Section 604

After all, they had already waited for a year and a half.

A little more time wouldn't hurt.

Actually, what Xu Zi'an said was indeed partly true.

The other part…

He mainly wanted to use this time to carefully observe Tai Ji's character and disposition!

During this period, if he found that her character and disposition were not up to par, then he would not hesitate to kick her out of the Brilliant Fleet, no matter how much of a Genius she was or whether she was Tai Mei's older sister.

Because Xu Zi'an carried too many secrets.

If he found her character and disposition to be satisfactory, then he could confidently sell Heaven And Earth Treasure to her at a low price in the same manner.

While he gained a large amount of wealth, she would also be able to rapidly increase her strength, a win-win situation.

Xu Zi'an's ultimate vision for the Brilliant Fleet was that one day…

The Brilliant Fleet should not have only one Peerless Genius.

He wanted to build a super fleet composed entirely of Peerless Geniuses!

The entire team, all Peerless Geniuses.

Plus, he would customize starships exclusively for them…

It was hard to imagine the level of combat power the Brilliant Fleet would possess at that time.

He believed it would not disappoint him.

It was definitely a good thing.

As for Haitang, there was no need to observe her.

Xu Zi'an trusted Haitang one hundred percent.

The main focus was to observe Tai Ji.

Since it was an observation, and Xu Zi'an wasn't there to play, plus with the addition of two new members, the Brilliant Fleet needed a lot of coordination.

Therefore, there wasn't much rest.

That evening, Xu Zi'an began to select missions.

Missions were everywhere, and they came from multiple parties and agencies.

Among them, missions were mainly divided into three major categories:

One: Official.

Two: Interstellar Hunter Guild.

Three: Various major forces.

Official missions, needless to say, could only be those issued by the Cosmic Human Federation.

And only combat missions issued by the Cosmic Human Federation could earn military merit points.

The importance of military merit points was self-evident.

Therefore, official missions were hardly taken by anyone in other regions because they were the most dangerous.

However, on the battlefield, official missions were the most popular.

The Interstellar Hunter Guild's missions had uncertain dangers; they were mainly private missions.

For example, a fleet might take on an official mission, but if they felt they couldn't complete it or that the mortality rate would be too high even if they could, they would issue an invitation, offering a certain reward, to invite other fleets to join in and complete the mission together.

Additionally, there would be long-term acquisition missions for certain Heaven And Earth Treasure, or missions to designate specific Alien Race or Insectoid Race starship components, and so on.

Finally, missions issued by various major forces were completely unpredictable.

These major forces could be national-level powers like the Divine Soul Empire or the Earth Federation, or they could be entities like certain corporations or Families.

Mission rewards also varied, including money, territory, items, or even positions.

There were also too many types of missions, both dangerous and non-dangerous.

For instance, a certain combat zone might be contracted by a major power.

This major power would then issue long-term recruitment missions for combat personnel.

This situation was similar to ancient Earth, where a military contractor would undertake a military operation from the official government.

Then, this military contractor, having fewer combat personnel of his own, would pay to hire external mercenaries.

And don't think that these military contractors wouldn't make money from such arrangements.

The profits involved were astonishingly large!

Because when they contracted with the Cosmic Human Federation, the Cosmic Human Federation would pay the contractors a huge sum of money as remuneration each year.

Secondly, if they achieved significant military victories, there would also be generous rewards.

Furthermore, the spoils of war generally belonged to them.

And things like mineral veins, as long as they were discovered or seized, also belonged to them!

The profits in this were extremely vast.

But no matter which of these three types of missions it was, or what the rewards were, one thing was certain—

No matter what mission was taken, as long as one was involved in the mission, all actions would be recorded and reviewed by the Intelligent Optical Brain.

Then, it would be counted as the fleet's score!

In other words, on the battlefield, the Fleet Rank could be improved at any time.

As long as one's combat ability was strong enough, there would be absolutely no problem!

However, Xu Zi'an only glanced at them a few times.

He decided that the Brilliant Fleet's first combat mission would be an official one!

The first mission definitely had to be an official one.

It was more formal, regardless of the danger.
