Power Stone
"President Ellis will definitely believe you, but other countries might not."
Hearing Wang Bert’s words, Lilith said, "The Angel Church has enormous influence on Earth, and its followers are countless."
"Precisely because of that, we need to deal with them in advance. Otherwise, once the angels descend, things will become extremely troublesome."
Wang Bert said, "It doesn’t matter whether those countries believe it. I only need them to stand aside. Tell them for me that this concerns Earth’s survival. I will not compromise in any way. If anyone dares interfere, don’t blame me for being ruthless."
"I know what to do."
Lilith nodded, a rare hint of excitement in her voice. Vampires purging the church—just thinking about it felt thrilling.
"Good. I’ll leave it to you."
Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. Thinking of something, he said, "Make a spinoff film for the Blood Clan Police Department. The plot will be that angels want to wipe out humanity, but the Blood Clan stops them. The rest of the story doesn’t matter, but there must be a scene where angels rally their followers to besiege the Blood Clan Police Department. Also, make Gabriel the mastermind behind it all. Say she’s sleeping with Lucifer, and that the two are in cahoots, plotting to overthrow God and establish themselves."
Lilith gave Wang Bert a speechless look and said, "I’ll arrange it, but a movie is only entertainment. It won’t have much effect."
"Just in case."
Wang Bert said, "The angels’ influence is too great. I’ll do everything I can to stop them from entering Earth."
"I understand."
Lilith nodded. At that moment, President Ellis’s voice came from the television above them. "Many people say that I am the unluckiest president in America’s history, because several alien invasions occurred one after another during my term. Yes, not one, but several. Everyone, aliens truly exist, and they bear us ill will. They won’t even give us the chance to surrender. To protect Earth, we must pick up the pace and become stronger. Here, on behalf of the Earth Federation, I officially announce that Earth will advance into the interstellar age at full speed. From now on, everything on Earth will prioritize entering the interstellar age. For example, we will devote ourselves to developing new energy, artificial intelligence, space technology, genetic technology…"
Wang Bert nodded with satisfaction. Earth had finally begun stepping into the interstellar age. His efforts had not been in vain.
"Sea of Stars, here we come."
On Xandar, at the filming site for Titanic: Interstellar Edition, "Cut!"
Wang Bert shouted at Lorelei on the spaceship in dissatisfaction, "Expression, Lorelei! Give me some expression, will you? You’re enjoying rare freedom right now!"
Lorelei said somewhat aggrievedly, "I did give you an expression. Besides, I told you from the start that I couldn’t act. You were the one who insisted on making me the female lead."
"How was I supposed to know you couldn’t act at all? As the Goddess of Enchantment, shouldn’t you be especially good at acting and deceiving people?"
Wang Bert shouted unhappily. Lorelei said, "Why would I need to act and deceive people? With one sentence, those men will obediently kneel beneath my battle skirt."
Wang Bert had no reply. He sighed and said, "The entire crew is taking a break. Lorelei, go study acting at Xandar Film Academy first."
At first, Wang Bert had wanted to screen the original Earth movies on Xandar, only to discover that cinemas were not popular there—people preferred watching movies at home through holographic projections.
The plots of classic Earth movies were certainly not bad, but everything else was too outdated. They could only be remade as holographic versions.
In order to turn Lorelei into a cosmic superstar, Wang Bert had abused his authority and appointed her as the female lead. Reality had dealt him a crushing blow—Lorelei simply could not act!
Upon hearing that she would not have to keep filming, Lorelei let out a huge sigh of relief. She jumped down from the spaceship and asked Wang Bert, "Master, I don’t have a Xandar diploma. Can I enter the film academy?"
"Don’t worry. I’ll throw money at them and buy you a place."
Wang Bert said irritably. After several months, his wallet had become extremely full. Becoming a Xandar tycoon was no problem at all.
"That’s good."
Lorelei pressed herself close to him and said ingratiatingly, "Master, ever since I came to Xandar, I haven’t properly gone out shopping. I don’t even have a decent outfit. Can you give me one of your unlimited supplementary cards?"
"Unlimited? You really are greedy."
Wang Bert was speechless. Lorelei’s vain nature had not changed one bit.
After some thought, Wang Bert transferred one million Universal Currency into Lorelei’s account. "I’ll check your acting once a week. If you improve, you’ll be rewarded. Otherwise, you get nothing."
"Thank you, Master."
Lorelei happily kissed Wang Bert, then linked her arm through his and said, "Master, come shopping with me?"
