Secondary World

While Bai Cangshu immersed himself in frenzied, self-destructive training, Reincarnators throughout the Infinite Dimensional Space—and even across the real world—had not stopped moving.

The first "homeland" of the Reincarnators, the empire representing these superhumans who had completely severed themselves from their former real lives—the Finality Empire—had clashed fiercely with multiple nations and factions. News of it spread through every corner of the Space by various channels.

Yet that was far from the only news that astonished the Reincarnators.

Within a vast Team Space, a colossal white palace stood upon the wasteland, gleaming everywhere with magical radiance.

It was a gigantic palace capable of housing tens of thousands, with all the team’s facilities distributed throughout its interior.

At the very center of the palace was a "Room of Nonexistence" with no entrance or exit whatsoever. It was the true core area, accessible only to the most senior few members of the Far East Magic Society.

This powerful team, spanning the Second Tier and the Third Tier, made its decisions here.

At the head of the enormous long table sat someone with shoulder-length white hair. Their features gave no clue to their gender, and one eye was red while the other was blue. The Snow Witch, who had once appeared before Bai Cangshu, sat in the first seat to the left. Below her sat the Tree Herder, dressed in priestly robes with a cross hanging from his chest.

The Tree Herder had once been pursuing the Flame Demon and had wanted to enter the One Piece World at the time to participate in that massive team battle mission, but the Snow Witch had talked him out of it.

Now, he tapped the tabletop and spoke.

"A new Secondary World has appeared. The first team to enter was a temporary team with an overall Strong-tier rating. They were wiped out."

The Snow Witch also turned her gaze toward him. The mission worlds into which the Infinite Dimensional Space deployed Reincarnators were divided into three types.

The first type was Derivative Worlds: worlds derived from a certain story, legend, or even mystery.

This was the type of world Reincarnators were deployed into most often, and for the vast majority of Reincarnators, it was the only kind of mission world they would ever enter before dying.

The difficulty of such worlds was relatively easy to predict. So long as Reincarnators had encountered the original story, anime, or film and television work, they possessed an innate intelligence advantage.

Unless special circumstances arose, when entering a Derivative World for the first time, there would be little change to the world. Events would generally only progress along a certain timeline, with story settings from the same worldview mixed in according to the different timelines.

Only after batches of Reincarnators had utterly wrecked the timelines and storylines would a Derivative World finally collapse. Once it could no longer produce useful information, it would be abandoned and no longer receive Reincarnators.

The second type was the Secondary World the Tree Herder had just mentioned.

Compared with Derivative Worlds, Secondary Worlds existed on another dimension altogether. It was no longer merely a matter of timelines. Different worldviews overlapped, collided, and ultimately merged, either due to paradoxes or because of the Infinite Dimensional Space’s continual erosion.

Thus, enormous newborn worlds came into being. Such worlds fused immense amounts of information, and that excess information influenced itself, ultimately producing new secondary information. That was why they were called Secondary Worlds.

Secondary Worlds were more dangerous and more chaotic. The Reincarnators’ "prophet advantage" was greatly weakened; they could no longer use familiar plot developments to grasp the pace of events, and unpredictable dangers could strike at any moment.

But correspondingly, the immense information and convoluted environments of Secondary Worlds would weave more and higher-level Singularities, producing stronger items and abilities.

They were the type of world pursued by nearly every high-tier team.

The final type of deployed world was known as a Primary World. They were legends of the Space, secrets among secrets. Even within the Far East Magic Society, only its president, Solomon, knew the mysteries of Primary Worlds.

"Does that team have one of your herded seeds?"

The Tree Herder possessed an extremely covert and disgusting ability. He could inject a certain power into other Reincarnators or Plot Characters and interfere with their cognition. Before that power matured, it would manifest as a gift.

For example, some people might awaken a superpower; some might seem to gain an external brain that answered their questions; others might gain strange improvements to their physical fitness. Such phenomena made it impossible for those Reincarnators or Plot Characters to determine whether the thing identified by the Space as a Seed of Power was good or bad.

To obtain an answer from the Goddess, one needed at least two-star Reincarnator authority. Most of the Tree Herder’s targets were people who had only just left the novice stage.

To this day, aside from the Flame Demon breaking free, most of his targets had either become his puppets or died.

At the same time, the seeds herded by the Tree Herder allowed him to learn more intelligence. The Snow Witch wanted to know the source of the information, but the Tree Herder did not answer.

The Far East Magic Society used a highly "flat" decision-making structure. Aside from President Solomon, who possessed veto power, the other upper-ranking members only had the right to make suggestions.

The Tree Herder merely looked at Solomon and reiterated his thoughts.

"It isn’t just me. Other gatherings and teams have also received the news. I believe the next round of mission deployments will be on a massive scale. We should prepare early."

He spoke with exceptional clarity within the Space, but once he left it, he became crazed and difficult to control.

Solomon leaned back in his chair. To his right sat a blonde youth, bare-chested, with a golden sun emblem on his chest. He was Jin, the Far East Magic Society’s second-in-command.

"Anyone who wants to go can give it a try. Judging by the looks of you all, tsk, every last one of you has arrogance written all over your faces. Heh…"

"I just made a prophecy. That world is very dangerous. Perhaps quite a few Title-level Reincarnators will fall this time. I hope I’ll still see you at the next meeting, little Tree Herder~"

Jin teased the Tree Herder, waved his hand, and teleported away on his own. He clearly had no intention of getting involved.

Solomon looked over the companions seated on both sides of the long table before finally speaking.

"Even-numbered seats may go."

The Snow Witch froze. Solomon probably meant that no more than half the members could go. Compared to Jin’s unreliable prophecy magic, she trusted Boss Solomon more. He possessed some kind of time-based magical ability.

Her expression shifted. She closed her eyes, deciding not to compete for a spot.

The Tree Herder rose, bowed to Solomon, and was the first to leave. He knew that world was dangerous, but Reincarnators were danger itself.

To everyone else, he was dangerous too.

HX77754611 (Midnight Watch) sent a contact message: I heard a new Secondary World has appeared. The Great Sun of Finality will definitely send people there. It's the perfect chance for us to begin the hunt~

The Heart Demon sent several messages in a row. Aside from the first, which could count as a greeting, the rest contained information about Reincarnators under the Great Sun of Finality.

By coincidence, Crimson Lotus Mage · Luo Xi also sent over a detailed dossier at that moment.

It concerned a team called Chaos Sage, with a total of nine members. Five were veterans, while the other four were captives being raised. The newest member, Flower Immortal, was the target Luo Xi had asked Bai Cangshu to kill.

The team leader, Sage, was an exceptionally formidable Title-level Reincarnator. Luo Xi speculated that his ability was either Golden Alchemy or the Great Prophecy Art—an ability that functioned almost like words becoming reality. His Title Ability was unknown.

The flood of information disrupted Bai Cangshu’s training rhythm. When he stepped out of the Cultivation Institute, the large number of necrotic cells on his body healed and regenerated once more using Dimensional Points. The excessively intense cellular activity caused every cell in his body to make a cicada-like breathing sound when exposed to air of normal pressure and density.

A faintly reddish mist rose around his body. The sight was rather terrifying and drew sidelong glances.

With a flash of light, Bai Cangshu returned to his Private Space. He planned to go back to the real world first and fill the synchronization rate of the Sin of Lust, then carefully consider which of these targets he should hunt first.
