Neji’s Desire (Five Updates Complete)

"Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!"

The attack had begun and ended so quickly that it took the Stone Ninja three to five seconds to finally feel the searing pain.

But unfortunately, it was already too late.

The unlucky man writhed in agony on the ground for two or three full minutes before finally drawing his last breath.

"Whew… You got here just in time! If you’d been any later, you could’ve just collected our bodies."

Seeing the powerful enemy reduced to a corpse in two pieces, Tenten immediately slumped to the ground, completely drained and with no regard for her ladylike image.

To be honest, facing an opponent at the level of a Special Jonin for the first time was an enormous burden for a novice like her. One careless mistake, and she could have been pierced by a blade.

"Sorry. Something held me up for a bit."

Allen unceremoniously picked up the sword from the dead man’s hand—the one capable of conducting Chakra—and claimed it for himself.

Although the epic weapons dropped in Dungeons could provide a great deal of additional attribute points, and far surpassed this world’s swords in both sharpness and durability, they could not conduct Chakra.

He intended to find an opportunity to study it and see whether he could add the ability to conduct Chakra to Dungeon weapons without changing their attributes.

"Hurry up and treat me! I feel like I can’t hold on much longer."

Having lost too much blood, Rock Lee’s face was deathly pale as he pleaded in a feeble voice.

"Bear with it!"

Allen swiftly switched to Nen Mode and wrapped the wounds in Enhancement aura. Before long, the blade wounds had healed seven or eight-tenths of the way.

When he turned around to treat Neji as well, he found the Hyuga Clan boy staring fixedly at him with his pale eyes.

"Is there something you want to tell me?" Allen asked uncertainly.

"I want to know how you became so strong so quickly," Neji answered, clenching his fists tightly.

As one of the few companions who had personally watched Allen go from barely being able to Extracting Chakra to where he was now, he simply could not understand why Allen’s strength had grown at such a terrifying pace, or how he had even developed powerful ninjutsu unique to himself.

Combined with his incomparable hostility and hatred toward the main family, emotions called envy and jealousy blazed fiercely within his chest.

He longed to grow stronger!

He longed for the power to change his fate!

That was everything Neji pursued at this stage!

Realizing this, Allen replied meaningfully, "If you want to know the truth, come find me alone after we return to the village. I’ll give you an answer that satisfies you."

"Promise?"

"Promise!"

Having received the answer he wanted, Neji’s tense expression finally relaxed slightly.

Soon afterward, under Allen’s treatment, his injuries were properly healed as well.

However, it would likely take quite some time for the blood he had lost to recover.

As for the battles of Might Guy, Genma Shiranui, and Kurenai Yuhi, there was no need for anyone else to intervene.

Before long, they returned carrying the corpses of their respective opponents.

At this point, the elite Stone Ninja force sent to ambush Konoha’s patrol squad had been completely wiped out. Even Huang Tu’s own son had become a cocoon inside Red Dragon’s stomach. Their losses were devastating.

When the group returned to camp, they were immediately treated like heroes.

Allen in particular, who had independently killed the Third Tsuchikage’s son while still a genin, instantly became the center of attention.

Some even began comparing him to famous jonin, believing that this orphan taken in by the Third Hokage had the potential to become a powerful figure capable of leading Konoha against foreign enemies.

Just as the situation in the Land of Grass was looking excellent, the Third Hokage, far away in the office building of Konoha Village in the Land of Fire, promptly received the report sent back from the front through a summoning technique.

When he saw that Huang Tu, who had caused their side enormous trouble during the Third Shinobi World War, had been killed by Allen, he froze in shock. He did not even notice his pipe falling to the floor.

"What’s wrong? Have the Stone Ninja made some new move?" Kou asked with a puzzled expression.

Ever since this old companion of hers had become Hokage, this was the first time she had seen him lose his composure so badly.

"Hahahaha! No! Of course not! On the contrary, it’s good news. Here, take a look. I can’t believe that child has grown to this extent without anyone noticing." The Third Hokage tossed the report onto the table and burst into delighted laughter.

Though he had done quite a few immoral things in private, he had indeed put great effort into nurturing Konoha’s younger generation. Otherwise, he would not put aside all his work to give speeches whenever the school term began or graduation season arrived.

Moreover, after Konoha had suffered severe blows from both the Nine-Tails’ Rampage and the Uchiha Clan Downfall in recent years, he hoped more than anyone that a new generation of geniuses would rise.

"Onoki’s son, Huang Tu, was killed? And by that little fellow? Unbelievable! What exactly is this ninjutsu called Thunderbird mentioned in the report? It can instantly kill a jonin?" Kou could not help crying out after reading the report.

"That is precisely what I want to know. No matter what, that child is already one of Konoha’s own. Let’s go. It’s time to head to the Land of Grass and negotiate with the Tsuchikage. Also, tell Shikaku to return Huang Tu’s body to the Stone Ninja first. Let that old fellow Onoki understand that continuing to press the matter will do him no good."

The Third Hokage stroked his chin and swiftly made his judgment on the current situation.

The struggle between the Land of Fire and the Land of Earth over the Land of Grass should come to an end!

You must know that during this period, aside from the Land of Water, which had long been mired in internal conflict, both the Land of Lightning and the Land of Wind had begun to stir restlessly.

"Be careful! That old fellow Onoki isn’t so easy to deal with," Kou could not help reminding him.

But the Third Hokage merely waved a hand with an unconcerned smile. "No, I understand Onoki better than you do. He is a rational man who values his village above everything else. So even though his son Huang Tu is dead, he would never make an impulsive decision that harms the village. We won this clash! He will obediently admit defeat."

Kou nodded thoughtfully. "I hope so. But what are you planning to do about that child? Once this news spreads, he will soon become a target of public criticism. And if Onoki demands that we hand him over as a condition for an exchange, what choice will you make?"

"As I said, the village’s interests take top priority in all things. Under that premise, there is nothing that cannot be sacrificed." The Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, finally revealed the side of himself known as the Shinobi Hero.

He did not notice that as he said this, the Leader, who had remained silent all along, suddenly opened his eyes. The corners of his mouth curled upward in a mocking smile.

Clearly, this "Pot Shadow" saw this matter as an opportunity—an opportunity to recruit a powerful subordinate…