Wang Bert was about to answer when he suddenly sensed something. "I have business to handle. Go by yourself."
Lorelei wanted to say more, but Wang Bert had already vanished. She could only stomp her foot resentfully and head out to shop away her frustration.
Her master was good in every way—powerful, wealthy, and handsome. The only problem was that there were far too many women around him, leaving him hardly any time for her.
The reason Wang Bert had left was simple. Peter Quill, the protagonist of Guardians of the Galaxy, also known as Star-Lord, had arrived on Xandar—he was preparing to sell the Orb in the Broker’s shop.
Invisible, Wang Bert watched Star-Lord chat with the Broker and smiled slightly. It had been worth tampering with the Broker in advance. He had finally arrived.
Wang Bert stretched out his hand and took the Orb from Star-Lord’s bag through the air, then placed a fake Orb inside.
The plot was still somewhat useful, so Wang Bert did not want to alter it yet.
"The Power Stone is mine. That was so easy I’d feel embarrassed not taking it."
Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. It had been this effortless; there was no reason not to take it. It was a supreme treasure, after all.
Star-Lord had no idea that the Orb had already been swapped. He casually asked, "By the way, who wants this Orb? I nearly died getting it."
"Isn’t that how our line of work has always been?"
The Broker shrugged and said, "Who told us we don’t have Mr. Wang’s ability to earn millions from a single delivery?"
"Millions from one delivery?"
Star-Lord froze, then hurriedly asked, "What kind of business makes that much money? My piloting skills are the best in the universe."
"Don’t even think about it. He delivers across planets in ten seconds."
The Broker said, "In only a few months, that Mr. Wang became one of Xandar’s wealthiest people. Even if I worked my entire life, I probably wouldn’t earn as much as he makes in a month."
Star-Lord asked, "Cross-planet delivery in ten seconds? Is he running some kind of scam?"
"Do you think all Xandarians are idiots?"
The Broker said impatiently, "Enough nonsense. Hand over the Orb."
"Fine."
As Star-Lord took out the Orb, he asked, "By the way, those people claimed to be Ronan’s men. Who is Ronan?"
"Ronan?"
Upon hearing that name, the Broker turned pale with fright. He immediately said to Star-Lord, "Sorry, I’m not doing this deal. I won’t touch any business connected to Ronan."
"Why?"
Star-Lord wanted to ask more, but the Broker directly shoved him out of the shop. Star-Lord stood there, utterly baffled, then slapped himself. Why did he have to mention Ronan for no reason?
As Star-Lord sighed, he suddenly felt someone watching him. Turning around, he saw a stunning green-skinned beauty.
Star-Lord immediately launched into his inherited flirting techniques. Wang Bert could not help shaking his head. Star-Lord’s tastes were truly broad. Unlike him, he could only accept aliens who resembled Earthlings.
That green-skinned woman was naturally Gamora. Everything that followed was the same as in the movie—Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot fought chaotically across Xandar before the Nova Corps captured them all in one sweep.
"The show is over."
Wang Bert was about to leave when the surrounded Rocket suddenly shouted, "You actually dare arrest me? Do you know who my friend is?"
A Nova Corps officer asked with amusement, "Little rat, who is your friend? I’d like to hear it."
"His name will scare you to death. My friend is Xandar’s super-rich tycoon, Bert Wang. If you dare arrest me, he definitely won’t let this go."
Rocket said arrogantly, "We’re friends who’ve been through life and death together."
"Bert Wang?"
The officer froze, his expression turning somewhat ugly. He did not have the slightest favorable impression of that guy.
In fact, many in the Nova Corps disliked Wang Bert, which was perfectly normal. On one hand, they might work their whole lives without earning as much as Wang Bert made in a day.
On the other hand, that bastard Wang Bert was involved with Centurion Lindy. Centurion Lindy was the dream goddess of many soldiers.
Of course, displeasure was one thing, but the officer did not dare casually offend such an important figure. He said, "You are under arrest. I’ll send someone to notify Mr. Wang of Earth Express to bail you out."
"Prepare something good for me to drink."
Rocket became even more arrogant. Groot wanted to cover his face in embarrassment, while Gamora rolled her eyes wildly. She knew the Blood God too, but she could not say so.
Gamora thought of something, and her eyes lit up. "If I can meet the Blood God, this will be easy to resolve."
"Earth Express?"
Star-Lord blinked and shouted, "I’m from Earth. I know that Mr. Wang too."
