Sharingan, Bai Cangshu’s Backup Plan
The Snow Witch was also taken aback. The sword light that tore through the air carried terrifying magic power, directly cleaving through her barrier.
More importantly, Artoria’s intervention meant… Mercenary Tao had torn up his agreement with Solomon?!
Clang!
Countless ice spikes rose from the ground, only to be shattered apart. Yet the Snow Witch used the opportunity to fall backward into the ice, her entire body seemingly melting into the snow and freezing qi as she vanished.
After landing, Artoria struck an ice block with her sword hilt. Without the Snow Witch’s authority over ice to sustain it, the frost rapidly cracked apart, allowing the Tree Herder, whose divine power had nearly dissipated, to gasp for breath once more.
He was practically collapsing from exhaustion, yet his mind seemed unaffected as he continued thinking without pause.
"Devil Fruit… Kekkei Genkai…"
"You abandoned the pure path of magic?!"
The Tree Herder seemed to have found another reason why Solomon had spared the Snow Witch. This woman might be foolish, but she had not been numb to that extent.
After reaching the Third Tier, she had not continued pursuing the power of the tiers. Instead, she had put the cart before the horse and strengthened other paths anew.
Such behavior was foolish—far too foolish!
Whether it was a Logia Type Devil Fruit or a Kekkei Genkai from Naruto, they could only somewhat improve the Snow Witch’s versatility and ability to escape.
They would not make her substantially stronger.
Among reincarnators, the missions one encountered only grew increasingly difficult. Such behavior was practically an active decision to slow one’s own growth. It was suicidal.
The Snow Witch offered no explanation. A snowstorm swept through the underground world, while the freezing wind poured backward through the entrance Artoria had cleaved open.
Artoria had entered the battle. The Snow Witch no longer had any confidence that she could kill the Tree Herder in a short time, and besides… she had never wanted them to kill one another.
Now, she only needed to report this news to Solomon. Her mission would then be complete.
Boom!
Just as the Snow Witch was about to ride the gale out through the entrance, she heard a thunderous explosion.
Crackle!
A powerful current erupted, directly knocking the Snow Witch out of her Elementalization state.
"Pfft!"
Terrifying electricity surged through her body as a short-handled throwing hammer crackling with lightning landed on the ground.
The next instant, accompanied by another flash of lightning, the blond Thor had appeared at the edge of the surface.
He lowered his head and looked below, clear thunderous energy surging in his eyes.
"Thor!"
The Tree Herder was startled and immediately ran toward Artoria on the other side, but pain suddenly shot through his waist. Something caught his feet, sending him flying.
The blood vessels on his back braced against the ground like limbs, allowing the Tree Herder to roll behind Artoria.
Another man in a gray robe appeared in the underground space with the same expressionless face.
Loki.
The Tree Herder had considered the possibility that these two Asgardian gods would appear. After all, according to the original story, Thor would soon discover that Odin in Asgard had been impersonated by Loki, then return to Earth in search of the real Odin.
The commotion caused by Mercenary Tao’s battle with Odin had been immense, and its consequences terrifying. These Asgardians would certainly have noticed.
He simply had not expected the two to arrive at such an opportune moment—precisely after Mercenary Tao had been drawn into the Scarlet Witch’s illusion.
"Is this also part of Solomon’s plan?"
Boom!
Thor took a step forward, and electricity exploded across the ground, completely shattering the ice layer. His divine power far surpassed that of a half-baked godman like the Tree Herder.
Having seen the two people from the intelligence report, Thor could no longer suppress his fury.
"It was you who killed him?"
"It was… you!"
Boom!
Lightning blazed from his eye sockets. He could not sense any power from these people that could rival his father’s, yet it had been these very people who had murdered him.
Loki closed his eyes, hiding the regret, pain, and countless other emotions within them. He knew very well that it was because he had stripped Odin of his divine power that Odin had died.
But he had truly never expected this to happen…
The gods of Asgard had limited lifespans, but those lifespans were incredibly long—so long that they often never considered what a mere few decades might bring.
He had only wanted to play a prank, perhaps with a trace of malice, but he had never wanted to kill Odin this way.
Besides, it had not even been one or two years… for them, what an incredibly short span of time that was.
Thor stretched out one hand, and Mjolnir silently fell into his grasp. He no longer wished to hear any explanations from the people before him. He leaped high into the air as the power of thunder erupted.
Without a word, Artoria drew her sword and slashed upward to meet him.
Boom!
As the two powerful forces collided, the injured Snow Witch took the opportunity to turn into snow and escape once more. She flew straight up to the surface, where Solomon’s wings had already fully formed in the sky.
He had become the most powerful being here. Even Thor, who had just arrived, was utterly incomparable to him.
Wind and snow swept over the heads of the panicked crowd before descending upon Yun Wujiu, who had been frozen within ice crystals.
"Wujiu, we need to go. Solomon is preparing a terrifying plan. We must…"
Inside the ice crystals, Yun Wujiu said nothing. His eyes were pitch-black, and he had clearly entered the Cursed Meme’s influence once more.
The Snow Witch condensed into form and reached for Yun Wujiu’s head, intending to use Mental Power to help him regain his sanity. But in the next instant, two figures appeared out of thin air before her, so fast that there was no trace of their movement at all.
Not even her Mental Power perception, which covered nearly a thousand meters, had detected their presence.
Golden hair drifted gently, and white robes hung behind the first man. He had a sunny face, and his warm smile carried a trace of apology.
The other man beside him had black hair that covered half his face. He wore a black-and-red battle armor and carried a distinctive war fan on his back.
As the Snow Witch looked at him, her gaze happened to meet his. A Three-Tomoe Sharingan slowly spun in his eye.
"Namikaze Minato, Uchiha Madara… Damn it, it’s the Sharingan!"
Because she had never imagined that other reincarnators would appear in this world, the Snow Witch’s contingency plans had never accounted for encountering the Sharingan.
She was directly struck by Uchiha Madara’s Pupil Technique.
Namikaze Minato withdrew the technique formula he had inscribed beneath Yun Wujiu’s ice crystal and looked around. This was a world unlike any he had ever seen.
Even this brief period of contact had made him realize that this world’s level of civilization far surpassed Konoha and the Five Great Nations.
Yet even with such a prosperous world and civilization, humanity still slaughtered one another.
The Snow Witch froze in place, and Uchiha Madara snorted coldly.
He could not be bothered with such trivial matters, but as he looked up at the terrifying power in the sky, even he had to admit that the level of power this host had come into contact with was beginning to exceed the limits of his understanding.
"That arrogant, conceited fellow actually released all of us. Hmph, it seems that even he has fallen into a difficult situation."
As Uchiha Madara spoke, his gaze swept around. Amid the shattered city blocks and across the streets, black Grudge Spirits and cursed spirits began emerging from the darkness.
Meanwhile, a black barrier rapidly appeared over the underground world where the battle had just erupted, sealing everything within.
He snorted again, holding Satoru Gojo’s near-ambush attack using overwhelming power in great contempt.
Though he too possessed an ability like the Sharingan that could kill upon first encounter, he did not particularly enjoy using it.
He liked battle. He liked slaughter. In that respect, he was rather similar to that host.
