Saitama’s Weakness and Uchiha Madara’s Pursuit
Thump, thump, thump.
Lilith’s heartbeat gradually calmed, but her joy was beyond words.
Before Fubuki was about to die, she had prayed, and a hero had actually answered her.
"Thank you… thank you for saving us… Hero~"
Lilith was now too weak to stand, yet the sense of safety Saitama’s presence brought her was indescribable.
After saying those words, she could no longer hold on and lost consciousness. Even the wound on her neck completely split open after the barrier vanished.
Her shattered artery sent a large amount of blood gushing out in an instant.
"Ah!"
Saitama had still been dwelling on the cry for help he had just heard and the complicated feelings within his heart. He was not good at thinking about such things, so he had simply stood there.
But when he saw the woman collapse to the ground with blood spraying from her neck, Saitama blankly let out an "Ah."
In truth, he had no healing or rescue abilities at all. He did not even know how to stop someone’s bleeding.
Just as Saitama paced about, hesitating over whether to pick the woman up and dash toward the nearest city, Genos finally arrived, his jets blazing beneath his feet.
"Genos, hurry and take a look at her…"
With his familiar dead-fish eyes, Saitama pointed at the woman lying on the ground, bleeding without stop.
Meanwhile, Red Dust had just recovered from the shudder of having death loom over him.
The complacency brought by the formidable Internal Qi of the third revolution of Reverse Universe had been utterly obliterated by Saitama’s punch.
What thousand-meter blade aura, what rock giant, what lightning divine envoy—before that kind of power, none of it meant anything.
Red Dust could not comprehend the fundamental nature of the power contained in that punch, but he could clearly sense that power founded on energy alone could not touch its essence at all.
If there was only energy, then to amass enough to shake that punch would likely require an amount beyond anything Reincarnators could imagine.
Red-Hair behind him was no longer so flamboyant. His hair hung loose down his back as he walked over barefoot.
Watching Genos prepare to cauterize the woman’s neck with lasers to stop the bleeding, Red Dust’s eyelids twitched.
In a sense, the master and disciple pair of Genos and Saitama really were quite unreliable.
Red Dust coughed twice, held his fingers together like a sword, and immediately froze the wound with frigid Internal Qi, stopping the bleeding. He then stopped the bleeding for Fubuki and Lily of the Three-Section Staff as well, earning himself a small boost in reputation with the hero faction.
Red Dust suddenly frowned. He sensed movement in two places.
"Mr. Saitama, did you… not kill those two?"
He turned and saw the two fairly powerful Reincarnators rise to their feet a hundred meters away.
The burly one still had his blade aura and frost lingering on his shoulder, while the other appeared to be completely uninjured.
Clearly, Saitama’s terrifying punch had not only missed him—it had not attacked those two either.
It had struck directly between the three of them, using the aftermath to erase all three of their attacks.
"No."
Saitama did not understand what he meant. He was still curious about Red Dust’s miraculous ability to raise a hand and release Internal Qi to freeze wounds. Judging from his gesture, he seemed to want to imitate Red Dust’s movements.
Red Dust frowned. He sensed something ominous.
As a foreseeable ceiling-level powerhouse of this world, Saitama possessed power that completely crushed monsters such as Tatsumaki???.
However, Saitama himself also had certain "weaknesses."
If Reincarnators wanted to plot some major scheme in this world, they would generally begin with those "weaknesses."
As far as Red Dust knew, the Sage had likely worked with His Excellency to make special arrangements by exploiting Saitama’s weakness of "low desire."
Only then had they confidently entered this world to pursue an even more terrifying plan.
Supreme Experts already had to pay a considerable price to enter a Secondary World. And a Secondary World containing an unknown-level Plot Character like Saitama, who could cause a Supreme Expert to fall, was normally an inefficient world that Supreme Experts would never choose.
The risks were high, while the returns were not nearly high enough.
But after His Excellency and the Sage exploited Saitama’s character weaknesses and made their arrangements, they were confident they could contain Saitama. That was why they had entered this world to seize something.
Red Dust guessed it was most likely the Limiter.
There were not many things that could interest Supreme Experts. As for something that would make them enter despite the risk of being killed, Red Dust could only think of the Limiter and Divine Power.
And after entering this world, the Chaos Sage’s team had indeed begun by investigating the Limiter’s whereabouts, seeking the House of Evolution and the place where Saitama had once trained.
But they had found nothing.
The House of Evolution had mysteriously vanished, while the place Saitama had once been had also disappeared without a trace due to the massive changes in terrain caused by the world’s fusion.
Red Dust suddenly snapped back to himself, realizing that his thoughts had wandered badly.
He patted his cheeks, using frigid force to pull himself back from his fear of Saitama and regain his rationality.
"Mr. Saitama, perhaps you do not understand. These people will never repent simply because you spared their lives. If you are unwilling to act, then let me…"
Red Dust revealed killing intent. He knew the Sage’s and His Excellency’s methods well. Aside from his weakness of "low desire," Saitama also had the self-imposed restriction of "not killing humans."
Even against someone like Garou, who had almost completely turned into a monster, Saitama had not dealt a killing blow. He had merely defeated him.
Saitama, who killed most monsters with a single punch, possessed almost no desire to kill humans.
Most of the time, this restriction caused no problems, because Saitama was overwhelmingly powerful. Even if those he spared deliberately exploited this restriction to launch sneak attacks, it would not amount to anything.
But Reincarnators were a group that would stop at nothing to pursue "mission completion."
For profit, they would do anything.
Especially the Sage and His Excellency, who were exceptionally skilled at manipulating human nature and attacking the weaknesses within people’s hearts.
He had an ominous suspicion.
Saitama frowned, unable to understand why this red-haired guy was so determined to kill other humans.
Your actions have caused dissatisfaction in Plot Character Saitama. Your reputation with Saitama has decreased. Current: Friendly 3/100Red Dust froze. This time, the drop in reputation had been substantial, almost falling to the edge of Stranger.
The two people in the distance waited in icy fear for a moment. When they found that neither Saitama nor Red Dust intended to attack them, the two who had escaped death exchanged a look and quickly left.
Red Dust hesitated. Afraid of angering Saitama, he did not give chase. The group then prepared to send the injured away for treatment, while Saitama looked at the shattered J City in the distance, an thoughtful expression appearing on his face.
Uchiha Madara stood with his arms crossed, his scarlet Sharingan watching the two people below who had escaped death rapidly leave the bald man’s side—the man whom that Host had judged to be the Completely Unrivaled One.
"Hmph, the Completely Unrivaled One… is it…"
In the past, Uchiha Madara would likely have dismissed such an assessment with contempt. But after losing both his Rinnegan and his own body, and then witnessing Tatsumaki’s terrifying battle against ???…
Uchiha Madara’s figure flashed as he pursued the two departing Reincarnators.
That Host’s willingness to stop at nothing had likewise earned Uchiha Madara’s approval. As his Sharingan spun, a tide of malice began to spread.
