#269
Metal Demon, Shadow Prince
Not all Demon God Believers transformed into demons. Three merely summoned Altars—the Fake Nose Demon God Believer, the Shadow Demon God Believer, and a Golden Robe Demon God Believer whose style was completely different from the others.
The Fake Nose Demon God Believer exchanged a glance with Viper, and they attacked the human suicide squad at the same time—the Fake Nose Demon God Believer used black mist, while Viper used green poisonous gas.
A closer look revealed that the black mist was made up of densely packed insects, a terrifying sight. The human suicide squad had not expected the Demon God Believers to turn on them, and more than half were instantly killed or wounded.
Viper and the Fake Nose Demon God Believer attacked the human suicide squad not because they had also been "purified," but because they needed souls.
The Fake Nose Demon God Believer shouted and threw the souls of the human suicide squad, along with those who had died in battle earlier, into the three Altars. With a whoosh, three-foot-tall demonic flames ignited atop the Altars.
Immediately afterward, the three Demon God Believers began praying aloud at the same time. A Space Vortex appeared in the void, and a huge number of souls filled with resentment flew out and entered the three Altars—the souls thrown in earlier had been used to open a Space Channel and draw these souls over.
"Damn it, where did all these souls come from?"
Damon rushed over, intending to ignite the souls, but Viper aimed the Serpent Crown ring at him. Countless green snakes appeared out of thin air and lunged at him.
Though these venomous snakes were not enough to defeat Damon, they could certainly hold him back. The Serpent Crown ring on Viper’s hand was a genuine divine artifact.
While dealing with the Demon God Believers who had transformed into demons, Tony swiftly searched for information. A moment later, he said with an ugly expression, "Terrorist attacks have broken out in several countries. Those souls probably came from those places."
"Damn it! If those countries hadn’t stood by and done nothing, how could this disaster have happened?"
Electro cursed furiously. The Magnetic Field Inhuman and Phantom Inhuman lay unconscious at his feet—they had ultimately still been defeated by Electro.
"We have to destroy the Altars. With so many souls, the demons they summon will be incredibly powerful."
Strange killed the six-armed snake demon with a slash of his magic whip, then flew above the Altars with the help of the Cloak of Levitation.
Next, Strange cast a spell with both hands. Bolts of Balthakk erupted once more, striking toward the three Altars like red lightning.
"Sorry, you’re too late."
The Fake Nose Demon God Believer gave a savage grin. The void trembled, and three spatial rifts appeared out of nowhere, instantly destroying the red lightning.
Then, a thick scent of sulfur wafted from the spatial rifts. It was the scent of Hell, which meant the three rifts connected to three Hells.
"It stinks so badly. It’s ruining my appetite."
Lina, who was eating pizza, shouted in dissatisfaction. It was worth mentioning that a rapidly flowing ring of water surrounded the delivery room, keeping the flames from reaching it.
Quicksilver said with a hint of fear, "You’re still eating? A Greater Demon is about to descend."
Lina blinked her big eyes and said, "Demons don’t taste good. They smell like sulfur, and eating them makes you break out."
"You’ve eaten demons before? Wait, when did I say I wanted to eat demons?"
Quicksilver was starting to lose it. Lina said, "Master brought back a Hellish demon dragon last time. Other than making it explosively spicy, no other cooking method tasted good."
Quicksilver was speechless. As expected of his brother-in-law—even Hell was a place he could come and go from freely.
Leaving Quicksilver and Lina’s conversation aside, everyone’s expressions changed upon seeing the three spatial rifts. They wanted to destroy the Altars, but the demons desperately blocked them.
The Demon Gods behind the demons had reached an agreement: seize the Demon King’s reincarnation at all costs.
At this moment, the spatial rift summoned by the Golden Robe Demon God Believer suddenly expanded. Then, a glittering golden figure swiftly crawled out of it.
A closer look revealed that the golden figure was a Metal Demon. After emerging, it roared, and its body abruptly enlarged to a full seven meters tall. It looked immensely majestic and powerful, like King Kong.
"Golden Demon God Guard Commander."
The Golden Robe Demon God Believer was beside himself with excitement. This was a major figure among major figures.
The Guard Commander ignored the Golden Robe Demon God Believer. It turned around, thrust its arms into the spatial rift, and pulled hard, forcibly dragging three Metal Demons out.
Transporting so many demons pushed the Altar to its limit. With a bang, it exploded, and the spatial rift rapidly shrank and vanished.
"Four Metal Demons."
Everyone’s expressions grew grave. Though the latter three Metal Demons were only five meters tall, their auras made it clear that they were not easy opponents.
"Restore your combat strength immediately."
The Guard Commander called out to the three Metal Demons, then turned to survey the battlefield. It soon locked onto Veronica.
"A lowly human creation."
