Parker
Boom!
Another explosion rang out. Amid the terrified screams of the crowd, flames began melting the stone slabs and blue bricks in the street, while the blast tore open a shop on the corner.
Two unlucky Black men were sent flying. When they hit the ground, they stared at their broken legs and howled in agony.
The building overhead began to shake as well. This explosion had clearly affected its foundation.
Iron Man cursed under his breath. No longer wasting time arguing with Bai Cangshu, he quickly flew toward the street corner, grabbing stunned pedestrians one by one and carrying them out of the danger zone.
But this was a bustling district to begin with, and people were still pouring out of the building. As the vibrations grew increasingly severe, Iron Man flew up. His AI butler, FRIDAY, immediately identified the building’s load-bearing points, and Iron Man braced one of them, trying to delay its collapse.
Bang!
A massive billboard fell from above, crushing several unlucky people into pulp.
Tony Stark’s expression changed at the sight. Then he looked at Bai Cangshu, who was still standing where he was. After a momentary daze, he steadied his tone and spoke into the microphone.
"Mr. Mercenary Tao, whatever you’re thinking right now, please help with the rescue immediately, all right?!"
Standing in place, Bai Cangshu watched the well-dressed elite reveal panic-stricken expressions when danger appeared. They stood there blankly, utterly at a loss, displaying an ugly side of themselves. Instinctively, a mocking, amused look appeared on his face.
Creak~
With his exceptional hearing, Bai Cangshu could even hear the steel bars inside the building twisting and snapping. As its foundation was damaged, the building’s load-bearing capacity rapidly deteriorated.
And the humans fleeing through the building were accelerating its collapse.
Hearing Iron Man’s words, Bai Cangshu merely shrugged indifferently. He walked into the crowd, weaving around the fleeing people as though he could foresee their movements. Then he tossed away several people who stood within the range of falling debris.
Even with his physical state currently restricted, allowing him to use only around a quarter of his capabilities—
Bai Cangshu still possessed strength beyond ordinary comprehension.
The special feature of the Limiter’s first threshold release was that nothing could restrain it. Even though Bai Cangshu had used Logic and Life Return to control his metabolism and organ functions—
The boost provided by the Limiter’s first threshold release remained unchanged.
Thus, Bai Cangshu’s current Strength was actually 15+61 points, still overwhelmingly greater than that of ordinary humans and reincarnators.
Bang!
With a casual swat, he knocked away a huge falling neon sign. It flew over ten meters and smashed several cars out of shape.
But the boy at his feet, dressed in a child-sized suit, was saved.
The boy had blue eyes and short blond hair, a typical white boy. He was clutching a Hulk toy in his hand, likely another admirer of superheroes.
The terror on his face gradually faded. Then, as he watched the adults on the outskirts scream and flee, he gritted his teeth and followed behind Bai Cangshu.
Bang! Bang!
Bai Cangshu casually tossed people more than ten meters away with effortless movements, and aside from terrified screams, those he threw did not seem to suffer any injuries.
The miraculous sight made the boy’s face flush red, and he actually began to get excited.
"Hey, hey!"
"Are you a new superhero?!"
"You’re incredible! Between you and Hulk, who’s stronger?!"
Bang!
Bai Cangshu casually swept aside a sheet of glass falling toward them. It shattered like fireworks, countless fragments shooting into the sky and striking Iron Man’s armor with a series of clinks and clangs.
Tony Stark was exceedingly anxious. He had already called for the others to come assist with the rescue first, while also trying to get Wanda to restrain the two people underground as quickly as possible.
When he looked up, FRIDAY’s focus drew his attention to the man leisurely tossing people away beneath the building—and the child following beside him.
Tony felt a vein throb at his temple.
"For God’s sake, Mr. Mercenary Tao, get the child at your feet out first, would you?!"
Bai Cangshu raised his head and gave Tony a strange look. He found these foreigners rather strange too, with an inexplicable sense of self-righteousness.
Just because, in their values, children were younger and should not be harmed, he had to save this child first?
They did not even care why this child was following behind him?
What if this boy was smart enough to know that staying at his feet was far safer than anywhere else right now?
Bai Cangshu briefly read the thoughts of the boy, who was less than a meter tall, and clicked his tongue in slight disappointment.
Fine. There really was no such thought.
The boy was exhilarated right now. He believed he was saving others alongside a newly appeared superhero.
Yes, this boy believed that what he was doing now was a heroic feat.
Bai Cangshu grabbed him by the back of the neck with one hand. Parker cried out in surprise as he felt his field of vision rapidly rise. The falling billboards, glass, and stones seemed like rain pouring down from the sky before him.
Then, at point-blank range, they were swatted away by a long, clean hand. He felt as though his heart had begun to synchronize with those impacts. Every time there was a bang, his heart also thumped once.
"So strong… so thrilling!"
Kred Parker’s face was red, and he even had the urge to wave his arms and dance about.
Bai Cangshu tilted his head and looked at him.
"You’re not afraid, Parker?"
A broader smile curved Bai Cangshu’s lips. With the Black Order yet to appear, Jin having been given to Solomon, and the Life Furnace plan not yet begun, his somewhat dull state of mind suddenly found amusement once more.
Within this little boy was a heart more interesting than those of most people here.
Kred Parker shook his head. He did not even understand why this superhero was asking him that.
"I’m not afraid!"
"You’re a superhero. Why would anyone standing with a superhero be afraid?!"
"We’ll definitely win!"
He was one hundred percent certain of that, and therefore felt no fear at all.
Bai Cangshu’s smile widened. Suddenly, intense heat surged up from beneath his feet again, and the ground began to warp.
Bai Cangshu took one step, and his figure crossed dozens of meters, appearing in the distance.
Rumble!
Flames shot into the sky as a blond boy burst out from underground in a somewhat bedraggled state, soaring into the air.
Right after him came another scarlet sword light. It cut through the air and slashed directly into the side of the building.
Crack!
Accompanied by the dreadful sound of the strike, the building let out a terrifying noise as though it were breaking apart.
Fortunately, scarlet light flared up the next moment, and powerful magic forcibly held the building up.
