Perfect Demon Transformation
Gyomei Himejima expressed his support for Ubuyashiki Kagaya’s decision through scripture.
It was precisely because he understood that he supported it.
"This is the course of action that respects the Lord Master most, and it is also the right one. Lord Master, rest assured—I will not fail your trust. I will flamboyantly cut off Muzan’s head!"
Uzui Tengen also stepped forward to voice his support.
Shinazugawa Sanemi’s gaze shifted onward.
The next person was Tomioka Giyu.
"Other than this, do we have a better chance to kill Muzan?"
Tomioka Giyu’s indifferent tone sounded like a rhetorical question, but he was actually asking in earnest. Even so, everyone understood his stance.
For once, Shinazugawa Sanemi did not angrily trade barbs with Tomioka Giyu.
"If this is the Lord Master’s will, then I agree as well."
Perhaps influenced by the others, Mitsuri Kanroji wiped away the tears on her cheeks and raised her hand to speak.
Iguro Obanai followed right after her.
Seeing this, Shinazugawa Sanemi finally let go of his inner conflict. He closed his eyes and said with difficulty:
"Then… we’ll do as you say."
The Hashira meeting lasted until noon, and Shimizu brought Tamayo into it as well.
To win this war, they had to rely on her poison.
Since Shinobu Kocho was pregnant, Shimizu had taken over the task of working with Tamayo to develop new poisons.
He had fully inherited all of Shinobu’s research results in poison-making against demons.
Moreover, as the disciple of Chiyo, the greatest poison expert in the ninja world, Shimizu was no stranger to poison.
He simply had not needed to use such methods most of the time in the past. But medicine and poison came from the same source. Though Shimizu’s knowledge of pharmacology and biomedicine could not compare to the leading experts in the Marvel-DC World, he was still far ahead of anyone in this world.
When the meeting ended and night fell, Shimizu left the Ubuyashiki Residence.
At full speed, it took him less than half an hour to reach the Butterfly Mansion and enter a room deep within it.
Unlocking the door with a key, Shimizu walked over to the table.
The equipment he had purchased earlier was now sitting unused.
Shimizu took an iron box engraved with Sealing Runes from the table, removed the seal, and opened it.
Two test tubes stood quietly in their rack.
One contained bright red blood, while the other held a translucent pale-red liquid.
Shimizu took out the first tube, dripped a drop of blood onto a glass slide, and examined it under an electron microscope. He then took out several chemical reagents and began testing it.
Several hours later, joy appeared on Shimizu’s face.
This time, his blood had not undergone any mutation in any of the simulated environments!
In other words, the experiment had succeeded!
"The serum that can give me Perfect Demon Transformation… No, this can no longer be considered demonification. There are no side effects at all. This absolutely qualifies as Evolution Serum!"
Shimizu let out a breath, then took a deep inhale.
After putting away the blood sample used for the experiment, he took out the serum and a syringe. He drew the serum into the syringe, then sat down in a chair and rolled up his sleeve.
The slender needle pierced his skin and, following the vein, injected the serum into Shimizu’s body.
Shimizu closed his eyes and focused all his senses, feeling the changes in his body.
Before long, a strange current of heat arose within him, making Shimizu tremble slightly in his seat.
Thump! Thump! Thump!
His heart pounded like an engine.
His blood surged, his muscles twitched, and even his bones gave off faint cracking sounds.
From the inside out, his entire body was undergoing a transformation into some new form of life.
Shimizu could feel his vitality rapidly increasing, while the amount of Chakra within him expanded at an astonishing pace.
In that brief span of time, his Chakra had increased severalfold!
The changes lasted through the entire night.
Only when sunlight shone through the crack in the door did Shimizu open his eyes. He instinctively clenched his hand and easily crushed the armrest of his chair.
His strength had surged too quickly, and he had yet to adapt to it.
However, with Transparent World and Shimizu’s exceptional control over his own body, he roughly adapted to the explosive increase in strength after merely standing, taking a few steps, and shaking out his hand.
There were no other abnormalities in his body. All he had was vitality so abundant it defied description, along with Chakra more surging than anything he had ever felt before.
And an intense hunger.
While demons possessed strength far beyond ordinary humans and unbelievable regenerative abilities, they also needed human blood to replenish their energy.
Shimizu did not feel any bloodthirsty urges, but with his body undergoing such drastic enhancement in such a short time, it naturally required an enormous amount of nutrition.
Rustle!
Pulling aside a corner of the curtain, Shimizu slowly extended his hand into the sunlight.
The gentle morning light brushed across his skin, bringing a warmth that felt pleasant. His nails reflected the sunlight, and the fine hairs on the back of his hand were clearly visible beneath it.
He showed none of the tendency demons had to turn to ash under the sun. He did not even feel a burning sensation.
A faint smile appeared on Shimizu’s face. He pushed open the door and called out to the outside.
"Konomi! Please make a few extra breakfasts for me this morning! Hmm, start with ten servings!"
An hour later.
Shimizu patted his stomach and left the Butterfly Mansion.
Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Kanzaki Aoi and several Kakushi responsible for cooking had collapsed together beside the stove from exhaustion.
Shimizu had eaten not ten servings of breakfast, but thirty.
"I should have a Blood Demon Art too. No, I’m not a demon, so it should be called an ability. I just don’t know what kind of ability it is yet."
Facing the rising sun, Shimizu walked along the corridor outside the Butterfly Mansion, his eyes lowered in thought.
After consuming a certain number of humans, demons would automatically awaken Blood Demon Arts as the energy within them grew stronger.
With the amount of energy inside him, he had definitely awakened some similar ability.
He did not sense an ability like the Airflow Manipulation possessed by his DC incarnation and true body, nor anything like lightning control.
That was actually a good thing. It spared him from having redundant abilities.
But he could not breathe fire or water either. Still, Shimizu had an inexplicable grasp of the energy within his body, though he could neither describe nor understand it clearly.
After thinking for a moment, Shimizu stuck out his thumb, put it in his mouth, and nicked it with his teeth, drawing a drop of blood.
Most demons’ Blood Demon Arts were related to blood.
Could his be the same?
Shimizu carefully sensed the drop of blood on his hand.
There truly was a strange connection, but he could not do something like Nezuko, turning his blood into fire.
It was not a change in the blood’s form. Instead, it felt somewhat like…
Shimizu flicked his finger, sending the drop of blood flying into the distance.
In the next instant, his figure vanished from where he stood and flashed to the drop of blood’s location.