The Guard Commander sneered and charged toward Veronica with thunderous steps, each one shaking the earth.
Seeing this, Tony immediately activated the jets on Veronica’s back and charged toward the Guard Commander like a small mountain.
"Good."
The Guard Commander shouted and slammed its metal fist, trailing a violent gale, into Veronica’s fist. With a boom, the Guard Commander did not budge an inch, while Veronica’s arm exploded, spraying metal fragments everywhere.
At the same time, Veronica rapidly retreated, leaving a deep footprint in the ground with every step.
"Damn it."
Tony cursed, using the force to retreat further while tossing aside the ruined arm. A spare arm flew from behind the warehouse and landed in his hand, and Veronica quickly restored herself.
Then, Tony fired a Pulse Cannon at the Guard Commander. The Guard Commander dismissed it with contempt and did not even bother dodging as it strode toward Veronica.
With a bang, the Pulse Cannon struck the Guard Commander, yet failed even to force it back. The Guard Commander gave a savage grin, overlapped its hands, and smashed them down at Veronica like a massive hammer.
Before its fists even arrived, violent airwaves had already erupted around them. Several burning trees snapped in half and flew in all directions.
Tony did not dare take the attack head-on. He clumsily dodged aside, then released gravity waves from both arms, causing the Guard Commander to sink straight down.
Tony seized the chance to fly high into the air and slam a punch into the Guard Commander’s head, producing a loud clang.
The Guard Commander was furious. It pushed off the ground with both hands and quickly rose. Just as it was about to attack, an Electromagnetic Railgun struck it, blasting a large crater into its chest.
The Guard Commander stared at its chest in disbelief, then reached into the wound and pulled out a high-temperature coin. After sensing it, it asked in shock, "What metal is this? How can it be so strong?"
It was a Vibranium coin.
"Wow, using Vibranium as coins? You really are rich. Luckily, I’m not doing too badly myself."
As Tony spoke, a greatsword flew from the warehouse into his hand. It was a greatsword forged from Vibranium. Then Tony poured high temperatures into it, turning the blade blazing red. One look was enough to tell it was a terrifying weapon.
Electro walked over and asked expressionlessly, "How much Vibranium did you embezzle from the Supreme Machine’s Vibranium shell?"
"Can a scientist’s work be called embezzlement? It’s borrowing. That’s right, borrowing."
Tony looked a little embarrassed. He hurriedly swung the greatsword at the Guard Commander. The Guard Commander raised an arm to block, only for the Vibranium greatsword to carve directly into it.
"Good sword. It’s mine now."
Rather than being alarmed, the Guard Commander was delighted. It trapped the Vibranium greatsword with its arm, then smashed its other fist toward Tony’s arm.
Tony’s chest lit up with a dazzling red glow. A massive High-Temperature Light Beam then struck the Guard Commander, blasting it fiercely away.
The Guard Commander slid dozens of meters across the ground, leaving behind two deep furrows before it came to a stop. It lowered its head to glance at its partially melted chest, then shouted at Tony, "I underestimated you a little, but only a little."
"Are you sure you’re talking to me? Or is your brain made entirely of metal?"
Tony snorted and charged toward the Guard Commander with thunderous steps. The Guard Commander roared and charged back. At that moment, three Vibranium coins shot over in succession, blasting the Guard Commander backward repeatedly and leaving three holes in its body.
Tony took the opportunity to slide forward and slash at the Guard Commander’s knee. Its leg was severed instantly, and with a boom, it dropped to one knee.
Tony stopped, turned, leaped up, and swung his sword down at the Guard Commander’s back. The Guard Commander twisted and fell backward, then punched Tony away with tremendous force, sending parts flying everywhere.
Next, the Guard Commander recalled its lower leg and placed it against the wound, intending to reattach it. At that moment, the Vibranium coins attacked again, blasting the lower leg away with a boom.
The Guard Commander was enraged and was about to deal with Electro when Tony rushed over and knocked it down, then drove the greatsword down with all his strength.
The Guard Commander rolled aside, then pushed off the ground and launched a flying kick at Tony’s right calf. Tony crashed down with a boom. The Guard Commander rolled over and mounted him, delivering a barrage of heavy punches that sent Veronica’s parts flying everywhere.
"I should’ve embezzled enough for a Vibranium shell. Damn Wakanda, why wouldn’t they sell me more Vibranium? Was I short on money?"
Tony cursed, then fired another High-Temperature Light Beam from his chest, blasting the Guard Commander into the sky.
Seeing the Guard Commander at a disadvantage, the three Metal Demons hurried over to assist. At that moment, a skeleton burning with blue flames blocked their path.
"This path is closed."
Damon gave a savage grin and swung his magic chain hard at the three Metal Demons. The Metal Demons did not dodge at all. Instead, one grabbed the magic chain and endured the pain of the flames burning it as it yanked Damon over.
