Nami’s Jars Series

The One Piece World and the Naruto world were different.

This much could vaguely be guessed even before Shen Mo arrived.

In this vast world filled with all kinds of wonders, there had always been countless treasures.

Fruits that granted miraculous powers when eaten, the time-distorting Rainbow Mist, Sky Islands amid the clouds…

There was a saying on the Grand Line.

One had to abandon all past experience and common sense, because anything was possible there.

This might make it more difficult for him to fool people.

Although Shen Mo already had a rough plan, before that, he still needed to see how people in this world reacted to the Jars before deciding what to do next.

Nami nervously opened her first Jar.

Inside was a ball of light.

"What is this? It’s so amazing." Her eyes widened at once.

"Touch it, and you’ll know," Shen Mo said.

Nami cautiously reached out. The instant the ball of light merged into her body, information flooded into her mind.

Information about magic.

The Jars Shen Mo had prepared for Nami belonged to the Mage Series.

She did not possess exceptional physical strength or outstanding close-combat talent, but she had far more knowledge than ordinary people and excelled at flexibly applying all sorts of knowledge in battle. No matter how one looked at it, she was a natural-born mage.

At that moment, Nami’s eyes sparkled.

"Magic? There’s really power like that? Like the Magus from legends?"

Though it was only simple information, she could still grasp some of magic’s wonders from it.

"It’s normal that you haven’t heard of it," Shen Mo said. "Because the items inside these Jars were never powers from this world."

"Not from this world…" Nami suddenly turned her head, staring wide-eyed at Shen Mo. "What do you mean, not powers from this world?"

"Didn’t I mention it?" Shen Mo raised an eyebrow. "I’m a Traveling Merchant from the New World."

"No, no, no, you absolutely never said that."

Nami shook her head repeatedly, yet she seemed to grow even more excited.

Ever since she had personally experienced the wonder of the first Jar, she had realized that she might have encountered an incredible opportunity.

"Continue." Shen Mo merely smiled as he watched her.

Nami opened the second Jar. Inside was another ball of light.

This time, she absorbed it directly without waiting for Shen Mo to say anything.

Then, she felt heat course through her entire body.

It was as if a warm current flowed through every inch of her, leaving her tingling and numb. She could clearly feel her strength increasing.

The third, the fourth…

Most of the Mage Series consisted of balls of light. There was also knowledge recorded in books, along with some items that looked remarkably magical.

After opening all ten Jars, Nami looked at her own body in disbelief.

She had truly become stronger.

She could feel it. After opening merely ten Jars, her strength had clearly increased considerably. And if the information in her mind was true, even more miraculous powers should await her ahead.

This was only the tip of the iceberg.

"Then make your decision."

With a wave of Shen Mo’s hand, the unfinished delicacies on the table vanished.

Nami raised her head and swallowed, seemingly realizing what she needed to decide.

"How much treasure will you use to buy Jars?" Shen Mo picked up his cat, his smile seeming somewhat mysterious. "I must remind you that if you want to defeat Arlong, unless you open some powerful Grand Prize, even all the treasure you currently possess combined might not be enough."

"A Grand Prize?" Nami asked.

"That’s right, a Grand Prize." Shen Mo nodded. "You should have already noticed that the function and value of the item in every Jar are random. You might find a powerful treasure, or you might get something entirely ordinary. That is what I mean by luck."

Everything Nami had opened so far was ordinary. There had been no Grand Prize.

However, as Shen Mo sensed her heart, he felt that perhaps it did not matter whether there was a Grand Prize or not.

"Powerful treasures… Even just these are already incredible." Nami looked at the empty Jars, unable to hide the excitement in her gaze. "Mom once told me that on this sea, there were treasures that could make someone incredibly powerful in an instant. Over the years, I sometimes had little hopes of my own…"

"It seems you’ve already made your decision." Shen Mo smiled.

He did not ask Nami again how many Jars she had decided to buy.

He had originally thought she would hesitate.

But the moment she saw an opportunity, the hatred buried deep within her for the Arlong Pirates, who had killed her loved ones, surged forth.

One hundred million Beli—would she use it to honor the agreement and buy back the village, or use it to strengthen herself and take revenge?

There had only ever been one choice.

"If these are the kinds of Jars they are, then you can take all my money." Nami clenched her fists tightly. "If one hundred million isn’t enough, then I’ll earn even more!"

What agreement? It was nothing more than a helpless measure taken when she lacked strength.

And with strength, earning money would become easier. Having worked as a thief among pirates for years, Nami understood the laws of the sea better than anyone.

With strength, one could have everything.

Shen Mo raised a hand and tapped lightly. Information about the Jars immediately appeared in Nami’s mind.

The series of the Jars, their levels, how many needed to be purchased to become a member…

"What? If you had such a simple method, why didn’t you use it earlier?" Nami’s eyes seemed to shine. With her intelligence, she quickly understood what this meant.

A path to rapid strength!

Shen Mo understood.

This One Piece World was different from the Naruto world.

Under the order of this world, the strong had clear ways to make money. They could become pirates and plunder villages, become bounty hunters and capture pirates, rob criminals, or search for treasure…

Just as Nami was thinking at that moment.

With strength came everything. The sea itself was a place where people killed and plundered one another. From the moment they set sail, all that awaited them was battle, becoming stronger, and death!

I don’t need to deliberately guide anyone at all. I only need to let people see hope of becoming stronger, and countless people will come flocking here like mad, Shen Mo thought. He turned his head and looked through the tavern window at the sky.

Because this world itself was already a game approaching completion.

Competition was everywhere.

"Hey, mister." Nami suddenly leaned closer, wearing a flattering smile she had clearly worked hard to put on. "If I buy so many at once, can’t you give me a discount?"

Shen Mo silently raised a curled finger.

Nami immediately covered her forehead and took two steps back.

Her face was full of heartache.

How could this be? Not even the slightest discount.

She took a deep breath and shouted resolutely:

"I’ll use all my treasure, all my money, all of it, to buy Jars!"
