New Mystic Eye, Eye of Chronos
Pfft! Crack~
A vertical pupil appeared in Bai Cangshu’s forehead. He reached in with his fingers and gouged out the blue-white glowing eyeball within.
This God’s Right Eye could see through Genjutsu and granted a certain degree of enhanced dynamic vision, but it was no longer very useful to Bai Cangshu.
Although the Life Equation cast upon him by the Kryptonians had suppressed his Eternal Regression Ladder, preventing him from forming an internal cycle and undergoing a qualitative transformation of life—
—it had also granted Bai Cangshu a Red Quality trait known as True Will. This trait allowed Bai Cangshu to nullify Genjutsu and will-controlling abilities whose rank did not exceed that of the Life Equation.
This trait was actually terrifying, because the Life Equation itself possessed an extremely high rank and priority.
For example, if Millennium Worm unleashed his Domain Expansion now, his Sound Kill Underworld would no longer be able to use Cursed Speech such as drowsiness or sleep to control Bai Cangshu and make him lose consciousness.
And once such indirect forms of control could no longer restrain Bai Cangshu, Curse Kill attacks from Millennium Worm’s Sound Kill Underworld would be futile against someone with Bai Cangshu’s high-level immortality.
Squelch.
Bai Cangshu pressed a round eyeball into his socket. The next moment, an incomparably clear field of vision unfolded before him.
Through a crack in the wall of the leaning building, he directly saw Parker several kilometers away. The young boy was directing dozens of black spirits, sending them one by one through tiny holes into a skyscraper to check whether there were injured people inside.
After confirming that all was clear, Parker smashed through the wall with a punch and began searching for survivors. This boy, only eight or nine years old, seemed to have matured rapidly after taking on the responsibility of rescue work.
Bai Cangshu’s vision continued to drift upward. Then, more than a dozen floors up in that building, he saw a woman clutching half of a mutilated corpse, weeping bitterly.
That pain continuously invaded Bai Cangshu’s mind. He could even feel just how deeply the woman missed the man in her arms, whose body was all that remained.
The sweeter their love had once been, the more agonizing the divide between life and death was now.
What was more, many people who had perished together had miraculously returned to life. Only those like the man, whose body had been severed by the impact, had truly died.
That made the woman’s heart ache even more bitterly, yet she harbored no resentment.
Because beside her, her young daughter had also been revived by that miracle.
She had received the miracle, but she had also suffered its pain. She could not bring herself to resent it. All she could do was hold her husband’s corpse and resist the grief that kept growing stronger.
Bai Cangshu withdrew his gaze. The novelty of testing his new Pupil Technique had been affected by the woman’s sorrow, and his interest quickly faded.
This special Mystic Eye of Solomon’s was incredibly powerful. Apart from the two potent special effects it could actively unleash, merely equipping it granted a field of vision far beyond that of ordinary eyes.
By Bai Cangshu’s rough estimate, its visual range approached three kilometers. Within that range, there were almost no blind spots, and his vision could move according to his will.
However, controlling this vision was different from using ordinary human eyes. It was more like having an additional switch to operate, and ordinary people would probably need time to adapt.
Bai Cangshu, however, felt little discomfort. After unlocking the Thousand Eyes milestone in the Naruto World, he had gained passive Pupil Technique mastery. At the same time, he could equip and remove Mystic Eyes from his forehead without any loss.
Bai Cangshu then stared at the shattered building before him and activated Future Sight. The world began accelerating in his eyes.
Figures began moving about one after another. Among them were Satoru Gojo, White Face, and the others, as well as surviving Avengers who had found this place.
Scene after scene played like a movie. Bai Cangshu quietly watched the images of the future, his eyes devoid of sorrow or joy.
Finally, after an unknown number of scenes had passed, he saw three figures appear in the abandoned building.
One of the three was enormous, standing more than six meters tall. His entire body was packed with knotted muscles, and his skin carried a grayish-brown sheen. His head was not human in shape, but resembled that of a giant lizard.
His pupils were golden vertical slits, fitting the characteristics of dragons in many Western settings.
This was likely a member of the Primordial Dragon Court, whom the Infinite Dimensional Space had determined would come to pursue the Origin Substance Crimson Hymn.
Since this was Future Sight, Bai Cangshu could not sense their auras. Still, from the distorted force field around the giant man’s body, he could tell that the other party was indeed quite powerful.
The man strode into the building. Rubble rose and floated around him, then he raised a hand toward where Bai Cangshu was currently sitting. The next moment, everything in the space seemed to twist.
A figure was seized from Bai Cangshu’s location out of thin air. Countless fragments of reinforced concrete, broken furniture, and shattered appliances shot outward, piercing straight through that figure.
Bai Cangshu watched with great interest. This dragon probably possessed authority over gravity or gravitation, and his physical strength was also quite formidable.
Then Bai Cangshu shifted his gaze to the two human-sized figures behind him.
The pair had remained within the shadow cast by that enormous fellow. Bai Cangshu focused his gaze and finally saw two Twins with nearly identical figures and appearances, dressed in black and white robes.
The robes seemed to be made from some extremely lightweight silk. Even without wind, they fluttered gently in the air.
Both wore their long hair loose, one black and one white. At that moment, as though they had sensed Bai Cangshu’s vision, they suddenly looked toward his location at the same time.
Their gazes met Bai Cangshu’s eyes as though they had crossed the span of three days.
Bai Cangshu froze. Then all three of his eyes narrowed together, and he smiled.
People capable of seeing through Future Sight…
The black-robed and white-robed pair simultaneously extended their fingers toward Bai Cangshu’s location. Then, powerful black and white radiance erupted. The next moment, the image before Bai Cangshu’s eyes began to shatter.
When it recovered, only the ruins remained in his vision.
The third eye on Bai Cangshu’s forehead closed. Actively using Future Sight through the Eye of Chronos placed an immense burden on both his eye and brain.
"Looks like that group isn’t simple at all~"
The resurrected Satoru Gojo leaned against a broken load-bearing pillar. He seemed to be suppressing the Evil Intent to shatter the pillar and crush the nearby ordinary people to death.
After being twisted by All the World’s Evil, his thoughts had become more cruel and extreme than Artoria’s.
He no longer believed that ordinary people who had shown no kindness possessed any value in continuing to live.
Perhaps he had seen that ordinary people like Cindy and Corey in the One Piece World could also accomplish remarkable things.
Satoru Gojo had warped from the belief that the strong should naturally protect the weak into believing that only weak people possessing such flashes of brilliance deserved protection.
Bai Cangshu nodded without saying anything.
It was also his first time encountering the Primordial Dragon Court. Though they did seem quite strong, they were still far removed from the dragonkind he had imagined.
"No matter. It’s rare for all of you to get a chance to stretch yourselves. If they’re too weak, that would be far too dull~"
As he spoke, Iron Man Tony Stark, his armor covered in scars, descended outside the building. Once his faceplate retracted, his expression was filled with conflict.
"Who… exactly are you?"
