Moving the Island

Originally, Yota had not had much need for things like gold. After all, he used to be alone—if he was fed, the whole family was fed.

But later, when he prepared to develop artificial Devil Fruits to raise the potential of humanity in the Naruto World, things became different.

Everyone knew that scientific research was a bottomless pit, especially something as high-end as artificial Devil Fruits.

Yota did not want to produce a mountain of defective products, either. He had already come up with a solution for the bizarre and terrible side effects that could occur after eating artificial Devil Fruits.

Those who ate Zoan-type artificial Devil Fruits often grew all sorts of strange limbs. Sometimes, they even grew entire animals. Yota had once seen an absolute freak in Kaido’s zoo—a person growing inside a hippopotamus’s mouth.

Honestly, Yota felt that if one had to end up looking like that, they might as well become one of the so-called Pleasures.

Still, while Yota’s research abilities were not particularly strong by Pirate World standards, he had plenty of crooked ideas. Since eating artificial Devil Fruits based on other animals caused strange limbs to grow, why not simply eat a Human-Human Fruit instead?

Thus, Yota immediately thought of his former test-drug deer—cross that out—his good friend, Chopper, who had eaten the Human-Human Fruit and taken on a commoner form—cross that out.

Of course, a certain Rubber Man was also on his planning board. After all, Chopper was still an animal that had eaten a Human-Human Fruit, not a human who had eaten one. There might be other issues with his bloodline genes.

He just did not know whether the Nika Fruit could be artificially produced…

As Yota idly entertained these thoughts, he slowly walked toward the fragment of Shandora.

By then, waves of clamor had already risen from Jaya Island, along with roars and angry curses. Yota lightly swept the area with his Observation Haki and saw the natives of Jaya Island fiercely arguing with the Sky Islanders, nearly coming to blows.

Now that he had absorbed the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, the former drawback of Yota’s Observation Haki—its narrow range—had long since been completely remedied. With a casual sweep, nowhere on the entire Sky Island could hide from him.

"Not bad luck… all the Jaya Island residents are here!" Yota smiled faintly. Then he threw back his head and roared, transforming into a giant dragon and soaring into the sky.

Hearing the dragon’s roar, the arguing Jaya Island residents and Sky Islanders all looked up in astonishment. They saw the Eight-Headed Dragon God that had left such a deep impression on them.

Then they watched as the dragon drew in a slight breath before suddenly exhaling countless whirlwinds, blowing all the Sky Islanders—clearly separated from the Jaya Island residents—into the air.

Yota then lightly flicked his tail. With a cracking sound, he swept the massive vine tree at the very center of Jaya Island cleanly in two.

A thunderous rumble sounded. A small palace fell from the broken vine tree, and Yota immediately used Flame Cloud to catch both the palace and the half of the tree, lowering them slowly to the ground.

"That is…" The Jaya Island residents, who had been terrified and on the verge of fleeing for their lives, stared blankly at the palace descending from the sky—especially at the object gleaming with golden light.

"The Golden Bell, it can’t be mistaken! That’s the legendary Golden Bell… Has the light of Shandora finally appeared again?"

Ignoring the Jaya Island residents, who were laughing and crying and had even forgotten Yota’s terrifying body, Yota casually swept up the Poneglyph beneath the Golden Bell with black mist.

Then Yota used Flame Cloud again, wrapping it around the entire fragment of Jaya Island. With a long roar, he lifted the entire island into the air.

The Shandora residents, who had been caught up in excitement, finally changed expressions. One of the strongest-looking men ran over to Yota in several strides and loudly asked, "Lord Dragon, where are you taking Jaya Island?"

Yota looked at the burly man in surprise. He seemed to vaguely remember this guy appearing in the manga? He was probably that great warrior called Wyper or something?

When Yota had appeared on Sky Island in the form of the Eight-Headed Dragon God, aside from Enel, who had no idea of the immensity of heaven and earth, not a single Sky Islander had dared approach him, much less speak to him.

Still, Yota did not hide anything. He answered directly, his voice booming through the sky like thunder. "People of Shandora, hold on tight. I will send Jaya Island down to the Blue Sea, your homeland!"

Upon hearing Yota’s words, the people of Shandora looked at one another, and joy appeared on all their faces.

On the Blue Sea, Jaya Island, Mock Town.

"Still nothing… Is the so-called City of Gold really just a lie, a legend born from speculation?"

A tall, powerfully built man with an enormous chestnut growing from his head swam out of the sea. He clung to his ship, panted a few times, looked up at the sky, and murmured.

"The right eye of the skull… If it didn’t fall into the sea, could it have flown into the sky? Ah, Ancestor Noland, what sort of riddles did you leave us? Or were you really just a liar?"

As the man sighed, his two assistants—men who resembled Masira and Shoujou and were also named Masira and Shoujou—suddenly shouted.

"Captain, Captain, come look! An island is flying down from the sky!"

"What nonsense are you talking about?" The captain lying on the deck rolled his eyes. "An island can fly down from the sky? Don’t tell me you really believe those Sky Island legends… Damn! An island really is flying down!"

The three men and a group of crew members stared at the island flying ever closer, their mouths hanging open and their eyes bulging. After a moment, Masira scratched his head and said, "Isn’t that island getting bigger and bigger? Why do I feel like it’s landing right on top of us?"

"No, that’s not a feeling. It is landing right on top of us," Shoujou answered with certainty.

"So it wasn’t just my imagination…"

"What are you two still standing around for? Row, now! Do you want to get flattened by an island?" the captain, who had finally recovered his senses, shouted.

"Ah! Right, it’s landing on us! Run for your lives!"

The group immediately descended into chaos. Some raised the anchor, some hoisted the sails, and some rowed with all their might. Nearly risking their lives, they managed to get the entire ship out of the island’s landing zone.

Just as they rowed beyond the island’s landing range, the whole small island crashed down onto Jaya Island with a thunderous boom. It fit perfectly, merging into one with Jaya Island. The captain even discovered that the half-house he lived in and the half-house on the fallen island had joined together into one complete, normal house.
