Multiverse, Starting by Making Delta of Fate, the Group Chat Went Wild

Multiverse, Starting by Making Delta of Fate, the Group Chat Went Wild. Author: Long Night Sauce

After transmigrating into the Type-Moon world, Lin Zhen obtained the True-False Dao Fruit. Only by gaining influence could he attain the Dao and become immortal.

Wouldn’t making games do the trick?

Holy Grail War + a heavily modified version of Delta Force, activated!

Misaka Mikoto: Was that CS player picking Archer to camp the bridge again?

Archer: …

Kazuma Satou: That damn planner updated the game!

Kirito: Is the new map Secret Babylon?

Mahiro Oyama: Being a planner means becoming everyone’s punching bag for a day.

Gilgamesh: Mongrels, what are you trying to do?

Many years later, as players continued playing,

Lin Zhen’s strength soared, and he directly attained the Grand Dao, becoming invincible in the world.

Then someone suddenly came to tell him that Humanity’s Foundation was about to be destroyed?

Lin Zhen said there was no need for him to act at all.

—Go talk to my Grand Order Players!

Attaining the Grand Dao at the Start

London, Clock Tower.

In the cicada-filled summer, the private research room of the Department of Spiritual Evocation was somewhat cool.

"I succeeded."

Lin Zhen raised his hand, and the space before him shifted freely. What twisted was not space.

It was "reality" and "existence"!

As a transmigrator, he had spent ten years researching himself and had finally developed his own cheat.

Illusion-Reality Magic!

Rather than magic, it was more like… a Dao Fruit from a cultivation system!

The Illusion-Reality Dao Fruit!

The Dao was equal to heaven, far surpassing any method.

Its core ability was outrageously powerful.

Refining illusion into reality, turning falsehood back into truth!

Lin Zhen brought his hands together, and the inexplicable phenomenon vanished.

From that moment onward,

he was practically "invincible."

But there was still some distance to go before he became truly "invincible."

He could no longer be killed or injured by any external force.

No one could affect his "internal causes."

Anything within the scope of his consciousness and understanding could be defined by him as "false."

Lin Zhen closed his eyes.

To achieve true invincibility, he had to expand the scope of his "consciousness" into genuine "omniscience."

The day he attained omniscience would be the day he attained omnipotence!

What he needed most now was

to turn falsehood into truth on a massive scale!

"Knock, knock."

A knock sounded, followed by a crisp young woman’s voice.

"Director Kischur Zelretch wants to see you."

"Snap."

Lin Zhen lightly snapped his fingers. The access control unlocked, and the door opened automatically.

A petite blonde girl stood at the doorway.

Leinys wore an inscrutable smile as she praised him.

"Lin Zhen, even I couldn’t undo the defensive measures of the magecraft workshop you constructed."

Lin Zhen smiled and brushed his hand over the mahogany door, revealing its true nature: a custom-made Eastern stainless-steel security door.

"Because the core is concealed."

"Oh…?"

Leinys reached out and elegantly pressed her pale fingertips against the door, lightly tracing the faint ancient-brown symbols written in cinnabar.

They were not Rune Symbols, but Chinese symbols compiled by Lin Zhen.

"Is this the result you, once hailed by the Clock Tower as a ‘Grand Order’ prodigy, spent ten years creating?"

"You could say that."

Lin Zhen nodded. Truth and falsehood were indistinguishable, reality and illusion unfathomable. As a transmigrator, he possessed countless "truths" unique to himself.

Language was one of them.

The Chinese of the world before his transmigration differed from the Chinese of this world, and only he knew that difference.

The magecraft core constructed from it could not be falsified by any means. In the end, it was both "true" and "false."

Right and wrong, cause and effect, illusion and reality, truth and falsehood—

all of it was fabricated by Lin Zhen himself.

It was impossible for outsiders, external objects, or the outside world to break through it.

"Oh…?"

Leinys was immensely curious. She sat down, her slender legs clad in black stockings pressed together without a gap.

"Can you tell me about it?"