The other two Metal Demons raised their fists at the same time, preparing to teach Damon a lesson.
"You are guilty."
Damon’s hollow eyes stared into the Metal Demon’s eyes. The Metal Demon immediately recalled its entire life, and then its soul burst into raging flames.
The other two Metal Demons did not notice anything wrong with their companion. They both punched Damon’s body hard, sending him flying as his bones scattered everywhere.
While cleaning up the remaining human suicide squad members, Mindy cheered, "Wow, Dad, you got smashed to pieces."
"Is that something to be happy about? You really are my biological daughter."
Damon was speechless. Then, all the bones gathered together. Blue flames flashed, and Damon returned to normal.
"An immortal body, Penance Stare—you’re Ghost Rider."
The two Metal Demons discovered that their companion was already dead, then saw Damon’s immortal body. They were immediately shocked.
Ghost Rider was a truly renowned figure in Hell.
"Correct answer, but there’s no prize."
Damon grinned and swung his magic chain at the Metal Demons again. So what if they were Hell demons? He killed demons.
At the same time, Strange desperately cast spells, trying to close the spatial rift in the middle.
Under the pressure of Space Magic, the spatial rift expanded and contracted erratically, looking extremely unstable. The Hell demons on the other side roared continuously, but none dared cross through.
The spatial rift was simply too dangerous now.
"No one can stop the descent of Shadow Hell. No one."
Seeing the spatial rift being blocked, the Shadow Demon God Believer roared and jumped into the Altar, sacrificing his life. The Altar’s demonic flames flared wildly, and the spatial rift in the sky rapidly expanded until even Strange could no longer hold it back.
"Sorry, I never intended to hold it back. This is a Space Bomb I learned from Doom. Please enjoy."
Strange snorted. His magic power exploded violently, instantly destroying the spatial rift and turning it into a Space Storm that swept through the surrounding area.
The Altar on the ground was swept away by the Space Storm and vanished completely. Then a massive crater over a hundred meters wide appeared in the ground, a horrifying sight.
"Finally dealt with one."
Strange breathed a sigh of relief, then turned his gaze toward the Fake Nose Demon God Believer’s Altar and began casting again.
"I’m not some weakling like that one."
The Fake Nose Demon God Believer sneered and controlled the insect-made black mist to attack Strange. Strange hurriedly released defensive magic to block it.
Strange was certainly stronger than the Fake Nose Demon God Believer, but he had consumed too much magic power just now. At present, he could only barely match his opponent. Then Little Hela’s shout suddenly came from behind him: "Get out here."
As she shouted, Little Hela fired a ball of light toward an empty space ahead. The next moment, a figure holding twin daggers and resembling a stick figure appeared before everyone’s eyes, destroying the light ball with one dagger.
"You can actually detect me?"
The stick figure was somewhat surprised. He was the Shadow Prince, here to obtain the Demon King’s reincarnation for his father.
After the spatial rift appeared, the Shadow Prince had relied on a treasure to cross through it immediately and sneak into the hospital. As for the demons beyond the rift roaring nonstop, they had merely been putting on a show.
The Shadow Prince had intended to silently seize the Demon King’s reincarnation, but Little Hela had discovered him ahead of time, causing his plan to fail.
"Something that disgusting is hard not to notice."
Little Hela snorted. At the same time, the ten Drone Armors stationed behind her all opened fire on the Shadow Prince, bullets pouring toward him in a dense barrage.
The Shadow Prince sneered and spread his hands. The bullets entered his body and instantly disappeared, as though he were a bottomless hole.
Seeing this, the Drone Armors immediately launched missiles, but the result was the same. Then, the shadows behind them suddenly stood up on their own, wielding Shadow Blades as they stabbed viciously into the Drone Armors’ backs.
All ten Drone Armors suffered devastating damage at once. Fortunately, they were not destroyed, and they turned to battle the ten shadows.
"So strong."
Quicksilver could not help swallowing. His feet silently gathered power, ready to flee with Little Hela and Lina.
"Electro, hurry and support the delivery room. I’ll handle this big guy."
After hearing Friday’s alert, Tony hurriedly shouted. Though Madame Gao, Colleen, and angels were inside the delivery room, worry clouded his judgment, and he could not feel at ease.
Besides, nothing could happen to Lina or Little Hela, or he would not be able to answer to Bert.
"Okay—"
Electro was about to agree when Wang Bert’s voice suddenly sounded by his ear. Electro sighed in relief and said, "Don’t worry, they’re fine over there. Your son is being protected by the reincarnated God."
Tony froze. Just as he was about to ask what that meant, bang—his distraction allowed the Guard Commander to smash him away with its own lower leg. Tony cursed and focused on dealing with the bastard.
