His attack had been ineffective. Romulus narrowed his eyes. At that moment, the diamond robot raised a hand and grabbed his wrist. He snorted coldly, leaped up, wrapped his legs around the robot’s head, and slammed it to the ground with a bang.

Romulus then prepared to get up, but the diamond robot’s hands transformed into iron chains and tightly bound him. Romulus roared, his muscles tensing as he struggled with all his strength.

Before Romulus could break free of the chains, two other Sentinel Robots walked over. Their arms transformed into massive blades, and they slashed at Romulus one after another. Swish, swish, swish… Romulus was directly dismembered.

Of course, Romulus was not dead. His severed limbs rapidly flew toward his head. But at that moment, all three Sentinel Robots transformed into Iceman form and released a massive amount of cold air, freezing every part of Romulus’s body.

If he had been whole, Cold Ice could not have contained Romulus. The problem was that he had been dismembered, and some parts of his body could not break through the ice.

Romulus had been defeated!

"What do you do if an elephant won’t fit in the refrigerator? Cut it into pieces and put it in."

Yuriko could not help shaking her head. Though they had won, she was not particularly happy. Instead, she felt a hint of sorrow.

Romulus was an extremely powerful Alpha-Level Mutant. Even a battalion might not have been able to take him down, yet three Sentinel Robots had dealt with him.

"If they can deal with him, that means they can deal with me too. If there were tens of thousands of Sentinels, they might really be able to wipe out mutants."

The Mutant Guardians and the Security Company were overjoyed. They immediately coordinated with the robots to surround and suppress Magneto’s supporters.

At the same time, six Sentinel Robots surrounded the Red-Eye Mutants. Then, strange sounds came from their mouths at once, like a lullaby. The Red-Eye Mutants grew drowsy from listening and soon all collapsed unconscious to the ground.

Without the Red-Eye Mutants’ help, Magneto’s supporters quickly faltered and were all captured.

The battle on Liberty Island had completely ended. The Mutant Guardians and the Security Company stared at the eight Sentinel Robots with rather strange expressions.

Vine York said, "Why do I feel like I’m about to lose my job?"

At that moment, the Sentinel Robots arrived. They all transformed into Magneto form and used magnetism to interfere with the force field around Magneto.

The force field around Magneto was composed of magnetic force. Under the Sentinel Robots’ interference, it was on the verge of collapse. Seeing this, Wade and the others immediately attacked, preparing to finish Magneto off once and for all.

"Human Sentinel Robots? Iron Man, you have abandoned the dignity of mutants."

Quicksilver, who had just returned, shouted and raced toward the buildings at top speed to save people. He could not let his old father commit more sins.

Facing Magneto’s attack, the Sentinel Robots all aimed their hands at the steel spears. The spears flew away one after another. Then, half the Sentinel Robots continued interfering with Magneto’s force field, while the other half’s eyes glowed red as they fired lasers at Magneto.

Magneto descended from the sky to the ground. Then he forcefully raised both hands, causing the earth to tremble as countless iron sand particles shot into the sky and densely fired at the Sentinel Robots and the X-Men.

While the Sentinel Robots and the X-Men dodged, Magneto sensed the metal and magnetic fields deep underground. Immediately afterward, all of Manhattan Island began to shake. Countless metals flew into the sky, forming a massive circular force field around the area.

Crack, crack, crack. The Steel Bridge beside Manhattan first twisted and warped, then snapped in the middle and crashed into the sea. The mutants watched dumbfounded. What kind of power was this?

They did not know that this was only the beginning.

"Humans, since you do not want to become mutants, then I will grant you destruction."

Magneto roared. Magnetic fields across the entire surface of the world changed. On land, all kinds of metal objects rose into the air, twisted, and shattered. At docks, shipping containers flew wildly everywhere. At sea, huge amounts of metal floated up and smashed into bridges and ships.

The entire world fell into chaos, as if the apocalypse had arrived.

Storm shouted, "Whether we have a way or not, we must stop Magneto."

Storm’s expression darkened slightly, but she could not refute him. Quicksilver shouted, "Old man, what are you doing? Do you want to destroy this world? Destroy Lorna and me?"

Psylocke shouted, "Magneto, don’t you care most about mutants? If you keep this up, huge numbers of mutants will die too."

A flicker of hesitation crossed Magneto’s face, but it immediately turned to resolve. "I can no longer turn back. Let everything be destroyed. Apocalypse will rebuild the mutant empire from the ruins."

"Old Magneto, you’ve completely fallen into darkness."

At that moment, a figure appeared outside the magnetic field. It was Iron Man’s Iron Man Armor. He said, "Your whole life, you have been trapped by hatred and unable to escape."

"Iron Man is here."

Magneto looked at Iron Man and shouted, "This is my fate, Iron Man. Even you cannot stop me."

"Is that so?"

The Iron Man Armor sneered and strode into the magnetic field. Something miraculous happened. As it advanced, the magnetic field rapidly vanished, as though it feared the armor.

Magneto froze, then cried out in alarm, "Leech."

"It’s me. Don’t hit me, I’m only cooperating with Iron Man."

Leech’s timid voice came from inside the armor. The magnetic field had vanished because Leech’s ability was taking effect.

Though Magneto was half an Omega, he still could not withstand Leech’s power—Apocalypse’s blessing could resist drugs, but it could not resist the real Leech.

"Old Magneto, end all this."

The Iron Man Armor walked to Magneto’s side and said to the powerless Magneto, "I’ll erase your memories and turn you into an ordinary old man. Pietro and Lorna will take good care of you. Uh, probably."

At the White House, the expert shouted, "The surface magnetic field has returned to normal."

The Iron Man Armor asked, "Will this violent energy kill ordinary people?"

The Iron Man Armor knocked Magneto unconscious with a hand chop and said, "Go save people. I’ll go save Professor Charles."

Without a doubt, Magneto had done this to delay them on Manhattan Island and prevent them from ruining Apocalypse’s plan. Though everyone knew his purpose, there were so many people in Manhattan that they could not simply ignore them.

The Iron Man Armor said no more. It carried Leech through space toward Pyramid Country. But at that moment, space was disrupted by a mysterious power, and the Iron Man Armor fell into a spatial turbulence, unable to advance any farther.

In the space between dimensions, Wang Bert, who had already competed with Apocalypse in over a hundred abilities, frowned and asked, "You still have enough strength to interfere with space?"

"I didn’t do this. One of your old friends did."

Apocalypse smiled. "Quite a few people died earlier. He secretly hid part of His power in the void and waited for you to teleport."

Amid the golden light, Apocalypse and Professor Charles floated up at the same time. Immediately afterward, vast amounts of purple energy emerged from Apocalypse’s body and flowed into Professor Charles’s body along the melting golden patterns.

Professor Charles cried out in pain, but he could not shake off the purple energy. It gradually seeped into his body while Apocalypse’s original body slowly decayed.

Apocalypse’s smug voice echoed in Professor Charles’s mind. "You are mine."

"No, I will not submit."

Professor Charles felt his body gradually slipping out of his control. He roared and fought Apocalypse with all his strength, but unfortunately, his psychic power was far inferior to Apocalypse’s. His body was rapidly occupied by Apocalypse.

Soon, the purple energy completely merged into Professor Charles’s body. Professor Charles abruptly transformed into Apocalypse’s appearance. Apocalypse laughed loudly. "Professor Charles, I have obtained your ability. Humanity will become my slaves for all eternity."
