One Against Three

In the void of space, the aura Xiao Hen unleashed startled Corvus Glaive. The man before him possessed an aura no weaker than that of his adoptive father, Thanos. It was clear that his strength was extraordinary.

"Whether you’re strong or not, we’ll only know after we fight!" Corvus Glaive had not been scared into becoming who he was. As a powerhouse who had battled across the cosmos for many years, what formidable opponents had he not seen? Only by fighting could they determine who was stronger.

"Take my axe!" Ignoring Xiao Hen’s overwhelming aura, Corvus Glaive’s own power erupted. He raised the massive axe in his hand and cleaved down at Xiao Hen. Crimson, ferocious energy wrapped around the enormous axe, his own power condensed into the blow to enhance its lethality and destructive force.

"This level of power is somewhat stronger than Cull Obsidian’s, but that’s all."

Xiao Hen raised a hand and extended a single finger from his right hand. A glimmer of light flickered on his index finger. This seemingly fragile finger lightly tapped forward, yet it steadily blocked Corvus Glaive’s savage axe strike.

"No… impossible…" Corvus Glaive froze, his eyes wide. He had already greatly overestimated the man before him, yet this guy had stopped his full-power axe strike with just one finger. How could that be possible?

"What’s impossible about it? It’s merely brute force. You know nothing about power!" Xiao Hen shook his head. Brute force was merely the simplest and most basic way to wield power. Using laws was the supreme method.

His move had looked simple, but anyone capable of doing it had already reached a certain realm in terms of power. Every gesture could carry such immense weight. Without an understanding of laws and energy levels, it was simply impossible.

Thanks to his analysis and research of the four Infinity Stones, his Main God Avatar had attained an exceptionally profound understanding of time, space, power, the mind, and more. As one entity with the avatar, his true body naturally possessed the same understanding and application of these laws. This was fundamental power gained at its root, unlike the Divine Power he had acquired in the past after merging with Godheads. That had merely meant walking the paths forged by others. Now, the Main God Avatar had begun walking the path toward becoming a Supreme God. However, due to having merged with a Main Godhead, he still had a long way to go before breaking free of those shackles and becoming a Supreme God.

"Impossible! Take another axe!"

Corvus Glaive roared and swung his great axe in a rotation. Once the spinning accelerated, its power increased severalfold. The rapidly rotating giant axe came crashing down upon Xiao Hen. The force of this strike far surpassed the previous one, its terrifying might seemingly capable of splitting a planet apart.

And that was indeed true. If that axe struck the ground, the entire Eurasian continental plate would collapse and shatter into pieces.

Yet Xiao Hen, standing opposite Corvus Glaive, remained expressionless. He calmly extended his right palm and gave a light squeeze. The colossal battle axe was caught in his hand, unable to move at all.

"Impossible… How was it caught again?!"

Corvus Glaive panted heavily, staring at Xiao Hen in disbelief. He simply could not imagine how powerful this man truly was. Again and again, Xiao Hen had caught his strongest attacks barehanded. Among all the enemies he had encountered in the universe, he had never seen anything like this. Meeting such an opponent for the first time today filled him with despair. This enemy’s overwhelming presence left him unable to breathe.

"I told you, you know nothing about power." Xiao Hen shook his head and tightened his right hand. With a boom, the enormous battle axe shattered completely, turning into steel fragments that drifted through the void of space. Corvus Glaive trembled all over. Without his weapon, he was like a fish stranded on land, his Combat Power greatly diminished. Facing an enemy as powerful as Xiao Hen, he had no confidence at all. A sudden urge to retreat rose in his heart.

But Thanos’s warship was behind him, and Thanos was watching. Could he run?

Just as he was caught in a dilemma, the doors of Thanos’s warship burst open, and two slender figures flew out.

Those two were none other than Ebony Maw and Proxima Midnight. Ebony Maw held a scepter and looked like a skeleton, gloomy to the extreme. Proxima Midnight wore a cloak that concealed her entire body, with a short sword in her hand.

"You… why are you here?" Corvus Glaive asked, though he inwardly sighed in relief.

"Why are we here?" Ebony Maw said coldly. "If we hadn’t come, you’d have died at his hands! Useless fool!"

"Hmph, you’re talking about me, but didn’t you see how strong this guy is?" Corvus Glaive snapped in embarrassment and anger.

"That only proves your own incompetence!" Ebony Maw snorted.

"Enough, stop arguing. We’ll attack together and kill this guy! Father is still watching from behind us!" A low voice emerged from beneath Proxima Midnight’s cloak. Her figure was somewhat illusory, as though she might vanish at any moment.

"Fine, we’ll attack together!" Although Corvus Glaive had lost his battle axe, he had not completely lost his Combat Power. Hearing this, he clenched his fists, gathered all his strength, and glared furiously at Xiao Hen, ready to avenge the beating he had just received.

"Come on. Killing one is killing, and killing two is killing. Since this is such a hassle, you might as well come at me together and save me the trouble!" Xiao Hen smiled calmly.

"Arrogant!" Ebony Maw sneered. With a movement of his scepter, a fierce wind unexpectedly swept through the void of space. An incomparably dark, corrosive energy spread from his body, amplified through the scepter, and enveloped an area spanning tens of thousands of kilometers, swallowing Xiao Hen within it.

"A spell attack similar to a domain?" Xiao Hen sensed his surroundings. Even his Divine Sense was somewhat hindered, though the effect was negligible. His vision was likewise obscured by the dark and oppressive clouds of energy, but as he had said, it was not a problem. His great power resided within himself; wherever he stood was where his power was strongest. The enemy might arrange the battlefield and create terrain favorable to themselves, but it had little effect on him.

"Hehe, life drain!" Ebony Maw gave a sinister laugh. Looking at Xiao Hen trapped within the dark domain, he raised his scepter and pointed it at him. A black chain shot from the scepter and coiled toward Xiao Hen.

"Tricks!" Xiao Hen looked at the dark chain flying toward him and casually pointed. The chain collapsed, and Ebony Maw’s attack came to nothing.

"Ha! Take my punch!"

Corvus Glaive had already rushed before Xiao Hen. With his massive build, his fist alone was half a meter in diameter as it smashed toward Xiao Hen’s head.

"Get lost!" Xiao Hen kicked out. Corvus Glaive grunted and was sent flying sideways. There was no resistance in space, and Xiao Hen’s kick sent him flying hundreds of kilometers before he barely slowed to a stop.

At that moment, an illusory figure appeared out of thin air behind Xiao Hen, and a razor-sharp blade stabbed toward his back.
