Minato Namikaze’s New Ability
Minato Namikaze’s adaptability was still very strong.
Shen Mo’s existence had brought tremendous changes to the world.
He himself could even be resurrected in the form of a Heroic Spirit.
These shocking facts had already been laid out before him.
He could already foresee that he would likely face even more intense challenges than before.
However—
Minato Namikaze tightened his embrace around his son slightly. That tangible warmth made him feel as though no matter what he had to face or sacrifice, it was all insignificant.
"Minato." Jiraiya walked over, looked him over, and broke into a broad smile. "You really look exactly the same as you did more than ten years ago."
"Master Jiraiya."
Looking at Jiraiya’s face, far older than he remembered, Minato Namikaze felt waves of warmth rise within him.
His gaze then swept over the others nearby.
Though they had all changed greatly, he still recognized every one of them.
Comrades from the past.
At last, his gaze settled on Kakashi.
"Kakashi." Minato’s face was full of surprise. "You’ve grown so tall."
"Master Minato." Kakashi rubbed the back of his head, looking unexpectedly bashful.
Memories of the past surged forth like a tide as well.
"So you’re Kakashi-sensei’s teacher, Dad." Naruto raised his head at that moment, as if he had only just learned this, then glared at Kakashi and complained, "Listen, Dad, Kakashi-sensei is way too biased. During the Chunin Exams, he only taught Sasuke and not me. He’s late for every mission, and every day he only knows how to spend time with Sister Rin—"
Thump—
Minato Namikaze lightly chopped Naruto on the head. "Naruto, you can’t talk about your teacher like that."
"Okay…" Naruto lowered his head, but his face was full of smiles.
To him, every interaction between father and son was incredibly novel, including that complaint just now.
Only after losing something—
did one understand what it truly meant to cherish it.
"If that’s the case, then Rin also…" Minato Namikaze looked at Kakashi again, his expression becoming even more delighted.
"That’s right. Rin was also resurrected earlier through a treasure from the Jars. It was a real resurrection, except she’s still the age she was back then." By the end, Kakashi seemed a little helpless.
"I see… That’s truly wonderful." Minato Namikaze murmured softly. Looking at Shen Mo, he suddenly pressed a hand on Naruto’s head, bent down, and said with heartfelt gratitude, "I truly, truly thank you for bringing all of this."
That gratitude came from the bottom of his heart.
Whether it was his student’s resurrection or being able to protect his child, these were miracles he had sincerely prayed for but never believed could come true.
"You paid the price and gambled on fate. Then you can obtain what you desire." Shen Mo merely smiled. "That is the Merchant Guild’s rule."
That was how he saw it now.
In the future, these elites of the Ninja World would very likely have to work in other worlds to earn money.
Resurrecting Minato Namikaze was naturally beneficial to him.
There were even the elites of previous generations from the other Ninja Villages.
They could feel happy, Shen Mo could make money, and the Merchant Guild could continue expanding.
Wasn’t that double the happiness?
"But not everything can be achieved just by paying a price." Minato Namikaze raised his head and spoke softly. "The hope you have brought is the most precious thing to us."
He rubbed Naruto’s head, already longing to resurrect his wife and reunite his family.
Shen Mo said nothing more.
Where there was desire, there was motivation.
Shen Mo looked over Minato Namikaze and said with apparent interest, "Heroic Spirits appearing in other worlds are rare. Judging by your condition, your Class should be Assassin—the Assassin Class, right?"
All he needed was an investigation to learn the other’s information.
"That’s right." Minato Namikaze nodded. "That is my Class."
"Is Assassin the direction Shen Mo mentioned just now?" Tsunade asked curiously. "So your strength in assassination has increased, while your abilities in other areas have weakened?"
The others also focused their attention.
They were all curious about Minato Namikaze’s current identity.
This existence known as a Heroic Spirit.
After all, it concerned whether Konoha had gained another powerful combat force.
"It seems so." Minato Namikaze raised his hand. "I can still use most Ninjutsu, but larger-scale Ninjutsu are greatly weakened. Smaller Ninjutsu, on the other hand, such as the Rasengan—"
As his voice fell, a whirlwind suddenly rose above his palm, forming a small, rapidly spinning ball of Chakra.
"This feeling…" Jiraiya leaned closer.
"The form hasn’t changed much, but its destructive power has increased significantly," Minato Namikaze said.
"I understand. It’s equivalent to strengthening close-range assassination abilities." Tsunade nodded, seeming to understand.
"Isn’t that a good thing?" Jiraiya slapped Minato Namikaze on the shoulder. "You were already the Agility type, after all."
"Indeed." Minato Namikaze said somewhat sheepishly, "I’ve never been good at Ninjutsu that consume large amounts of Chakra. In my current state, my overall strength should have increased. But if I faced something like the Nine-Tails…"
The corner of Minato Namikaze’s mouth twitched.
He seemed unwilling to recall that scene.
An assassin who had put all his points into Agility, facing a giant monster like the Nine-Tails that had no weaknesses and could not be killed.
He was completely countered.
Even Rasa, with his original strength, could suppress the rampaging One-Tails Shukaku several times. Yet the Kage who died sealing a Tailed Beast was Minato Namikaze.
"Someone like you is rather suited for the Assassin series of Jars," Shen Mo murmured.
"I can buy Jars too?" Minato Namikaze seemed somewhat surprised.
Because he was no longer truly alive.
He even needed Naruto to provide him with a certain amount of Chakra.
"In our Merchant Guild, the basic requirement for trading isn’t whether one is alive, but whether one possesses self-awareness." Shen Mo explained casually, his gaze falling on the blade pouch at Minato Namikaze’s waist. "Come to think of it, that Kunai of yours is your Noble Phantasm, isn’t it?"
"Yes."
Minato Namikaze took out his Flying Thunder God Kunai.
Shen Mo conducted an investigation.
The information on the entire Noble Phantasm appeared in his mind.
Name: Twirling Hurricane Whirlwind Third Form
Rank: B
Type: Anti-Unit Noble Phantasm
Effect: Enter a high-frequency teleportation state that cannot be tracked, allowing several hundred powerful omnidirectional attacks against a single enemy within a few seconds. This Noble Phantasm had incredibly high burst damage.
However, it seemed to be countered terribly by abilities like Obito’s Phasing, or the Nature-Nature Fruit’s ability to negate physical attacks.