"What part of you looks like an Earthling?"
Rocket said disdainfully, "Earthlings are incredibly powerful, okay? Five Ravagers capital ships couldn’t even last ten minutes against them."
Star-Lord looked utterly confused. "No way. When I left, Earthlings were still in the moon-landing stage."
Rocket looked down on him. "I told you that you were fake. Earthling companies have already opened on Xandar."
Star-Lord angrily said, "I’m a one hundred percent Pureblood Earthling."
"Shut up, all of you. Take them back."
The officer shouted in displeasure. Several small spacecraft answered in unison and hauled the four of them toward the detention center.
"What is this supposed to be? Am I even close with Rocket?"
Wang Bert was speechless. He hesitated over whether to rescue Rocket. With his status, getting Rocket out would be effortless, but if he did, those goofballs—cough, cough—the Guardians of the Galaxy would no longer be complete.
After some thought, Wang Bert decided to ignore it. They would not be in any danger anyway, and he needed this group to go to Knowhere.
"Poor Rocket. I hope you won’t be too arrogant, or the Nova Corps will definitely teach you a harsh lesson."
Wang Bert offered an entirely insincere prayer, then Teleported to Earth Express headquarters and opened a portal back to Earth.
Wang Bert shouted, "Odin, lend me that knockoff Infinity Gauntlet."
Odin casually tossed the Infinity Gauntlet to Wang Bert and shouted, "Take it and get lost. Don’t affect my Odin run. We’re definitely killing him today. This is our first clear, and it’ll be announced across the whole server. Little Hela really wants it."
"You’re not even going to ask why I need the Infinity Gauntlet?"
Wang Bert asked in astonishment. "Also, what’s with you farming yourself?"
Odin was about to answer when Frigga shouted, "Odin, don’t get distracted! Odin is about to enter his All-Father form. Who designed this terrible Odin? He’s so hard to beat!"
Odin shouted, "Exactly! How could Odin be that powerful? Even at his peak, he could only destroy a planet or two."
Watching the two elderly gaming addicts, Wang Bert rolled his eyes speechlessly and vanished in an instant.
A while later, Little Hela’s party finally defeated Odin in his All-Father form. Just as they were about to cheer, an Infinity Gauntlet suddenly appeared on Odin’s hand.
Then, bathed in blood-red light, Odin rapidly revived and returned to his youthful state.
"I, Odin, am immortal!" young Odin shouted arrogantly.
"Fuck."
Little Hela, Odin, and the others cursed at the same time. There was actually such a move? Odin, in particular, cursed the Blood God without the slightest grace. That had definitely been secretly added by that guy.
On a desolate planet, Wang Bert took out the Space Stone and asked the Spear of God, which was relentlessly attacking the spatial barrier within it, "I’ll ask one last time. Are you willing to submit to me?"
The Spear of God formed a middle finger out of holy light and pointed it at Wang Bert. It nearly laughed itself to death. How could God’s weapon possibly surrender to a Vampire? "Then there’s nothing I can do."
Wang Bert took out the Orb and opened it, then lightly touched the Power Stone inside with his finger. A surge of purple energy immediately rushed along his finger into his body, wreaking havoc wildly.
Wang Bert immediately withdrew his finger and annihilated the purple energy with blue and red Light Flame.
As expected, the Power Stone was deeply hostile to Wang Bert, hostile enough to want to destroy him.
"Since that’s the case, don’t blame me."
Wang Bert snorted coldly, put on the Infinity Gauntlet, and blood-red lightning flashed over his body.
Next, Wang Bert sensed Loki’s location and quietly opened a portal, allowing the Aether to resonate with each other—this way, the sacrifice would not require double payment.
After doing this, Wang Bert raised the Infinity Gauntlet high and made a loud wish. "Aether, I offer the energy within the Power Stone as a sacrifice. Alter the ownership of the Spear of God and make it mine."
The Aether blazed with red light. At the same time, the Power Stone’s purple glow rapidly faded. This meant that the Aether had accepted Wang Bert’s sacrifice and begun altering reality.
Though the Spear of God was a conceptual armament, it could not withstand the power of the Reality Stone. Its ownership was swiftly erased.
"What’s happening? God, save me!"
Sensing the change within itself, the Spear of God cried out in terror. Unfortunately, God did not appear. The only one beside it was Wang Bert, this ‘demon.’
A moment later, the holy light around the Spear of God dimmed. The Reality Stone sent Wang Bert a message: "Use your soul to claim ownership."
