final comfort. Rather, this man’s wish was quite interesting…

Seeing that Mercenary Tao had indeed agreed to his request, Ghost Talent gave a bitter laugh.

He slowly unbuttoned his clothes, then quickly stripped himself completely naked.

He stood there bare in the plaza outside Berlin Airport.

This immediately drew the attention of the surrounding crowd.

Many people gathered nearby and murmured among themselves. Some stepped forward to ask Ghost Talent whether he needed help.

Others tried to call the police, believing Ghost Talent had suffered some kind of mental breakdown or had bizarre tendencies.

But Ghost Talent merely tilted his head and looked at those ordinary people.

Since becoming a Reincarnator, he had initially hidden himself out of fear. Later, following Lancer and the others’ arrangements, he had continued to conceal himself cautiously.

He was clearly stronger than nearly every ordinary person in the real world, yet he still spent every day meekly pretending to be a normal man.

He had even maintained his mediocre daily life just so those East Xia bastards would not notice his identity.

"Heh… Hahaha…"

Who would have thought that after suppressing and hiding himself for so long, this would be how he died?

Everyone in the real world would forget him.

They would forget the cautious, ordinary version of him.

"Fuck your mother!"

Ghost Talent suddenly roared. Turning around, he punched a woman in the face. She had covered her mouth and secretly joked with someone about his naked body.

The tremendous force instantly snapped her neck with a crack. She collapsed to the ground, twitching.

"Ah!"

People around them began to scream.

Ghost Talent grew tired of hearing it. He took out his X-Gun and fired repeatedly into the crowd.

Bang

Bang

Bang!

High-energy particle beams exploded continuously through human bodies, blasting men and women alike into shattered chunks of flesh.

Warm blood and flesh splattered over his body.

That feeling finally allowed Ghost Talent to experience the reality of being alive.

The next moment, he pounced on a woman and tore open her clothes.

But soon after, he punched her to death as well.

Before dying, this man revealed every brutal aspect hidden within the human soul.

Because he was about to die, no amount of evil or sin was worth considering anymore.

Bai Cangshu stood calmly where he was, allowing the terrified crowd to flee in every direction and allowing police in the distance to appear and begin firing at Ghost Talent.

He too was like a higher-dimensional observer, looking down upon the evil Ghost Talent was revealing.

He watched with great interest.

In the end, after Ghost Talent shot apart every approaching police car and everyone at the scene had fled into the distance, leaving only blood, flesh, and corpses all over the ground, he finally stopped.

Naked, he walked up to Bai Cangshu and said,

"Mercenary Tao, come. Take my life."

Bai Cangshu extended a hand and pressed a finger against his forehead, his ki contained but not released.

Ghost Talent felt death closing in and began to tremble uncontrollably. Looking at Mercenary Tao, he said,

"Mercenary Tao, I’ll wait for you in hell. That day won’t be far away…"

"I saw it all, from the Multi-Faced Star People…"

"You will die sixty days from now… That is your Destined Death!"

"I’ll be waiting for you."

Pfft!

Golden ki pierced through his skull.