Leinys would never make such an impolite request of an ordinary person. Every achievement between magi was a secret and could not be probed into.

But she knew that Lin Zhen was an exception.

"Sure."

Lin Zhen did not hold the backward notions of traditional magi.

After graduating from graduate school in his previous life, he had joined a laboratory. He understood that only through discussion, sharing, and mutual learning with outstanding people could great progress be made. Hoarding one’s own knowledge would only lead to decay and decline.

He cleared his throat and began explaining the essence of the True-False, Illusion-Reality Grand Dao he had initially attained.

"Truth does not exist; it is merely a mirror image cast by waves of consciousness, an illusory shadow condensed into the hard core of obsession. Falsehood is not nonexistence; it is the abyssal sea yet to be illuminated, chaos surging beneath the dark currents as it awaits manifestation…"

Leinys froze at once. She considered herself quite intelligent, but the information contained in those words was simply impossible to comprehend in a short time.

Lin Zhen continued.

"…Where being and nonbeing arise together, those attached to appearances drown in the rapids of names and forms, while those who break free of attachment sink into the cold pool of emptiness. In truth, there is neither truth nor falsehood; only waves of awareness arising and fading, all falsehood within falsehood."

As he spoke,

the air trembled slightly. In truth, space was shaking. With the room’s miniature world as its core, intense tremors erupted.

Leinys’s head began to swell and ache, and her eyes turned red. Her Mystic Eyes went berserk, and she began breathing faintly harder.

"Stop… stop… please, stop."

Still wanting more, Lin Zhen halted his sermon.

"You should be able to endure more."

Leinys drew a light breath. She took a bottle of specially made eye drops from her clothes and applied them to her eyes. Only after resting for a while did she gradually recover somewhat.

"Hah…"

She wiped away the mixture of eye drops and tears.

"You… what exactly is the essence of this magecraft?"

Lin Zhen lightly tapped the wooden armrest of his chair with his index finger and calmly said,

"Language carries too little information. To tell you even a tiny part of it through language, I would have to explain the Dao to you continuously. With your talent… ten years would be the minimum."

"Ten years…?"

Leinys stared at him with gemlike eyes, looking as though she were saying, If you want to kill me, just say so.

"Even ten years might not be enough for you to understand part of it."

Lin Zhen spread his palms. He had now transcended the world and attained the fruit of the Grand Dao.

But sharing it was not so simple. Even if he wished to share it, there might not be a single person in the entire world capable of understanding it.

Leinys sighed, looking as though she had given up.

"Forget it."

Lin Zhen asked,

"Oh, didn’t you say he was looking for me? What does he want?"

"He said he was preparing to go to some countryside to participate in a ritual."

Leinys leaned forward, pressing her index finger against Lin Zhen’s face.

"So it’s the same old topic. He wants to persuade you to give up this unrealistic research and inherit his work."

The inheritance of a magus’s research

was even closer than inheritance by blood. It meant Kischur Zelretch regarded Lin Zhen as his next successor.

Lin Zhen did not particularly reject it, but he was not very interested either. He had his own path to walk.

"Tell him I’m still working on my own research. I’m busy and don’t have time."

"I knew that would be your answer."

Leinys suddenly stood and walked to his side. One knee pressed onto his thigh, while her hands circled around his neck.

"Won’t you really consider it? I don’t think you fail to understand what this means. You would become the next Lord of El-Melloi."

Lin Zhen caught the faint fragrance of the girl’s body.

"I’m not interested in that."

When he had conducted academic research before, he might have needed funding or status to overcome various hurdles.

But researching the Grand Dao did not actually require such things.

Leinys leaned close to his ear, her tone slightly moist and sticky.

"Then… you would have me, too?"

Lin Zhen looked at her face, then swept his gaze over her chest.

"Wait a few more years."

"…"

Leinys lowered her head and fell into a long silence. Then she slowly climbed off Lin Zhen, left the room, gently closed the door behind her, and departed with heavy footsteps.

"Snap."

Lin Zhen snapped his fingers and reactivated the access control.
