Situation on All Sides

After entering the building, War Machine and Peacemaker split up to rescue people. War Machine heard cries for help in the distance and hurried over, only to find several gang members surrounding a woman with ill intent!

War Machine immediately opened fire and killed the gang members. The woman cried gratefully, "Thank you, thank you!"

"No need. Get out of here quickly!"

War Machine waved his hand and turned to rescue others. At that moment, the woman suddenly transformed into a Lizardman and viciously kicked War Machine from behind. War Machine staggered several steps before crashing to the ground.

Quite a few people in City Hall had been bought off by Kingpin. Generous as ever, Kingpin had turned all of them into Lizardmen. This woman was one of them, and she had been waiting for reinforcements to take the bait!

"Damn it!"

War Machine rolled across the ground, dodging the Lizardman’s pounce, then fired wildly at her. The large-caliber bullets sprayed blood all over the Lizardman’s body! At that moment, another Lizardman leaped down from upstairs and slashed through the machine gun’s connection with one claw, then grabbed the machine gun and frantically smashed it against War Machine’s faceplate.

War Machine raised his hand and blasted the Lizardman away with a Pulse Cannon, but the other Lizardmen immediately swarmed him and began beating him up. He was instantly in danger!

Just then, six Micro Missiles flew over. Several Lizardmen were blown away on the spot, flesh and blood flying everywhere. However, aside from those hit in the head, none of them died. They were even recovering rapidly! Tony flew over with bgm playing and sneered, "I told you, your armor is low-quality junk!"

"I also told you, your armor is just a toy!"

War Machine reminded him, "Don’t use high-powered weapons. There are still many survivors inside City Hall!"

"Got it!"

Tony blasted an approaching Lizardman away with an Arc Pulse Cannon, then said, "Finish off the Lizardmen here quickly. I still need to save those cops! They may be a little ungrateful, but magnanimous Iron Man won’t hold it against them!"

"I hope so too!"

War Machine smiled bitterly, flew up from the ground, and fought alongside Iron Man! It took the two of them several minutes to finish off the remaining Lizardmen. Then Peacemaker shouted through the comm channel, "Come help! There are too many Lizardmen! I can’t hold them off!"

Tony laughed loudly. "I told you your armor was low-quality junk. Wait there, I’m coming to unleash my ultimate move!"

War Machine said disdainfully, "An ultimate move you can only use once!"

"You don’t even have one!"

Tony snorted and flew over to Peacemaker, firing laser beams that killed five or six Lizardmen in an instant! The Lizardmen were frightened and collectively took a step back, but they quickly charged forward again. Tony and the other two fought fiercely against them, nearly tearing the entire building apart! As more and more Lizardmen joined the battle, the three of them gradually began to falter. Just then, a fighter jet appeared outside and strafed the Lizardmen, forcing them to scatter out of the way!

Immediately afterward, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Hawkeye and Natasha led a group of fully armed agents jumping from a Quinjet onto the building. Hawkeye shouted, "We’re S.H.I.E.L.D. reinforcements! More people will be arriving soon!"

"I suggest we evacuate the survivors from City Hall, then bomb this place!"

Tony shouted. The Lizardmen were powerful and could regenerate. Even he could not handle more than a few at once. The best solution was to bomb them directly.

"No, the higher-ups won’t allow it."

Natasha shook her head. "This is New York City Hall. It’s the face of New York."

"Saving face even at the cost of lives!"

Tony cursed, then said, "If we can’t bomb them, we can only fight the Lizardmen head-on. That won’t just waste a lot of time—it’ll also be dangerous. I mean dangerous for you."

"There’s no choice. We have to do it this way!"

Hawkeye shouted, "The Lizardmen are coming again! Everyone, prepare for battle!"

Everyone shouted in unison as battle erupted once more! Meanwhile, at Police Headquarters, explosions rang out continuously. They were not rocket explosions, but the blasts of an Electromagnetic Railgun!

Facing the endless stream of charging Lizardmen, Electro could no longer worry about anything else. He fired his Electromagnetic Railgun wildly, each coin killing one or even several Lizardmen. Even the Lizardmen were being slaughtered into fear! "Max, after this battle, your popularity will definitely soar!"

Wind Demon said enviously. Then he swept three Lizardmen into the air with him. Bullets were utterly useless against him, because he was nothing but a gust of wind!

Electro said with a savage expression, "Right now, I just want to kill every last one of these Lizardmen!"

There were far more Lizardmen here than at City Hall. After all, gang members hated the police most! "Electro has an ultimate move. I’m so jealous. When will Spider-Man get an ultimate move? Without one, it’ll be hard to make a game!"

Inside the building, Spider-Man kicked a Lizardman away and said enviously. Chief George used his rifle to drive back another Lizardman and shouted, "Enough nonsense! Drive every Lizardman that got inside back out!"

"YES, SIR!"

Spider-Man saluted, then rushed at another Lizardman and fought it before Chief George could lose his temper.

Lizardmen could be afraid too. Seeing that they could not break through Electro and Wind Demon’s defense, they could only retreat and hide behind buildings, exchanging fire with the police.

"Electro, you really are powerful, but we know your weakness very well!"

A hat-wearing Lizardman fired his gun as he shouted, "You’re just a battery. You’ve been fighting for so long—do you still have any charge left?"

Another Lizardman also shouted, "That’s right, Electro! When you run out of power, we’ll tear you apart!"

"You idiots, Mr. Wang fixed that flaw for me long ago!"

Electro sneered and tore open his shirt. An Arc Reactor on his chest gleamed brightly. "Haha, stunned, aren’t you? I come with my own power bank!"

"You bastard!"

The Lizardmen were furious, but there was nothing they could do. The Electromagnetic Railgun was too powerful. They could regenerate, but not their hearts or heads.

The battle remained deadlocked. After a while, several police cars drove over from the distance, but the ones who got out were not police officers. They were a group of blood-covered Lizardmen!

The leading Lizardman mocked, "You guys are pathetic. We already slaughtered an entire precinct, yet you still haven’t taken this place!"

The previous Lizardman leader said irritably, "Enough nonsense. Let’s take this place together. Boss Kingpin is watching us."

"Then kill!"

The Lizardmen laughed loudly and joined the battle with a fresh force. The headquarters’ defense line gradually began to buckle.

Just as the defense line was on the verge of collapse, a bullet struck a Lizardman squarely in the head with a bang. The bullet seemed specially made, directly blowing the Lizardman’s head apart! Then explosions rang out one after another, blasting Lizardmen into the air.

Everyone turned and saw a group of people in black-and-red uniforms walking toward them with grenade launchers. The sunglasses-wearing man at the front shouted, "Chief George, the Blood Clan Police Department has come under the Blood God’s orders to support you!"

"Blade!"

Many police officers and gang members shouted at the same time. Blade shot a Lizardman with a grenade launcher and said coolly, "Looks like I’m pretty famous!"

Melinda, the Deputy Director of the Blood Clan Police Department, complained, "No, they just recognized your sunglasses. By the way, did Mr. Wang really give those sunglasses a one-million-dollar appearance fee?"

"The sunglasses are me. Of course they get an appearance fee!"

The people inside the shop cheered, "Hell Sisters!"

At the same time, inside Osborn Corporation, the Security Company personnel opened the windows together and fired grenades and rockets downward. The exterior of Osborn Corporation instantly became a hellscape, blood and flames everywhere. In less than two minutes, over half of the hundred-plus Lizardmen had fallen!

Coulson clicked his tongue. What he did not know was that any fight that fell into Frank’s hands would turn into a war!
