Shi Hao: I am touched by your return!

Chapter 554: Shi Hao: You Ruined My Moment!

The probing between the two realms had concluded, and the Celestial God Academy disciples, with trepidation in their hearts, once again embarked on their journey of tempering.

“Chi!”

At this moment, someone cast a spell, and a golden Grand Dao unfurled, extending infinitely, leading directly to the deepest part of this continent.

Everyone ascended, and Lin Fan was among them, for the destination this time was extremely special, and he wished to explore it.

“Boom!”

After an unknown period, with a violent tremor, they descended from the golden Grand Dao, arriving in a vast ruin.

It was desolate and ancient here; the colossal architectural remains and broken walls all spoke of the place's past glory.

However, the prosperous era could not be traced, and now only broken walls and ruins remained, stretching boundlessly.

Even so, some remnants still bore visible carved symbols, which even now emitted strange fluctuations, showcasing the extraordinary nature of the past.

“The ultimate land of the Immortal Battlefield!” someone suddenly cried out, recognizing the place.

Various legends surrounded this place.

The most special and noteworthy was a dilapidated ancient celestial platform in the central area!

Legend had it that in one epoch, this platform was highly legendary; those with Opportunity who ascended it would have a chance at Immortal Ascension!

Alas, it was shattered in the late Immortal Ancient era, and now only half of it remained, like a dark, heavy mountain, appearing incredibly oppressive.

“There are great Opportunities here, but also life-and-death crises. Whether to ascend or not is entirely a personal choice,” an Elder said.

This place was very mysterious; each person who ascended the celestial platform experienced something different, full of the unknown.

Some had entered a True Dragon Nest and revived alongside a Dragon, while others had entered an alchemist's chamber and obtained an Immortal Pill… It was always different.

Of course, it also contained danger; some had become lost in the River of Time, disappearing forever.

Upon hearing this, the Celestial God Academy students were both astonished and afraid, but having come this far, how many would retreat?

They were all extraordinary individuals, Prodigies of a region, who had experienced much and understood one principle: to gain, one must pay a price.

Therefore, after learning the truth from the Elder, almost all of them chose to proceed, setting off one after another to ascend the ancient celestial platform.

“Swish!”

One figure after another disappeared from above, vanishing in an instant, their destination unknown.

“The Immortal Ascension Platform, can it truly lead to Immortal Ascension?” Lin Fan murmured to himself, greatly interested.

Last time he came to the Immortal Battlefield, he missed it due to some unexpected circumstances, so now he naturally had to see it.

Subsequently, he also ascended the high platform, his body blurring and instantly disappearing.

The world spun; he did not know what his Opportunity was, nor did he know where he was going.

Slowly, Lin Fan felt as if he was being decomposed, breaking into pieces, like falling leaves or scattering light rain.

It was very hazy; his Divine Soul was also disintegrating, turning into countless glowing particles, leaving its original space-time, as if undergoing Reincarnation.

In a daze, he saw a great river… No, it was the River of Time, its years surging, flowing ceaselessly.

Looking at it, he could see neither its end nor its beginning; it was without beginning or end!

Lin Fan's heart trembled, and he awoke from his confusion. Where had he come to?

Furthermore, his current state was extremely peculiar; his body had transformed into particles, some very transparent, others relatively dim.

“Could this be related to how many ‘gates’ within my body have opened?” Lin Fan wondered with surprise.

He wanted to observe carefully, but the River of Time roared past from afar, its waves surging, an extremely terrifying sight!

Moreover, upon each splashing wave, there was a living being, majestic and unparalleled.

Undoubtedly, each wave represented an era, and those beings were the strongest of their respective periods, or rather, the Sons of Luck.

They stood on their respective waves, glorious beyond measure, representing the Peak of an era, illuminating the ages.

Alas, there was no eternal Peak or permanence; the years flowed by, and even the most powerful could not resist the engulfment of time.

“Years are like a blade, severing Prodigies; on the path to longevity, one sighs at the enchanting…” Lin Fan sighed; this was his current realization.

Then, eras shifted, years changed, and the human world rose and fell; the River of Time constantly changed, never to return!

More and more scenes appeared, history undergoing dramatic changes one after another, with heroes falling and Fairies bleeding… These sensory impacts were immense for Lin Fan, even leaving him a bit bewildered. Where exactly had he been brought?

Finally, boundless darkness descended, eroding the river, and Lin Fan shivered, utterly terrified!

Mist, boundless and vast, like a strange black tide, surged and rolled, engulfing one era after another.

“Have those extreme existences already begun to erode the rivers of all heavens?” Lin Fan was shocked.

This was not referring to the foreign realm, nor the Immortal Kings, but rather the ominous race, the Dark Immortal Emperor from above the heavens.

It wasn't until a vortex appeared on the darkness-shrouded river, radiating brilliant light, pure and flawless, dispelling the black tide.

This was astonishing; both the black mist and the vortex appeared suddenly, rooted in the River of Time.

“Time is truly wondrous!” Lin Fan's heart was startled; he now only wanted to leave this place, escape his predicament, and return to the present world.

“Whoosh!”

A great wind howled, and fragments of time danced. All of Lin Fan's particles were sucked into that vortex, disappearing from here.

He cried out, wanting to break free, wanting to resist, but it was of little use, insignificant compared to the suction force.

At the same time, his vision went black, as if he were experiencing eternity; in an instant, it felt as if millions of years had passed.

After an unknown period, things finally stabilized. Lin Fan opened his eyes and found that he was no longer particles, but had regained his form.

“What is this place?” Lin Fan wondered, the surroundings silent, vast, and soundless.

He walked forward, observing carefully. Chaos Qi swirled, and various scenes were indistinct, appearing hazy.

However, he still saw clearly that this was an ancient land, paved with bluestone, with one colossal palace after another standing tall.

Regrettably, this place was desolate and broken, just like the depths of the Immortal Battlefield before, having experienced a war.

The obvious knife marks, arrow holes, and palm prints on those palaces, walls, and stone pillars were the best proof.

“Where have I come to?”

Just as Lin Fan was wondering, a voice came, causing him to look up and follow the sound.

“Brother Xiao Fan, over here!”

“Xiao Hao!” Lin Fan was surprised.

In the distance, within a massive metal hall, as grand as a small mountain, without a roof but only walls, Shi Hao could vaguely be seen waving.

Lin Fan paused, deep in thought, then smiled and walked over, entering the hall.

Upon entering, the scenery inside the hall changed dramatically, revealing a hidden paradise, no longer desolate and bleak, but filled with birdsong, fragrant flowers, and vibrant life.

“Little brother, seeing you makes me feel much more at ease,” Lin Fan said, patting his shoulder, as if relieved.

At these words, Shi Hao's heart warmed, and he showed a moved expression, saying, “Brother Xiao Fan, you truly care about me.”

“No, you misunderstood. I meant that seeing you, an unkillable cockroach, means I can go back alive,” Lin Fan said with a slight smile.

Shi Hao: “…”

Damn you, Brother Xiao Fan, you ruined my moment!
